Week 3

The Coyotes head into week 3 with a hard fought win over the Pythons on the road and end their 3 game road trip in Norfolk. Johnny Snuggles (@manicmav36) and Jake Verden had 6 pass deflections combined and Snuggles is demonstrating his ability to shut down receivers early on in the season. Jaren Haden’s (@JayWhy) hardhitting style of play resulted in 6 tackles and a forced fumble and newly picked up J.N. Nova (@sarmo) caught 5 balls for 33 yards in his debut. Coyotes should have no trouble dispensing the Seawolves despite being on the road and finish with a 2-1 record to end their road stretch.

A 13-10 loss at home to the Coyotes is a tough pill to swallow, but there were some bright spots for the Pythons. Newly acquired tight end Johnny Blaze (@JBLAZE_THE_BOSS) added some much needed receiver depth to give McCoy (@TrueTexican) another reliable target. Stakowski should be able to move back into his true blocking role on the team as his dismal 26 yards for 6 receptions didn’t help them against the Coyotes. Trevor (@StickyRicky) had a decent rushing game with 16 attempts for 110 yards.

The first of their back to back matchups (due to weird scheduling randomization), the Marshals and Luchadores will trade games back and forth at home in weeks 3 and 4. Luchadores are the only team so far without a loss all season (including preseason) and look to continue their streak against the visiting Marshals. The Luchadores had no problems handing both bot teams and are currently the best defense in the league with Thorian Skarsgard (@MrStennett) laying the SMACKDOWN and leading the defense as one of the top tacklers in the league so far. Dick Cheese Jr. (@BaseScoutX1) showcased his ability to make plays against the Seawolves in week 2, racking up 4 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble. The Marshals have a tough defense to overcome if they have any hopes of winning this one.
Week 4

These 2 teams face each other again in week 4 as the Marshals look to stop the red hot Luchadores from body slamming their way to another Ultimini appearance. The Marshals had a good win at home against the Coyotes, but struggled on the road against the Solar Bears in week 2 where Wozy threw 2 interceptions and couldn't to get the offense going. Tyler Swift (@`BayleyIsland`) has quickly become an exciting runningback to watch and accumulated 119 yards for 20 attempts against the Solar Bears. He’s also second in yardage right now just behind send down stud Aksel Danielsson. Harvey Danger (@harvey) has shown lots of promise early on in the season, getting 2 receptions for 5 yards with 2 pancake blocks in week 2. Look for him to contribute even more to the Marshals offense with more training. Last, but not least, the league is excited to see Chris Steele (@AzhekAhriman) make some big plays against the Luchadores. In week 2, he was all over the field earning 2 tackles, 3 pass deflections, 2 interceptions, and a pick 6!

The Coyotes finally get to come home in week 4 to play the visiting Solar Bears. The Coyotes face the best pass defense in the league so it’ll be interesting to watch Luke Boechler (@YoungGreekBoy) react to facing that type of coverage downfield. Kansas City does the ability to bring pressure upfront themselves with a strong defensive line led by Stayve Jerome Thomas (@slimthugga). Recent addition, Rembrandt Khalil-Bugatti (@ghostfacethrilla), brings a big boy attitude to demonstrate that these Coyotes are all bark AND bite. Send down linebacker, Raymond Vans (@karl), is second in the tackle leaderboard right now and contributes heavily to the Coyotes strong defense. He will most definitely be stopping the run against the Solar Bears this game.

The second game of their 3 game road trip, the Pythons visit Norfolk to face the Seawolves bot team in week 4. They had no trouble facing them at home in week 1, where the Pythons held the lead over the Seawolves the entire game to win 30-23. It’s still early on in the season, but Caleb McCoy has already developed into a decent quarterback in short time. He’s the only quarterback to not have an interception so far and is completing 64.7% of his passes as the current leading passer. Despite not getting as many catches, Lucius Kaine (@Noble) is a highly efficient receiver averaging 17.8 yards over 5 season receptions. As both players develop, we should see Kaine’s numbers go up quickly. It may take some time for this time to get acclimated to each other, but once they start gelling it'll be a formidable offense.
