So if you're like me and and need money wanted to look into why people were drafted where they were in the S21 draft you're in the right place. I previously made a post looking at the reaching/stealing of draft picks team by team from the draft, and it left me wondering if there was a correlation of stealing/reaching based upon position that could be gleaned from the data. So here we fucking go.
First off lets look at cornerbacks.

CBs follow the trend line pretty closely as you can see and there is not much in the way of steals, but perhaps a couple reaches.

This is what I came here for. You can see that there were at least a couple picks that fell well below the trend line, and the clusters indicate that perhaps a pick put pressure on other teams to draft the same position

The same rush effect comes in with Defensive Tackles. with a quick rush within the first 20 picks. However that didn't lead to any reaches in the draft.

Kickers are strange. I'm not sure if there's any meaningful information to be gleaned from this other than that's a lot of kickers to be drafted for 10 teams.

With Linebackers we can see a rush effect in the late 30s early 40s picks that may have lead to some reaching.

Offensive lineman follow the line pretty closely but with a small sample size and no real top end talent its not much to go on.

Surprising no one. Most of the steals are QBs. Since many QBs have to be exceptional to even be drafted highly it makes sense to see so many above the line.

RBs are similar to QBs with a high skill necessary to be drafted highly. Whats interesting is the rest of the RB pool follow the line pretty closely.
