Game day. Wake up. Shower. Work out. Shower. Chow down. Leave for the facility.
This is it. I finally made it. Randy thought as he boarded a local trolley car heading towards the stadium. Randy was relieved that the first set of games were home games, as he did not have to deal with having to travel to play.
As Randy got closer to the stadium, Luchadore fans started appearing, wearing Blocksdale, Flash and a few Blaylock jersey's. Randy was shocked to see his name on a few fans backs.
"What are you doing here early Randy?" Coach asked outside the press area.
"I wanted to take in the atmosphere. You only have your first game once."
"Ok Mr. Sentimental. Just make sure you're in the locker room in time for warm-ups."
Randy went around the stadium to see the fans, some decked out in red and green face paint. Fans doing team chants, playing beer pong and waving around signs, some in English, most in Spanish. Randy saw one that said "El tanto", which translates to the touchdown with his number displayed beside it.
Randy opened up twitter and set out a tweet, guaranteeing at least one TD, 75 receiving yards, and a win in the days two games. He then messaged fellow rookie Dre Uzond, as the two played against each other in both of their first games.
Randy went in the locker room where he was greeted by fellow rookie Kyle Idlewyld.
"There he is the upcoming OROTY!" he exclaimed.
"That can only happen after you get DROTY." Randy replied.
"Hey don't count me out!" Inspectah Deck shouted as he tossed Randy's cleats at him. "We have to get to the field or coach might not even play us."
As the trio of rookies arrived onto the field, Randy departed to the offensive side where he was greeted by Avons Blocksdale Jr., the starting quarterback for the Luchadores.
"Hey Captain. What's shaking today?" Randy said.
"Just geared up to get some wins today. What about you kid?" Blocksdale said. "Saw your tweets. Lets make sure you achieve what you promised."
"Hey I am here to catch the passes you give me. Hope you can make me look good. And sorry for the extra pressure." Randy said with a laugh.
After warmups, the two sides prepared for battle. Tijuana started slow, getting only 3 points by the end of the first quarter. Randy did catch his first pass for ten yards about halfway through the first quarter. Things heated up in the second quarter. Randy the half catching his first career TD.
The second half was nothing special for Randy as he went on to end with 7 REC, 85 YARDS, and 1 TD. Kyle Idelwyld got a key sack to end the game.
Onto the next game against Myrtle Beach. Randy came out hot in the first quarter, getting two TDs scored. Randy would go on to not record any more receptions in the second half, ending the day with 6 REC, 50 YARDS, and 2 TD. Moreno was on point getting not one but two interceptions in the game.
After the game was over, Randy was informed he was leading the league in receiving TDs at the moment. He went on twitter and sent a tweet back at his fellow rookie Dre Uzond. He then spent the night chilling with his team as they celebrated 2-0 and already being the only undefeated team in the league!
