Colorado Yeti assistant general manager Carson Shmyr enters onto the podium followed by three of the Yeti's finest players. Linebacker Wyatt Fulton headlines the group, followed closely behind by defensive end Fuego Wozy and franchise quarterback Logan Noble.
"Welcome ladies and gentleman!" Shmyr says into the microphone. A little bit of static comes through, and he looks angrily at the audio team to help him out. "Today we're continuing the Colorado tradition of creating history, be it inside or outside the organization. We started this by creating the first individual team awards last season, giving players who may not have been recognized a platform to be rewarded. Today we recognize the locker room leaders who have made the biggest impacts on our team in the past year and a quarter."
Wyatt Fulton steps forward to Shmyr's side.
"Our first field captain is line captain Wyatt Fulton. Fulton joined the team as a managerial player at the start of S1, and has been a dominant force on our defensive side of the game since his first game. His leadership skills are unrivaled by anyone else on the team, as he was one of the main pieces that lead the Yeti to the Ultimus last season."
Fulton steps back and Wozy steps forward.
"Fuego has been a quiet leader in our locker room, but has been the perfect example of the players we want in our organization. His determination and drive to succeed as a part of our system is what makes him such a key member of the leadership team, and his ability to crack a joke in even the most high pressure situations is loved by his team mates. Your season two defensive captain."
Wozy steps back and Noble steps forward.
"Logan is well known as a leader on this team, and part of that likely comes from his role behind the ball at the start of every play. Last season, Logan took a vital role in our leadership core, joining the team as a managerial player and taking on the role perfectly. This season he will be representing us as the offensive captain."
Noble steps back.
"Thank you for attending our short event today, the player will now take any questions you have regarding their season or captaincy."
