The solar bears are too damn good, people were trying to talk trash about how they can't win without fuller and yet they still impress me on the road against my Pythons. Goddamnit booter stop being a good gm. Anyway, on to the rankings!
1. (8-4) Portland Pythons (+0)
Remember in the offseason when people were saying that PDXBaller made some 'questionable' decisions in the draft? Yeah well now he gets to laugh in your face, because he drafted the team with the best record in the DSFL and has picked up multiple free agents that have been tearing apart the DSFL (Borro Gore and Thomas Kane the 3rd). Speaking of them, Gore has officially become the primary back in the Portland offense. He even gets a large amount of carries. It seemed like whenever I looked at the game Gore was getting a 15 yard scamper for a long first down. I mean the guys was getting huge gains. Gore is an awesome player so don't pass on this guy he will make you pay... And he is coming out of Portland so he is 100% a good pick! As for the most recent addition to the team, TK3 made a crazy impact tonight in the games. He posted an interception in his first goddamn game... This was a Portland defense that really needed a reliable linebacker and TK3 has filled that role well. He is looking to be one of the top prospects in the incoming S6 DSFL draft, but that does not matter because the Pythons have dibs so no touching TK3 Tijuana...You already have good linebackers and I don't care if they are going to the NSFL you have enough!
2. (6-5-1) Palm Beach Solar Bears (+0)
After a tough loss against my Pythons they went on to crush San Antonio at home, so to all the haters out there yes Palm Beach is legit. They have great game planning courtesy of booter, and have been impressing me even without fuller. Palm Beach is really looking like a strong team, and they have a great case for the number 1 spot on the power rankings. The only thing that worries me is that the non bot teams continue to get better while Palm Beach remains the same strength. The only thing keeping these guys competitive is booters game planning. So I wonder if we will see a bot team in the Ultimini?
3. (6-6) San Antonio Marshals (+2)
Mike Vick showed up to play against Tijuana in week 11, throwing for over 200 yards without any interceptions. They were able to pick up a difficult win in enemy territory in a close win. Despite losing out to the Solar Bears in enemy territory, rumor has it they were still drunk from all the Mexican alcohol down in Tijuana. So I think this is the 2nd best team in their conference, and Tijuana may be looking at missing the playoffs. If they really want to be able to beat the Solar Bears then they need to finish the season strong and get home field advantage in the playoffs, because they got destroyed on the road against Palm Beach. All in all this season may be a struggle for San Antonio...could they miss the playoffs?
4. (6-5-1) Tijuana Luchadores (-1)
The Luchadores played like any sports team from georgia against the Marshals, Asspie ended up choking on the final few drives, unable to get anything going and kept handing the ball back to San Antonio. As I predicted Asspie played like ass when it really mattered, and it was fun to watch. They lost at home against the Marshals and face them in week 14, and in week 13 they face the Solar Bears who are red hot. In order for the Luchadores to make the playoffs they need to knock off San Antonio at home and most likely beat Palm Beach, and Asspie will probably play horrible as always, and keep giving the ball back to San Antonio. The fate of the franchise rests on his shoulders, his defense has been playing plenty good all year he just needs to step up and play at least mediocre...
5. (6-6) Norfolk Seawolves (-1)
There isn't much to say about Norfolk, they are a bot team which will probably make the playoffs, they have had a pretty mediocre season that is winding down, they have had the best of Portland 2 times out of 3, and are hoping that they can get the best of them in the playoffs. However they are a bot team and aren't going to be improving as much as Portland will be, so I think we still have the edge.
6. (3-9) Kansas City Coyotes (+0)
The Coyotes actually put up a fight against Norfolk and Portland. However they are out of playoff competition so really don't have much to fight for. Many people also claim that Borkus Maximus should get the MVP because he has no talent around him, but I disagree and I will get to that in a different media article later (no disrespect to Borkus). But while we are on the topic of Kansas City I must say that there is a lot of hope for the franchise next year, the removal (not resigning) of jiggly has improved this team tenfold, and next year with scouting that's worth a damn now that they have a better GM they could really make a playoff run with a few good draft picks. Finishing at the bottom WILL give them the best picks so who knows how stacked they could be?
