After a stunning victory to close the regular season for the Yeti, Bubba Thumper enters the press hall in Colorado, and steps to the podium, beaming wildly. He greets his audience, "It's a pleasure to see y'all, let's get this thing started, shall we?"
Bubba sighs heavily before attacking this question, "I'll be honest, I never imagined myself playing anywhere else. Colorado has been my home for eight seasons now, and although I'm excited about the opportunity Peter is giving me to be a part of the foundation for New York, there's still a bitter taste in my mouth leaving Colorado".
"I came to this team with one goal for myself: hang banners. We did it once, so, I have more work to do."
"I intend to keep doing exactly what I've been doing. I hit quarterbacks, and until I hang up my cleats, that's always my game plan."
Bubba chuckles, "I'll be honest, it's going to be new. I've spent most of my life in San Antonio and Denver, so New York, that's a whole new ballgame. But I welcome the challenge, I'm excited for the adventure".
"Nothing will ever beat the first Ultimus. We've been through so much as a team, and to finally be able to say we were the league's best...nothing tops that, you know? That's what we play for, what I play for."
"It's new. It's refreshing. It's exciting, if I'm honest. We've spent so many seasons trying to squeak past Yellowknife, and now we've got something resembling control...I'm happy to have the opportunity to give the fans a playoff game on our turf."
Across the country, Peter Brand nervously approaches a podium in the newly constructed press hall for the New York Silverbacks. The gathered reporters are fewer in number, but seem to be buzzing with an equal amount of energy. Brand welcomes his audience, "I'd like to welcome all of you to the Concrete Jungle. I'll be taking any and all questions I'm allowed to answer, so ask away".
"I got a call from an old colleague of mine here in New York, asking me what was next for me. I told him I was thinking of calling it a career, but something about our conversation made me reconsider. And, well...here I am."
"Well, it's simple really; we have to lay the foundation. As of now, the roster is mostly empty, so we have to find the best players we can to plug the holes, and hopefully build a team that people want to be a part of. I've done it before, so here's hoping I can do it again."
"I'll be honest: we haven't set a five year plan. That's not how we see things in New York. Every day brings its own challenge, so we're taking things day to day. We're doing work to lay the foundation now, and once that's ready, we'll go from there."
"Obviously not having Tommy around, things are going to have to change some, but really, I'm going to try to operate the same as I did in Colorado, the same as I did in Minnesota. The difference is the pieces around me, but I'm confident that we're going to be able to pull together a successful staff, a successful roster, a successful franchise."
"We know as well as anybody that success comes from building an environment people want to be a part of, so that's the primary goal. We're looking for players who want to be here, who want to be a part of something that we believe can be really special."

What will you do different with the Concrete Jungle that you didn't do in the Reclusive Mountains? (Additionally, what are you planning to keep the same?)
