Hi. This is my PokeMock draft. You may be wondering what exactly that is. Well, quite simply it is a normal mock draft but there is an addition of the pokemon equivalence of each player. I refer to this as a “Poke Comparison” throughout the article. These comparisons were based off of many different factors. One more thing to keep in mind, I started writing this like a week ago and since then the order of the draft has definitely changed and that is also why the TPE’s may not be 100% up to date. Anyways, please enjoy!
1. Colt Mendoza – CB – Austin Copperheads – iStegosaurez - 180 TPE : As a fellow teammate, ‘Stego” is everything you look for in a teammate. He is helpful, great persona, and most importantly Stego is quite an intelligent individual. The dude runs an insane number of simulations to test out his ideas and theories about the NSFL. He would be a great help for Austin’s War Room and even has the brains to possibly manage a team of his own in the future. My Poke comparison for iStegosaurez would be Alakazam. The Pokédex entry of Alakazam in Pokémon Red and Blue says “Its brain can outperform a super-computer. Its intelligence quotient is said to be 5,000.” Alakazam’s intelligence strength allows it to telepathically control to defeat its opponents. Likewise, Stego has demonstrated his 5,000 IQ when he posts his nerdy articles in the media. Stego is at 180 TPE, so Austin will also get some great help at the CB position, and I expect Stego and Colt Mendoza to continue thriving in the NSFL.
2. Magnus Rikiya – DT – New Orleans Second Line – Tesla - 198 TPE : It was not a coincidence that when New Orleans traded up, they meant business. From what I have heard, Tesla is quite a nice guy. I have yet to hear anything about him that would make me think otherwise. A person like Magnus Rikiya in a team’s locker room will ensure that there will be peace and Magnus will gladly help out anyone in need of assistance. At 198 TPE, Rikiya is one of the best earners in this draft class and is also the second highest-ranked defensive tackle. My Poke comparison for Magnus Rikiya would have to be Gardevoir. Most of Gardevoir’s body is white, but its hair, arms, and the underside of its gown are green. Gardevoirs are famous for their loyalty that they will sacrifice themselves for their trainers' sake. Rikiya’s diligence and kind-hearted nature will immensely help New Orleans’ already high powered defense.
3. Tyler Oles Jr. – CB – Arizona Outlaws – To12143 - 215 TPE : Next up is the very well known Tyler Oles Jr. He is a Raven’s fan which kinda sucks, but even that can’t hide Oles’ ability to ball out both on and off the field. At 215 TPE Tyler Oles leads all cornerbacks from this class. This means that Arizona will get the lockdown corner they are looking for. The ball hawk in Oles will definitely strike fear in the opposing quarterbacks. More importantly, though, 215 TPE shows that Tyler Oles is nothing but a hard worker and earner. In the NSFL he will continue to exponentially progress. My Poke comparison for Tyler Oles would have to be the one and only Coriknight. Corviknight is known to be the Steel Raven pokemon from the Galar region. Corviknight is a large avian Pokémon resembling a raven. Most of its body is a lustrous black, but its lower beak and legs have a matte color. The black luster of its steel body could drive terror into the heart of any foe. Like Corviknight, Tyler Oles is not only a “raven”s fan but as I said earlier, will strike fear into the opposition and very much help out the Outlaw defense. Let’s also not forget that To12143 also helps out the league and with updating the Dallas Birddog roster.
4. Phat Boi – DT – Philadelphia Liberty – BadLck - 236 TPE : Great name, great player, and a great guy from what I’ve seen. Phat Boi comes in at a whopping 236 TPE which is currently the highest total TPE in this class. Philly has struggled all season long trying to stop the run, and with this pick, I think they have found their answer. I would be surprised to see either Phat Boi or Magnus Rikiya fall lower than this pick, but you never know. I do not know too much about BadLck, other than the fact the dude is a TPE demon, so that tells you something about his work ethic and character. Phat Boi’s render is John Randle who I suppose was apart of the infamous Minnesota Vikings’ defense “Purple People Eaters”. Because of this, I’d like to think that Phat Boi better resembles no other pokemon than Gengar. The Pokdex describes Gengar to “sometimes, on a dark night, your shadow thrown by a streetlight will suddenly and startlingly overtake you. It is actually a Gengar running past you, pretending to be your shadow.” In the anime, Gengar is most notably known for eating pokemon and other trainers’ dreams, as well as actually trying to eat some actual people. Likewise, look out for Phat boi next year to consume the opposing offensive line and take down the quarterback, nice pick Philly.
5. Derred de Ville – LB – San Jose Sabercats – Exilizer - 205 TPE : Derred de Ville is my first linebacker off the board. This outstanding linebacker has all linebackers in TPE all season long, as well as leading in other stats. San Jose will be delighted with this pick. De Ville will be a day one starter on the Sabercat defense and will immensely help out there pass rush and even run defense. From what I have read about Exilizer, it seems like he is a pretty cool guy. I have also seen that Exilizer, like Stego, has the ability to run a team of his own. This means that San Jose not only gets an upgrade on the defensive side but as well as another notable body in the war room that can help them out a lot. My Poke Comparision for Derred de Ville is going to be Braviary. Braviary is a large, avian Pokémon with dark red feathers on its back and dark blue feathers on its underside. Braviary is a large, avian Pokémon with dark red feathers on its back and dark blue feathers on its underside. Braviary is extremely aggressive, but for noble reasons. It will fight fiercely to help and protect its friends. Even if it is injured or has its life threatened, it will still fight. The more scars it has on its front, the more respect it gets from its peers. It is also known as the “hero of the skies” in the anime. De Ville’s compassion and more specifically his name really made this connection easy. Braviary is quite the Daredevil and will willingly sacrifice its health to help out its trainer.
7. Troen Egghands – DE – Honolulu Hahalua – Troen - 201 TPE : This pick will mark a big milestone in Honolulu’s young history. This very first pick is going to have to be an impactful one, and I assure you this pickup will suffice any worries about being unimpactful. Troen Egghands is the number ranked one rookie DE in terms of TPE and has definitely shown it on the field. Troen Egghands has an outstanding 6 sacks this year (2nd best), 17 tackles for loss, and 33 total tackles. So it is obvious that Egghands does not play games when it’s time for business. Honolulu picking Troen will ensure that they have a cornerstone on the defense to build off of. The young defensive end will continue to strive and lead the Hahalua for many years to come. As for the Poke comparison, I think this one is a pretty easy one; Exeggcute. It is not only because of the name though. Exeggcute gathers in swarms of six. The heads communicate with each other by using a form of telepathy that only they can understand. Similarly, Troen will is going to aggressively swarm the opposing offensive lines with his strength and speed. Honolulu will be very excited to have Troen Egghands on their roster.
8. Johnny Helzapoppin – S – Yellowknife Wraiths – Colabear - 194 TPE : From the looks of it, the Yellowknife Wraiths need some help in their secondary, specifically some depth at the safety position. Well, it’s your lucky day Yellowknife because the star-rookie safety Johnny Helzapoppin has fallen into your hands. The Myrtle Beach Buccaneer has been balling out this year stats-wise and also for TPE. At 194 TPE, Johnny has already demonstrated that he will be a reliable player/earner in the NSFL. But if you thought that was it, Colabear’s credibility around the league is through the roof as he just happens to be the DSFL streamer and a well-liked guy around the league. Choosing a Pokemon for Johnny was a little difficult, so I had to get some input from others in the league. Gucci, the GM of the Dallas Birddogs, claims that “Johnny Helzapoppin sounds like a fictional Rabbit’s name”, and so his Poke comparison would have to be Buneary. Buneary is a small, bipedal, rabbit-like Pokémon with brown ears that can curl up. It has two types of fur covering its body: a light tan fleece that covers much of its lower body, feet, and the tips of its ears, and a smooth chocolate colored pelt on the upper half of its body. Even though it is definitely a cute Pokemon, Buneary is one to be feard as when it senses danger, it perks up both ears. It can deliver powerful blows with its curled up ears, and it has an impressive jumping ability. Watch out for Helzapoppin to use that impressive jumping ability to snag a bunch of pick-sixes next year.
9. Thubba Bumper – CB – Colorado Yeti – baueranthony9 - 193 TPE : The third corner off the board is going to be Thubba Bumper. I do not know too much about Thubba Bumper or Bauer Anthony, but from reading other articles it seems like he is close friends with some GM’s around the league. So credibility around the league will not be a worry for Thubba. He is the fourth-ranked corner in terms of TPE. His 7 pass deflections are also second-highest on the Norfolk defense. Colorado will look to continue to improve their 8-5 record next season with this pickup. Thubba is a victim of this great class because, at 193 TPE, I’d like to think he probably would’ve gone much earlier in previous years. In my opinion, Thubba most resembles Aerodactyl. It's an ancient Pokémon that was thought to be extinct, but its high Speed proves that Aerodactyl is more than alive. Aerodactyl is a Flying-type and Rock-type Pokémon. Despite being made of rock, Aerodactyl can reach high speeds, which it uses to its advantage in Pokémon battles. At 87 speed, Thubba will rarely get burnt and will always be able to follow his asigned receiver. The young rookie is just getting started and will fro sure get even faster in the NSFL.
10. Matt “Son of Havoc” Cross – S – New Orleans Second Line – J0EB - 200 TPE : This class loaded on the defensive side, and look for New Orleans to capitalize on that with this pick. Matt Cross is the highest-rated rookie safety in this class and will asnwer any questions the Second Line defense has to ask about him. With the upcoming expansion draft, New Orleans is in danger of losing some key pieces in their secondary and because of that will try to draft Matt Cross. The young safety is earning TPE at an excellent rate will probably start on the Secondline defense. Matt Cross will enable New Orleans, who has the best record in the NSFL, to continue to stomp any teams that come in the way. Cross is definitely a secure tackler with 67 which is 4th on the Norfolk Seawolves. He also does have three interceptions. If NOLA is lucky enough for Cross to fall this far, then it would be a surprise for everyone if they do not call his name on draft night. My Poke comparison for Cross would be Doublade. Doublade is a ghostly Pokémon that appears to be based on a haunted pair of swords. Doublade is formed by “cross”ing two Honedges. It is able to rub its dual blades together to create a high pitched sound that can disorient foes. The two swords converse telepathically and can carry out complicated attacks together. I chose this pokemon simply because of the word play with Cross’s name.. Both Doublade and Cross cause havoc on the battlefield and will force their opponents into making mistakes.
11. Octavio Clemente – DT – Baltimore Hawks – Billybolo53 - 197 TPE : In addition to a surplus of star-studded defensive backs, this draft class also has a ton of all-star defensive line. The third defensive tackle taken off the draft board is going to be Octavio Clemente from Myrtle Beach. Despite Baltimore’s excellent season thus far, the will look to fruther bolster an already powerful defense. Like New Oreleans, Baltimore is in danger of loosing some players to the upcoming expansion draft. Those players that are lost in the expansion draft will leave holes that will need to be filled. The Hawks get lucky and find that Clemente falls right into their hands. Octavio has been a top earner this year (3rd DT) and will most likely start on the Baltimore defensive line on route to winning the Ulitimus. Octavio’s Pokemon doppelganger is going to be Feraligatr. This pays homage to Octavio’s alma mater, the Florida Gators. Feraligatr is a bulky, bipedal, crocodilian Pokémon with blue scales. It has large, powerful jaws lined with several sharp fangs. Feraligatr opens its powerful jaws to intimidate its foes and viciously shakes its head once it clamps down on foes or prey. Because it has difficulty supporting its weight out of water, it has been known to move on all fours. However, when hunting or fighting it is agile and fast, due to its powerful hind legs. Likewise, Octavio will use his powerful legs, strength, and speed to rush the quarterback in the NSFL and get a lot of sacks. Octavio was my predicted DROTY as well.
12. Jeffrey Phillips – TE – Orange County Otters – DrunkenTeddy - 228 TPE : You thought I was going to say another player from the defensive side of the ball, right? Well, you thought wrong as the next player off the board is going to be Jeffrey Phillips, the beast tight end from the Dallas Birddogs. The man, the myth, the legend - Jeff. Jeff has practically carried his offense this year and has been lighting it up recently. He is one of the best TPE earners in this class and by far the best tight end. Like the DSFL draft, tight ends are not thought of too highly and this is the reason why such a player with this much TPE falls this far. Orange County will look to continue their unprecedented domination of the league. Realistically, they don’t even need a tight end, but that’s why this pick makes so much more sense. Not only do they get some more depth, but even possibly a starter on the offense. As a teammate, Teddy has been a real cool guy. OCO will love this guy and will enjoy his presence in the locker room. My Poke comparison for Jeff is going to be Ursaring. Ursaring is a bipedal, ursine Pokémon. Its broad body is covered in brown fur, except its muzzle, inner ears, and paw pads, which are a light tan. It has narrow eyes, a triangular, black nose, and wide mouth with small, visible fangs in the upper jaw. Ursaring is highly protective of its young. So even though these two definitely have their aggresive sides, and are bears, they are also very friendly and are willing to help out their “teammates”.
13. Brandon Booker – CB – Sarasota Sailfish – Memento Mori - 200 TPE : Sarasota’s first-ever draft is going to be one of Myrtle Beach’s best players on defense, the cornerback Memento Mori. At 200 TPE, Memento is definitely a good earner. He also seems to be quite active in the discord and around in the forums. Depending on how the expansion draft goes, Memento may or may not immediately start next season in the NSFL. Either way, he will be a great person to have in the locker room and most definitely will be seen as the future of Sarasota for the upcoming years. Fun fact, Brandon Booker is currently in second on Myrtle Beach for passes batted down (11) and fifth for total tackles (61). I asked around to see what Pokemon match Mr.Mori the most, and the majority of the people seemed to agree on Noctowl. Noctowl is an avian Pokémon that resembles an owl. It has light brown plumage with a darker brown pattern of triangles on its chest. Noctowl is a nocturnal Pokémon that is called "the emperor of dark nights" by some. It has exceptional eyes that concentrate the faintest light and give it night vision, supple wings capable of silent flight, and it can twist its head at a 180-degree angle to increase its intellect. Fellow teammate Colt Mendoza tells me that [Memento Mori]” is a wicked smart dude and understands a lot more about the league and sim than most rookies do.” So it is pretty clear that Booker’s ability to cover receivers like a bird/hawk and his intelligence like owls makes this Poke comparison an easy one. The dude seems to be a beast overall and is going to thrive for many years to come in Sarasota.
14. Deshun Jones – DT – Honolulu Hahalua – FortyJordy - 193 TPE : As I have said before, this class is absolutely loaded on the defensive side, so there is plenty to go around. Here, Honolulu looks to continue to bolster up the defensive (after Troen Egghands) with the star defensive tackle from Dallas. Deshun Jones, also known as FortyJordy, has been grinding all season gaining as much TPE as he can. He is the fourth highest-rated defensive tackle and has helped the Dallas Birddog defense immensely this year. FortyJordy just happens to be one of the coolest people I have met in the locker room. He is very active, as in like I see him like every day in the discord. He will bring life to a locker room that needs it. As if that was not enough, Jordy is also apart of the Dallas Birddog War Room, so he by far no random “joe schmoe” from the streets. The dude knows his stuff, and will most definitely help out the new Honolulu team. If I am not mistaken, Jordy is a Kansas City Chiefs fan, and his render tells the same story as it is a picture of Frank Clark. So my Poke comparison for him is going to be Politoed, but not because of Frank Clark. It is actually because of how much Pat Mahomes of the Chiefs sounds like Kermit the Frog. Politoed is a green, bipedal, frog-like Pokémon with yellow hands, belly, throat, and toes. Politoed acts as a leader to Poliwag and Poliwhirl, which gather from afar upon hearing its cry. Likewise, Jordy will look to take command in Honolulu and help lead that defense.
15. Sandro Ryeu – DE – Arizona Outlaws – s4ndr0p - 185 TPE : Next up is another defensive lineman, Sandro Ryue. Ryue, also known as s4ndr0p is the first player to be drafted from the London Royals. Ryue is the second defensive off the board behind Mr. Egghands. From the looks of it, Arizona does need some help on the edge to rush the QB, and who better than Ryue. At 185 TPE Sandro Ryue is no slacker at earning TPE and I suppose he will continue to gain as much much possible before and through the upcoming draft. I do not know too much about s4ndr0p as a locker room person, but we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and says he is a pretty chill dude. As for Ryu’s Poke comparison, I was torn between Tauros and Boufalant. Both are bull pokemon with great strength and speed, but I decided to go with Boufalant mostly because he seemed a lot tougher. Bouffalant is a bovine Pokémon with a large, dark afro on its head. Two large, curving horns, each with two golden growths resembling rings, protrude from the afro. A territorial Pokémon, it will headbutt anyone that attempts to invade its territory and its headbutts are strong enough to derail a train and send it flying. Like I said earlier, Boufalant is quite strong and not something to be messed with. Similarly, look for Ryue to use his strength (and speed) to defeat offensive linemen next season in the NSFL.
16. Quinn Hughes – S – Arizona Outlaws – Isidore94 - 190 TPE : The Arizona Outlaws own both picks 15 and 16, and after how their defense performed this year, I suppose they’ll use both on defensive players. At number 16, the Outlaws pick up a great safety and ball hawk in Quinn Hughes. The Outlaws already have a safety, but nothing says “safety” in numbers like a well rounded and hard earning backup like this pickup. Isidore is a pretty well known guy around the league. I see him a lot in discord and on twitter as well. He is astonishingly the third highest-rated safety at 190 TPE, which goes to show how deep this draft is. Having a player like Hughes in your secondary is vital and will for sure make an immediate impact on the outlaw defense. It seemed that Quinn Hughes most resembled a ball hawk safety, so I decided to compare him to my favorite pokemon - Talonflame. Talonflame is an avian Pokémon that closely resembles a falcon. Red-orange plumage covers is head, wings, and most of its chest and back before tapering off into a flame pattern. This fiery bird feeds mainly on other bird pokemon, and fun fact; Talonflame
S wings are fireproof. Most importantly of all, in order to be a good safety you’re going to have to be pretty. Coincidentally, Talonflame is one of the fastest bird pokemon and can reach a top speed of 310 miles per hour (500 kilometers per hour). Hughes will look to use his speed to force turnovers next season and in the future.
17. Monty Jack – QB – San Jose Sabercats – Rradum - 209 TPE : Hey, would you look at that, another Dallas Birddog. Believe me, there is going to be a lot more. Monty Jack, also know as Monterry, and also known as “the better brother”, has been lighting it up as of recent. He has helped the Birddogs quite a bit this year on offense. As we all know, Rradrum is the GM of the Sabercats in the NSFL, so he will be forced to draft himself with this pick. Rumors have told me that Monty Jack may decide to stay in the DSFL to ball out for another year with GM’s Kyle and Stego
. Rradum has been nothing but a very nice guy i the locker room. As a teammate, he is willing to help anybody out, and as a player, the dude stays grinding. He may be first or second amongst QB’s for TPE by the time this article is posted. I truly believe Rradum is going to love Monty Jack, I just know it. Now for Monty’s Poke comparison. Everyone knows his nickname is “Cheese”, but unfortunately there is no cheese pokemon. So we’re going to have to settle with the next best option, a mouse. There a ton of so-called mouse-pokemon, but most of them do not even really eat cheese, but Dedenne does quite a bit in the anime. Dedenne is a bipedal, orange mouse-like Pokémon with a round body. It has round black ears with pale yellow interiors, black eyes, a tiny nose, and a prominent upper incisor with a slight point. And that’s really it for Jack… Cheese.
18. Eddie Jeeta – WR – Philadelphia Liberty – QuirkyTurtle - 195 TPE : Now we start to introduce some more of the offensive players in this draft. The first wide receiver off the board is going to be the Coyote’s best receiver, Eddie freaking Jeeta. With a name like that, I am surprised he falls this low. Philly struggled quite a bit this year to move the ball and finish off drives with touchdowns. They will look to solve those issues with this pickup. Jeet ais currently in the race for Offensive Player of the Year as well as Wide Receiver of the year. The dude has been balling out and it does not look like he is slowing down anytime soon. I cannot wait to see this guy go off in the playoffs. QuirkyTurtle has also shown that while he can produce on the field, he can produce off the field as well. The dude is currently only 2 TPE points behind the first place wide receiver and is definitely an active member in the discord and forum. Eddie Jeeta will look to possibly start next season on a struggling offense and will try and revitalize them. For Mr.Turtle’s Poke comparison, I was stumped on whether I choose a turtle pokemon, or does some wordplay with his last name (Jeeta -> Cheetah). Ultimately, I remembered how much swag Squirtle had in the anime with his Squirtle squad and chose Squirtle. Squirtle is a small Pokémon that resembles a light blue turtle. While it typically walks on its two short legs, it has been shown to run on all fours in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It has large, purplish or reddish eyes and a slightly hooked upper lip.
19. White Goodman – RB – Austin Copperheads – gucci - 221 TPE : Mr. White Goodman. Mr.Gucci. Mr. Steal Yo Girl. Whatever you call him won’t change how much a freaking beast the dude is. For all of this season, Gucci has been nothing but a great GM. He knows how to manage his team, create a fun environment, all while making sure we as a team put forth our greatest effort. He is also a pretty cool guy in the locker room. The pokecord in Dallas has no gotten super competitive between Gucci and I. It’s become a friendly competition between him and I and it is totally fun. Gucci also just happened to work with Kyle all season long so this pick makes too much sense. The trio and Gucci, Kyle, and Steg will continue to dominate the NSFL in Austin. White Goodman has also shown in expertise in the field of running all season demolishing any defenders in his way. At 221 that puts Goodman at the top of the list for running backs in this draft. As we all know, White Goodman was the lead antagonist and founder of the Globo Gym Purple Cobras in sports comedy film Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. The cobra dance they do in the movie is hilarious and so choosing Ekans as Gucci’s Poke comparison just made too much sense. Ekans is a purple, serpentine Pokémon. Its eyes, underbelly, the thick stripe around its neck, and rattle are yellow. Ekans has three pairs of black lines encircling its body, as well as another line that connects to each slit-pupiled eye and curves toward its nose. Its jaw can detach to swallow large prey, just like how Goodman breaks the ankles of the entire opposing defense.
20. Colby Jack – QB – Yellowknife Wraiths – flyeaglesfly29 - 222 TPE : The next to be drafted comes to no surprise. Colby Jack is the other Jack brother to be drafted, and also just happens to be the quarterback of the other expansion team, London. He comes in at an astonishing 222 TPE which does make him the highest-rated quarterback in this class. Colby, as we all know, is the current GM of the Yellowknife Wraiths so he will be forced to draft himself in the second round. This will prove to be a great pickup once the Wraiths current QB, Cooter Bigsby retires. Colby Jack is young and definitely is a great TPE earner. This season in the DSFL, Colby posted a league second-best 12 touchdown while also managing to throw for more than sixteen hundred yards. It seems like Colby Jack’s alma mater is the Oregon Ducks, so I decided that his Poke comparison was going to have been to a duck. There are a few duck pokemon in the Pokedex which did make this a bit tough. The one that most resembled the Oregon Duck mascot and also resembled Colby JAck’s characteristics was Sirfetch’d. Sirfectch is an avian Pokémon that resembles a white duck, standing no taller than its previous evolution and retaining its yellow beak, brown eyes, and eyebrow-like marking.
21. William Lim – WR – Colorado Yeti – yonggarius - 197 TPE : At pick number 21, I have the Colorado Yeti drafting, in my opinion, the best wide receiver in this class. William Lim has been nothing short of a baller both on and off the field. He’s caught almost every ball thrown his way and as a result, has immensely helped the Dallas Birddog offense this season. Lim has 197 TPE which puts him at a tight race with Eddie Jeeta for the top wide receiver of the draft. The dude has been grinding the TPE ever since he has entered the league and continues looking for for more every day. In the locker room, yonggarius is not one to create drama or cause havoc in a locker room. He hops in the discord and is super friendly. He enjoys helping anyone in need of assistance and never shuts down the idea of helping out another Birddog. His personality is super likable and is definitely not a person known to be rude. He is very active in the forums and in the discord. I see this dude like every day in the locker room, and he is the same chill guy he was the day before. Little known fact, yonggarius is from South Korea which is super dope. SO if you want to learn a new language, hit him up. The pokemon that I thought truly resembled Lim’s quiet yet hard-working persona was Mew. Mew is a pink, bipedal Pokémon with mammalian features. It has a rounded, wide snout, triangular ears, and large, blue eyes. It has short arms with three-fingered paws and large hind paws with oval markings on the soles. Mew is said to have the DNA of every single Pokémon contained within its body, allowing Mew to learn and use any attack. Just like Mew, Lim’s ability on the field is definitely not limited. He is able to do anything, and I mean anything, that will help his team win.
22. Haha Mango-Panda – LB – New Orleans Second Line – furiouspanda : The second linebacker to be taken off the board is going to my main man Haha Mango-Panda. There is just so much to say about this guy. The former quarterback made the decision to switch from QB to LB when he realized Monty Jack was starting. That switch proved to be a phenomenal decision as Panda is now rated as one of the best linebackers in the league. In the DSFL, he has been a tackling machine similar to that of Darius Leonard from the Indy Colts. Panda was around where I was in terms of TPE, but as of recently, this dude has turned on the burners and has been earning TPE like a mad man. The Ultimus winners are about to get a phenomenal linebacker to hopefully help them win back to back in the upcoming season. You may be wondering how active and how much does Panda participate in the forums and discord. Well, let’s just say that he is super duper active. I would say he is more active in the discord than he is on the forums. He hops on discord pretty much every day and really contributes to an already fun Dallas locker room. Just like Gucci, with Panda, it gets super competitive down in the Pokecord. Every day he’s down there snagging as many good pokemon as he can. He is super dope to be around in general, so the Second Line will be ecstatic to get him in the second round. Panda’s render is an edit of Pancham, but ultimately I decided to go with Pangoro instead for his Poke comparison. Pangoro shows that beast characteristics better than Pancham. Pangoro is a large bipedal Pokémon resembling a humanoid panda bear. Its head and belly are covered in thick white fur, while its lower body, chest, arms, and back are covered in equally thick dark gray fur. Despite its cantankerous demeanor, Pangoro does not tolerate those who pick on the weak. With arms powerful enough to snap a telephone pole, it charges into battle like a berserker heedless of any damage it might suffer. Panda is not your average guy to be messed with and will for sure make sure the right thing is always done.
23. Benson Bayley Jr. – LB – Chicago Butchers – BayleyIsland - 165 TPE: I do not think I had seen anybody like Taylor Swift as much as Bayley. It also seems like Bayley is talking about Taylor Swift and her songs like every day. But nonetheless, Bayley is super friendly and one of the most helpful people I have seen in the discord. Bayley was in the Dallas discord every day until… he became the GM of the Chicago Butchers. Which is the main reason why this is their second draft choice. But fear not, Chicago is going to love this player. At 15 TPE, Bayley is earning pretty well and is young so there is lots of time to get better. My Poke Comparision for Bayley was a pretty easy one as it reflected who Bayley is a person pretty well. The pokemon I chose for Bayley was Jigglypuff. Jigglypuff a pink Pokémon with a spherical body. It has pointed ears with black insides and large, blue eyes. It will inflate its lungs and begin to sing a soothing lullaby. If the opponent resists falling asleep, Jigglypuff will endanger its own life by continuing to sing until it runs out of air. Taylor Swift likes singing and Jigglypuff likes singing, so yeah.
24. Acura Skyline – RB – Orange County Otters – Skyline - 199 TPE: Another offensive player is taken off the board here, specifically the second-best running back in this class. Acura Skyline has been tearing it apart on the field. Each and every game he is blazing down the sideline scoring touchdown and racking up yards. In my opinion, the London Royals running back was by far the best running back statistically, and he has the numbers to show it. I can not remember what team it was against, but in overtime, Acura decided it was time to go off and and bolted down the field for a 68-yard winner. The Orange County Otters will look to make a comeback this next season in the playoffs and who better to help them out than Acura Skyline. He does have 199 TPE which is an indicator this guy is all business when it comes to earning TPE. I do not know if I have seen him in the discord, but do not take my word for how active he is. Going off of his speed and how fast he looked in the sim I decided that Acura’s Poke comparison is going to be none other than Pikachu. As we all know Pikachu is a short, chubby rodent Pokémon. It is covered in yellow fur with two horizontal brown stripes on its back. The black and yellow coincidentally coincide with the black and gold jerseys of the Royals. In the anime, Pikachu is known to give off “lightning-fast” thunderbolts and is super quick and agile. This allows it to maneuver on the battlefield like Skyline does on the football field.
I am currently in the works of rounds 3-5.
Word Count: 6137
