I love the Dallas Birddogs. I was lucky enough to have been on their inaugural team back in Season 21/Season 22 and to have been their General Manager for three seasons after that. I was super proud when we made the playoffs for the first time a few seasons later and honestly thought we had a shot at going all the way then. This iteration of the Birddogs is the best team I've seen us field. Although its built somewhat on the back on a handful of semi inactive players it is producing wins at an unbelievable clip which is helping promote more activity amongst the most recent draft class. That's a success for the team at large. The biggest success, however, is that for the first time ever the Birddogs are in the Ultimini. I'm excited to see them push for a championship, but they wouldn't even be in the game if it wasn't for a miraculous, last second touchdown catch by Chunt the Badger against the Tijuana Luchadores in the Conference Championship. Chunt called game and put the Birddogs over the top into their first Ultimini. I've seen a lot of great plays from the Birddogs but that one easily goes down in history as one of their best highlights.

My favorite part of the season so far has to be Darrel's resurgence as a major player in the ISFL. After being mediocre(or worse) for so many seasons, Darrel Williams is finally looking up(right as his career will be ending, oof). Darrel started off especially hot in a few of the Liberty's early season games, as even though Sam Torenson had more carries than him in Week 1 Darrel showed up with a very high YPC along with a clutch touchdown and some great yards to kick off the Liberty season with a win. He finished the season not on the greatest note, but over 1100 yards, close to five yards per carry, and nine touchdowns continues to add to a strong career more good statistics. Darrel may not end up in the Hall of Fame like he has always dreamed about, but this has been a fun career for him and he is hoping next season will bring more of the same personal success along with some more big team victories, like the overtime victory over Honolulu in Week 1, or the big victory late in the season over the Orange County Otters, beating a tough rival of theirs. Overall, even if this season wasn't too successful, the Liberty can be proud that they have set a nice building block for their upcoming season, and that many of the key contributors will remain.

The Yellowknife Wraiths have inexplicably missed the Season 27 ISFL Playoffs. This is not something that I'm used to as I've made the playoffs for the vast majority of my ISFL careers. Of course my second player is Big Slammu, who actually won an Ultimus Trophy in his first season with the Wraiths. He had a whopping 0 sacks last season. It's been amazing to watch his development as he has gotten 11 sacks in his 2nd season. That's pretty incredible and I'm exited to see where his career ends up. Of course, the biggest highlight of his season was when he had a career high 3 sack game. You can't help but think of all the guys who helped you get to that spot. All the endless work and sacrifice. And it all paid off in Big Slammu's coming out party where he wrecked the opposing offence. He is an imposing figure at the line of scrimmage, and teams next season may consider double teaming and chipping him at the line of scrimmage to stop his insane speed. For Slammu it's swimming on land and using his famous swim move against helpless offensive lineman. I wonder what crazy moves Big Slammu will pull out in his next ISFL season. His goal is 20 sacks.

Picture this, we’re watching the first round of the season 27 DSFL playoffs. It’s Tijuana v. Dallas. Tijuana has the steady lead, ready to rip another chance of playing at the Ultimini from the birddogs’ paws. We’re in the fourth quarter, less than minutes to go. Tijuana is up by 27-21, ready to take on the Kansas City Coyotes. Then, the miracle happens. Joliet Christ Jr. throws a hail mary to none other than his reliable badger companion and receiver, Chunt The Badger. The iconic badger looks to his left and dashes to the end zone, grasping the ball with his paws. The weight of the team is on his shoulders. Chunt runs like no one has ever seen before. It’s a touchdown. The Dallas birddogs win their first ever playoff game in franchise history. Thanks to the prowess and connection between QB and WR, Dallas makes history. This potential finale to a season only marks how great of a year Chunt The Badger had. Not only did he break the all time DSFL record for most catches and yards, but he made history. If this season has taught anyone in the league something, it’s to never underestimate the power of the badger.

So far this season has been very fun, Waters is balling out with 3 interceptions and 20 plus pass deflections, with a lot of highlight. Especially with this new sim encouraging lots of big plays, with there rarely being a game without a 70 yd touchdown. But I would have to say that the best highlight from my player, was his multiple interception games. For some reason Waters loves being super inconsistent, getting no stats in 15 / 16 games and then getting multiple Ints in that one game. This season was no different, had a very tough matchup coming up against Arizona and was very scared in if we would win. Well I guess I did not have to be worried, cause in the first 2 minutes, I got a interception, and then a few min later I managed another interception but there was a twist, this one I managed to return for a touchdown. We ended up winning that game pretty easily, and it basically turned the tide around in our last few games, and without that win, we wouldn’t have ended up in a bye spot, and skip the quarterfinals. With AZ losing there, it was very lucky, and that game was a big highlight for season.

As most people know, Honolulu was plagued with an inactive QB in Luke Skywalker since the start of the season. Although Luke was performing admirably, we knew that there was a ceiling to his level of play. Therefore, Honolulu Front Office arranged for a trade. Chika Fujiwara's arrival in Honolulu was an exciting time for the entire team. Finally getting an active QB in the building really rejuvenated the team and hyped us up for our potential playoff run. Although there was an initial game where Chika struggled, the following game was an amazing highlight reel. Week 12, playing away at the Orange County Otters (historically a tough game), Chika went OFF. She went 40/46 in completions for 326 yards throwing 3 touchdowns with only 1 interception. Jed Podolak had a whopping 12 receptions for 117 yards. Within her first two games with the team, Fujiwara set the team game record for pass completion percentage. At the same time, Podolak set the team record for the catches! Spectacular performances by two players - one veteran and one newcomer, not only were outstanding performances objectively, but record-breaking performances for Honolulu team history. If that wasn't enough, Honolulu won on the road against the Otters 34 to 28. It was a game that put the league on notice that Honolulu was here to compete and that Chika Fujiwara was a QB to be reckoned with!

There are a lot of highlights from my rookie season of the International Simulation Football League. The San Jose Sabercats have so many playmakers and while I want to pick myself, it's really not worth it since I didn't score any touchdowns this year. Playmakers such as Tychondrius Hood and Jamar Lackson scored some huge touchdowns over 20 yards and even some 75-80 yard momentum changing plays. Specifically week during week two of the regular season against the tanking Baltimore Battlehawks Tyuchondrius Hood caught three touchdowns, one of which was a 76 yard bomb and a 66 yard bomb from Monterey Jack (one of the top quarterbacks in the International Simulation Football League). In addition to these huge plays, Rando Cardrissian scored two rushing touchdowns this game, one of 67 yards and the other was a 62 yard rush. This was arguably the most explosive game of the season for the San Jose Sabercats. The rest of the season contained many of these plays for these players. Going back to Tugg Speedman, while he had no touchdowns, he caught many late game first downs and many times came just a few yards short of the glorious six point play that every player wants.
