Same as before but everyone's played an equal schedule now and I flipped Fun and Boring. Uglier axes but Fun being on top is better imo.

The blue dots to connected a team's logo by a very expertly drawn line show where that team was after Week 9. Clearly offensive yards per play were a much better predictor of success than defensive this season:

The only teams out of order had a razor-thin difference in Off. Yds/Play.

Going into the playoffs Arizona is trending the right direction, bringing their yards allowed per play way down over the last 5 games. Whether that's a result of their defense improving or the fact that they didn't play a playoff team in that stretch remains to be seen.

Orange County closed a lot of the ground on Yellowknife in terms of offense but also gave up a lot more. Looks to be just a bit of a reversion to the mean since there weren't many bad performances the last 5 weeks (though 6.5 yards/play against New Orleans isn't great).

Philadelphia and Yellowknife are both hanging around the same areas as after Week 9 thanks to a nice performance by Yellowknife's offense in Week 14 and Philadelphia's defense allowing over 10 yards per pass attempt Week 13 against Orange County. If the Liberty had held OC to around league average yards per play that game they would've jumped up to 2nd to finish the season.

New Orleans' defense shrank down the stretch, perhaps surprised they were actually in a playoff race and unsure of how to act. In Weeks 10-12 New Orleans allowed 7.5, 6.5, and 6.5 yards per play despite their offense putting up above-league-average performances in the first two games, including a season-high 6.5 yards per play in the aforementioned game against Orange County in a cruel loss. Two very good performances to close out the year nudged the Second Line just over the line into Boring territory and nearly into the playoffs.
