Well well well, it is finally time! Ladies and Gentlemen, children of all ages, the moment you’ve all been waiting for. It is without further ado my pleasure to announce the first lot of teams for the TPE CAP League.
As a reminder for how this works, each person had to create a team from scratch, spending no more than 16,800 (672 TPE per person) on the attributes of their entire team, consisting of 25 players with the following requirements:
Offence - 12 players
1 QB
2 RB
4 WR/TE ( with a minimum of 1 WR and 1 TE)
5 OL
Defence - 12 players
3 or 4 DL (with a minimum of 1 DT and 1 DE)
3-5 LB
3-5 Secondary (with a minimum of 1 CB and 1 S)
Kicker/Punter
Each Player’s experience will be set to 4, and the rules for DC and strats follow the ISFL rules.
With this all done, the teams will all be input into the sim and duke it out to see who is the best team builder, with a submitted DC and strat that will be used for every game of the competition.
Whilst we started with 28 people, over time some people have left us and we have ended up with 24. The first group consists of 14 people and the second group, once all ready and set, would have the remaining 10. The people in this first group are: @PMoney, @Pat, @Kotasa, @Jiggly_333 (done whilst TakaMori), @Z-Whiz, @Gragg9, @Rusfan, @zaynzk, @TubbyTim69, @Modern_Duke, @shrub02, @NicholasTheGreat, @siddhus and @124715.
Below is a snapshot of each of their teams, and a write up I asked them to do explaining their team and why they built it the way that they did. YOU CAN CLICK HERE FOR A SPREADSHEET OF ALL THEIR TEAMS. Sim file is being made so hopefully very soon the first results and even sims should be out!! Comment below who you think is gonna win.
Team PMoney
So, for this team I decided to see how the completely stacked run heavy team would go. Arizona have a team currently that involves getting Nakamura a lot of yards, but how would they do if they ran nothing but Smashmouth 20 on every down? How would they do if all their players built for that exact purpose? God Bless @Z-Whiz for playing entirely at FB on his maxed RB, but would things be different if he was a FB arch? Who knows, but we’re gonna see how this goes anyway.
All the TPE on offence is mainly on the RB, Mobile QB and Run Blockers. Smashmouth has a roughly 30% chance for the QB to make a running play if you tick the box so the Mobile QB that hasn’t seen much play in the ISFL will get a chance to show why we shouldn’t see any more of it. Unfortunately, the sim still makes you throw sometime much to our dismay. So, we have 1 deep threat receiver with as much throwing TPE on the QB as possible, so he doesn’t throw 5 ints a game, but every passing down is a failure on the playcalling. 2 Blocking TE’s have been recruited with the aim to have 8 blockers for the RB on every play but they might run off and get some TDs as well as the smashmouth playbook does like it’s TEs on the passing downs more than any other playbook.
On the defence I decided to put most of the TPE into LBs and CBs. Safeties seem like they are unfortunately very weak in the new sim so this is a bit of a test to see how they do. The big boy DTs up front are all Nose Tackle Archetypes as they weigh more and have a ‘bigger sphere of tackling’ if the sim transfer team is to be believed. I’m hoping this will counteract their lower TPE totals but who cares about DTs anyway? The core of the defence is the LB’s and CBs and hopefully if any of the teams are running the (probably more optimal) heavy passing strat the strength of those players should shine through. The 3-4 defensive system I’ll be running should allow the stronger LBs to shine and while I only have 3 LBs, the Physical corner should be able to fill in as the 4th when he’s not at NB. This allowed me to recruit 50 TPE legend Kai Sakura who won’t need to see any game time and split his TPE up elsewhere. Generally lower TPE players archetypes were based on the base TPE in each build as you could sometimes squeeze out another 25 TPE without changing any of the stats.
The names were randomly thrown together from a variety of places, please don’t judge me too harshly but I had better things to do than figure out 25 names. Ultimately, I am not expecting this strategy to work that well. I didn’t do any simming as once again, I had better things to do. It’ll be a fun exercise though to see how many yards a RB can get in a season and allow @infinitempg to make new demands in his contract.
Team Pat
My ultimate goal for this team was to test non-meta builds against the other teams to see how their fare. With the league trending more and more towards the pass-happy modern-day NFL, I wanted to go more old school. To that end, I built a team around having a strong running game, a short passing game, and a strong defense that can get pressure with the defensive line. I have a higher average of TPE invested in my Quarterback, Running Back, and front seven on defense. My hope is that my team can move the ball slowly and steadily and end up with a lot of manageable third downs, which they will then convert with that aforementioned strong running game! If you miss the old ISFL that had teams carried by a strong running game, this offense is for you! On defense we will employ a low blitzing strategy and will hope to get a lot of pressure from our defensive line, especially or speedy Defensive Ends, Righteous Flavor and OutOf Bounds. I also opted to go the route of having three Safeties on the roster, one of each archetype. My base sets will use my Center Fielder and Ball Hawk, but in Nickel I want to get my Enforcer out there to help in the run game and taking down opposing Tight Ends.
Team Kotasa
Listen folks, I’m a little crazy, I have played DDSPF for the past year or so, for fun. See I got DDSPF21 before I even knew we were swapping sims, though I did push for it heavily. I joined with my boy Dermot in another league which you took over a team and were the GM for it. It was a good time and actually got me into a game in which I created leagues, expansions, mergers entire story lines just for my own entertainment. So what better way to live out some more of this than creating a little team for Darkness’ league. It’s a bit different as in my personal leagues I don’t use TPE, just traditional regression and progression as WS intended. This gave me a chance to use a ton of freedom and create my dream team while still using the playbooks we use here in the ISFL.
QB - Coral Cassus - Mobile arch - 1005 TPE spent
Traits: Dual Threat, Athlete
Cassus, like most of my players including Rich Triplet, is named after a QB I drafted in Madden and turned goated. Triplet is still my most insane QB I’ve had in Madden but Cassus ranks highly among the ones I remember. While he was more of a field general I wanted to give him some love and without any currently capped mobile QBs I figured it was worth testing in a league that emulates our own to an extent. The first thing I did was cap his rushing stats. I plan on running mainly spread, west coast, and smashmouth play books which feature many running plays that call the QB if it is a running QB. I opted not to cap his throwing attributes but get them to a respectable 85 across the board in arm, accuracy, and intelligence. A QB who can get the job done but might not carry the team, but I had planned for that.
RB - Brandon Graham - Power arch - 825 TPE spent
Traits: Raw Talent
Power backs are goated alright, I see all these speed dudes but if I can get the choice to have a RB with 50 more pounds of weight, is taller and only gets 5 less speed for higher endurance and strength I’m taking it personally. Part of this was influenced by the fact 95 - 100 speed is a whopping 125 TPE and every point matters in this league. Graham is planned to be my workhorse of the team when we go run heavy. While he only has 71 endurance I hope that when he touches the ball he is able to make 2nd and 3rd down manageable.
FB - Lawrence Laviticus - Fullback - 735 TPE spent
Traits: Blocking FB
When do we see FBs that are this elite, I give anyone who plays the position mad props. I was really excited to get a FB on the team and plan to use him in a utility sense, playing him as TE2 in formations that he is not up as FB. He can also run the rock just fine in times Graham needs a rest. Again when it’s time to pound the rock having an elite Fb was something I sought out.
WRs - Shewin Blue, JASSxton Kingson, Paul Truman - 2335 total TPE spent
Sherwin Blue, Possession - 955 TPE
Traits: Slot Receiver
JASSxton Kingson, Speed - 955 TPE
Traits: Deep Threat
Paul Truman, Slot - 425 TPE
Traits: Slot Receiver
With these guys I wanted two elite talents at WR, same TPE spent, near capped aside from traits and a one two punch that I can move around the field as I see fit in different formations. Can move the burner in Kingston around to any position on the field and having a reliable first down target in Blue is also great. Some may wonder why I slacked on Truman but it goes back to my goal of controlling the ball but if need be Truman has great hands agility and speed to be able to contribute if called upon. This group might be the most interesting due to grabbing one of each arch. I considered capping Truman along with the other two but just didn’t see the TPE from the rest of my team construction.
TE - Jeff Blonchie - Blocking - 580 TPE
Traits: Blocking TE
Now you might look at my roster at this point and be seeing some thicc lads, Power RB, FB and a blocking TE? You’ll see why in a second but I am pretty excited for Blochnie, I have no intention on him seeing targets due to his lack of speed and hands, 70 in each, but I think he will assist heavily in keeping Cassus upright. He’s there to open lanes and keep our QB protected and if needed grab a ball or two.
OL
Jerry Blockstien
Terry Blockstien
Larry Blockstien
Barry Blockstien
Bob Blockstien
All Maulers - 310 TPE spent on each
That’s right fair rubs gang, I disrespected the entire line by only dropping 310 TPE on them all, in all reality I wanted to beef them up and just destroy opposing defenses but when I did the numbers it would’ve taken far too much from my defensive TPE so knowing I have 3 great blockers to support the team I decided to leave them a little on the weaker. None of them are particularly bad, boasting 80s across the board, it’s just traits for OL are expensive and grabbing 100 strength is even moreso. Keeping them all maulers I am hoping the weight will make up for the lack of stats in some areas. This is gonna be the thing to watch.
DT - Vance Slattery - Nose Tackle- 880 TPE
Traits: Bull Rusher, Competitor
Look at me! I’m running 3-4 and no one can stop me. I remember chatting with Pat when we first joined the league about how not good NT was in DDSPF16 and to honor my main man I brought Slattery back from the dead using necromancy. A thicc lad almost capped in all strategies I plan to use him as my run stuffer to let my LBs run free.
DEs
Johnathon Joestar - Speed - 620 TPE
Dio Brando - Speed - 620 TPE
Looking back, these two should be power rushers with their given names. Such is life when you go quickly through your player creation. With capped Speed and Strength I intend on these two guys to really go nuts while Slattery’s thiccness takes up 2-3 blocks a play and let these two fly to the QB. My main concern is me skimping on traits for these two but I have a reason for it.
Outside LBs
TheFear OfTheAbyss - Pass Rusher - 575 TPE
Traits: Competitor
The EndlessVoid - Pass Rusher - 575 TPE
Traits: Competitor
On paper, you don’t want your most dominant pass rushers to be sub 600 TPE but based on what I was seeing plenty of people were skimping on OL to spend elsewhere. With 85 speed and solid agility and strength I am hoping they can at least create pressure to let the back half feast on errant throws and rushed decisions.
Middle LBs
Johnny Trapmen - Coverage - 550 TPE
Jerry Boss - Versatile - 740 TPE
Traits: Competitor
So lemme get Trapmen outta the way, based on my sim knowledge he will be playing roughly 60-70% of the snaps in total per game, I capped his speed and gave him solid but not great stats in other moves such as strength, agility and intelligence. He won’t be playing all the time and is mainly here as a support to Boss. Speaking of Boss, I’m pretty excited to see him, again traits were expensive so I went with competitor as he should be my leading tackler with how our team is constructed. 80s across the board with a solid 90 tackling he will keep teams running games in check and any throws into the middle of the field will be quickly caught out.
Now my favorite part of my team, the secondary.
CBs
Triplet WasRobbed - Physical - 1045 TPE Spent
Traits: Competitor, Press Corner, Perceptive
Dermot Lavelle III - Physical - 1045 TPE Spent
Traits: Competitor, Press Corner, Perceptive
Juno Bum - Slot - 675 TPE Spent
Traits: Competitor, Perceptive
Couple of things to clear up here, WasRobbed was created almost two months ago and the wound was fresh. Still believe it but tbh it was the Drew Brees situation, someone else was better and big ups to ABH. That being said he is corrupt and THIEF!!!! (ty for updating me tho much love brother) RIP Dermot and as a LSG client, which I may remind you all is not an agency despite many asking about how they may join Lavelle Sports agency which to my knowledge does not exist. Anyhow back to how I built them 2 capped physical corners which while only having 95 speed should still be able to lock down most if not both WRs on the opposing side. You can see that in the Arizona Outlaws defense this season with Crunk and Triplet both being capped CBs. Giving them both the most important traits in my opinion and capping all their main attributes was a main priority for me with my admittedly weaker front 7 I wanted to make sure these guys were stacked up properly. Onto Juno Bum. First lemme say I made this name after he had his 1 PD in 16 game season, which was tough for my boy BUT I wanted to give him a solid shot in the slot to get the rock and to the top! Slot CB only plays roughly 30-40% of the time so a high TPE investment while not necessary, was a nice addition to my squad ensuring that if someone went WR crazy I have a fighting chance.
FS - Zane WithAWhy - Center Fielder - 900 TPE Spent
Traits: Center Fielder, Competitor
Now, I hear you. You spent 900 TPE on safety?? Safeties don’t even get stats. Why are you spending that much on safety?! Well wait until you see my SS lmao. Anyhow from my time in Tijuana having two capped corners and two bot safeties pass defense was a little rough, now I have no actual knowledge but I believe that safety while not the monster stat machines they were in DDSPF16, which was absurd because an average FS season in DDSPF16 is an all pro safety season irl and currently safety is in a place where it reflects closer to it’s irl counterparts. Anyhow I believed that having a solid speedster will assist in the off-chance that WasRobbed and Lavelle III are burned and able to get to the passer in case of a blitz call. I’m interested to see how my safety duo performs.
SS - WithAWhy Zane - Enforcer - 1025 TPE Spent
Traits: Box Safety. Competitor
Hell yeah I spent more TPE on SS then I did on FS and I’ll tell you why, first I thought of my theory that elite safeties increase CB production which will shut down passes and I capped an enforcer because as seen earlier I went a little easier on the LB TPE. Using WithAWhy as a LB/S hybrid in assisting not only the pass defense but also blowing up runs with elite production is my goal for him. I hope he can be my Harrison Smith of the team and be everywhere I need him to be when I need him to be there.
K - TPE IsALie - Power - 520 TPE spent
Capped power, Capped Accuracy, and 0 intelligence. I have no intent on punting the football so my man is just here to kick balls into goals from any distance we ask. I didn’t put a ton of thought into this but I’m excited to see.
Gameplan
Since we aren’t going to be changing gameplans game to game I have no issue posting my plan for this time. 3-4 with max blitz rates is obvious with how my team is constructed, I wanted a 5th LB but corruption and oppression prevented me from doing so to have a solid backup to come and relieve my pass rushers.
Offensively is where I’m interested to see this, I made a point to cap hands for Graham so I have the ability to run west coast and then move to more of a spread formation and even using him in a WR role while putting my FB in to block when I put Graham out wide. Quick passes will be the goal on game to game and ball control. I won’t allow teams to pass on me which I know people will want to do, and instead pigeon hold them into running the ball while my speedsters score quick.
Team Jiggly (written whilst TakaMori)
For my team, I decided that I’d make it themed after HoloLive. So every single player on the team is a member of HoloLive. While I could put together assets for it to actually look like a HoloLive team, I’m not very good at graphics and didn’t feel like taking too much time for that. I’m going to give an explanation for each player and archetype for why I chose which HoloLive member for each position, but first I just want to give an overview of my strategy for this team.
On offense, I’ve always liked the way that Spread offenses look. I don’t watch that much football, but I’ve played some football games and I really loved the way the Spread offense felt in NCAA Football 14. So I want to try to replicate that sort of high-tempo and fast-paced offense.
On defense, I actually want to switch between two different looking set-ups, but it might not work out the way I want. If I’m able to gameplan, I want to be able to switch from game-to-game between a 46 defense and a 3-3-5. When making the team, I actually did some research on the sort of characteristics you would want out of a player in each position for both defenses. If I were forced to choose one set-up, I think I’d end up sticking with the 3-3-5 because it’s more likely that I’d be dealing with Air Raid type offenses. In fact, that’s why I want my Spread offense to work so well because it can both run and pass well. It’s not focused on one thing, it’s flexible. But if I go up against a team that looks focused on rushing, I’d want a 46 defense out there. In fact, if I were to go up against a more flexible offense, I might just stick with a 46 set-up and try to just run more balanced defensive plays.
So let’s get into the team itself. I should add that I use the Japanese presentation of last-name first because that’s how I always remember these characters.
QB - #3 Shishiro Botan - Scrambler - 870 TPE
I chose the La-La-Lion as my quarterback because she’s an amazing sniper, so obviously she could throw the ball perfect and accurately. As for Botan’s build, I figured that the first thing I wanted was for her to be fast, since this would be a high-speed offense. So I added the Dual Threat and Athlete traits to hopefully help her reach that. She might not be that steady of a passer, but I would hope that the Spread offense will spread out the defense to the point where she can find her receivers wide open and ready to bolt downfield.
RB - #23 Takanashi Kiara - Speed Back - 790 TPE
As probably expected, Kiara is my runningback. With Kiara Tenoh succeeding in the DSFL, I figured that I should just try to keep things as similar as possible, just with more points to work with. I gave her 100 speed, 80 agility, and 80 endurance. She’s got the Scat Back trait, which I forgot what it does, but I think she’ll do great. I mostly hope I can run read options so defenses will have to struggle with choosing between chasing Kiara or Botan.
RB - #33 Usada Pekora - Power Back - 372 TPE
One of the most important things to do once you get the ball downfield is to score. I hope that the offense can just score on its own on those big plays, but in short yardage situations, I want Pekora to be the one handling the ball. I chose Pekora because she broke out of prison, so she can hopefully break through the line and into the endzone when she needs to!
WR - #88 Oozura Subaru - Speed Receiver - 805 TPE
I really like Subaru, so I wanted to make sure the duck girl got a good skill position. She has the vibe of a widereceiver with her great dance moves in animations, so here she is! I decided that widereceiver was an integral position to the Spread offense, so she needed to be fast as well. With the Deep Threat and Athlete traits, I just want her to run up and down the field all day. Maybe she’ll even take the kick returns.
WR - #83 Ayunda Risu - Speed Receiver - 750 TPE
Building the three widereceivers, I made them on a sort of spectrum of speed to hands. Risu is in the middle. I made Risu a widereceiver because she’s a squirrel and squirrels are fast. She also has the same traits as Subaru. The only difference is that she’s a touch slower.
WR - #85 Gawr Gura - Slot Receiver - 585 TPE
Gura is a shark and sharks are fast! I actually just really wanted her on the team and this was the only open slot left for a name that I hadn’t already thought of. I’m pretty sure that slot receivers are actually supposed to be pretty tall, so it’s a bit weird that I chose such a short shark. But I gave her the best hands of the group.
TE - #84 Mori Calliope - Possession TE - 700 TPE
I’ve always thought that the most important part of a good Spread offense was a good tightend. And I sort of imagined the Reaper/Rapper as a tall girl who could shove people around, but also grab the ball. Also, she gets to protect Kiara, which is cute. I gave her the number 84 specifically because it’s the closest way I could give her a number 4 without breaking the NFL numbers rule, because the number 4 in Japanese is synonymous with death. But most importantly, she has the Receiving TE trait.
OL - #69 Shirakami Fubuki - Balanced OL - 700 TPE
For my offensive line, I built each of them with what part of the line they’d play at in mind. They’re all pretty similar, but there are some key differences. Fubuki is much like Gura where I wanted her here but didn’t have any other place to put her. Fubuki will be our Center, with how she has the slightly higher pass blocking of the two Balanced OLs.
OL - #70 Hoshinova Moona - Balanced OL - 700 TPE
Moona was not only chosen for the same reason as Fubuki, but her build is almost identical to Fubuki, except she’s slightly moved towards run blocking. So she will be my Left Guard.
OL - #72 Ookami Mio - Athletic OL - 705 TPE
Mio is the mom friend of HoloLive, so of course she’d be in a position where she can protect everyone. She is going to be the Left Tackle, which is the blindside tackle, and will specialize in pass blocking.
OL - #75 Shiranui Flare - Athletic OL - 705 TPE
Flare doesn’t have a fun explanation for being an offensive lineman, but she is the Right Tackle and has an identical build to Mio.
OL - #73 Tsunomaki Watame - Mauler - 705 TPE
Watame is a ram, so obviously she’d be a good Mauler. Since I want to be able to swap between rushing and passing, I need a Right Guard who can specialize in run blocking.
DT - #62 Hoshimachi Suisei - Interior Rusher - 695 TPE
I like Suisei, but I forgot why I chose her to be the important defensive tackle. But the Interior Rusher is specifically important to the 3-3-5 pass-rush, which is why she has the Bull Rusher trait. She’ll still be in for the 46 Defense, since that needs two defensive tackles, but Suisei will be the key tackle.
DT - #90 Amane Kanata - All-Purpose DT - 600 TPE
Kanata’s nickname is “The Gorilla”, so I figured she’d be good in a strength-based position. The All-Purpose DT will be exactly that, coming in for the 46 Defense portions of the game.
DE - #99 Inugami Korone - Speed Rusher - 775 TPE
When putting together the team, I had a shortlist of specific positions I wanted to have the most points attached to and left end was one of those that I really wanted to be good. So, I chose one of the most popular and strongest HoloLive members to play in this position. Our good doggo also has the Speed Rusher and Competitor traits to make her better.
DE - #98 Nekomate Okayu - Speed Rusher - 600 TPE
On the other side will be Okayu, who isn’t as big as Korone, but they’re a package deal.
LB - #54 Kiryu Coco - Versatile LB - 775 TPE
Coco is one of the most aggressive members of HoloLive and she really just does her own thing a lot of the time. While I want the other two linebackers to be more focused on stopping the pass, I want Coco to be a pass-rusher or run-stopper like JJ Watt. So in the 46 Defense, she’d be the jack linebacker and in the 3-3-5, she’d just be one of the stud linebackers, likely the weak side. I also gave her the Competitor and Perceptive traits.
LB - #46 Watson Amelia - Coverage LB - 700 TPE
I decided that since Coco was a linebacker, I’d have all three of the weirder HoloLive girls be linebackers. So for the mike, I have Ame, who will be a coverage-focused linebacker like Brian Urlacher.
LB - #42 Haato Akai - Coverage LB - 600 TPE
Haachama-chama~!!! If Ame is Urlacher, then I want Haachama to be AJ Hawk on coverage. She’d be the strong-side stud on the 3-3-5 and the charley on the 46 Defense.
CB - #27 Houshou Marine - Cover Corner - 705 TPE
Since Marine would totally be all up on anyone since she’s very, you know, I decided that she should be a cornerback. I decided that one corner should be more focused on coverage while the other would be focused on run support. So Marine is the coverage one. I gave her the Shut Down Corner and Competitor traits.
CB - #20 Sakura Miko - Physical Corner - 670 TPE
Our elite cornerback is going to be much more of a tackler and focused on helping with the 46 Defense on the run. I gave her the Press Corner trait.
S - #11 Ninomae Ina’nis - Ball Hawk - 775 TPE
Ina has a lot of tentacles, so she’d obviously be a great free safety. She can grab balls anywhere in the secondary. It’s important to have a solid free safety who can control the game and have the ability to get in between the receiver and the quarterback when they need to. I gave her the Perceptive and Athlete traits.
S - #10 Shirogane Noel - Enforcer - 705 TPE
When running a 46 Defense, you need a strong tackler. So the first decision I made was to create an Enforcer safety to play in that Strong Safety role, almost like a 4th linebacker. Then, after seeing the name of the archetype, I immediately thought of the wonderful knight, Noel. She has the Box Safety, Role Model, and Competitor traits and if I go with the 46 Defense, I think she will be one of the best defenders in the league.
S - #19 Pavolia Reine - Ball Hawk - 595 TPE
Reine is a bird, so Ball Hawk is perfect for her. If I use a 3-3-5, I’d rather use the 3-3-5 with 3 safeties rather than 3 cornerbacks. I just think that it would be easier to do that and allow Noel to still push down into the box. This means that there’d still be two coverage-focused safeties up in the secondary keeping watch.
K/P - #1 Kureiji Ollie - Power - 218 TPE
I did some research on the best kickers in ISFL history since this would be the easiest thing to research in order to find good builds. I found out that there was a lot of good kickers back in the early days of the league that didn’t have too much points added onto them. So I decided that I’d take that as a hint to make Ollie a little bit underpowered in terms of points, but hopefully just as effective as someone with more points.
I think that if I were to choose the six captains on the team for each side, I’d go with:
Offense: Shishiro Botan, Takanashi Kiara, Ookami Mio
Defense: Inugami Korone, Kiryu Coco, Shirogane Noel
That’s all I have to say about my team!
Team Z-Whiz
QB: Bar none, the most important position in the game. I went nearly full maxed out here but saved some TPE by not going all the way into endurance and not purchasing all the traits. I went with gunslinger over other archetypes as I wanted to have some reckless fun. Guy LeDouche is the sideline reporter for early 2000’s Spike show MXC. I also thought it was a fitting name for a gunslinging QB.
RB: A close 2nd to most important position in the game. I spent a bit extra on my RB2 as he will act as the FB and TE in certain sets. RB1 is also near fully maxed with two traits, as these make running backs over powered, in my opinion. Runner Turbsin and Gunner Throbson are plays on my players original name Gunner Thorbjornsson. Seeing as how I’ll never be RB1, I figured I’d live vicariously through these two guys.
WR: I skimped a little on WR, but have one superstar WR in Ed Eddeneddy, and if you don’t know who he’s named after, then you had a sad childhood. He’s got all the speed needed and is the only WR with a trait (deep threat). Melon Collie-Hill is an average tier WR. I went with possession archetype on this player because he too will be lining up as TE in some sets and possession allows for more weight, strength, and blocking. Last WR is Thurman Merman, named after the loveable child character in Bad Santa. He should be a solid WR2 when
Collie-Hill is lined up at TE and a great slot WR in heavy pass sets.
TE: I put no TPE into TE as I can cover the TE positions with RB2 and WR3. I wanted to put as much TPE into starting positions and this is where I figured I could make it up. At any time in the game, the team will only ever have 5 skilled position players on the field and with 2 RBs and 3 WRs, I have cover. Having a 6th skilled position player felt like wasted TPE.
OL: I made my two tackles at 610 TPE and went with interior OL at 510. All athletic builds and all maxed speed and essentially 80 at every other attribute, except the tackles, who got 85 pass and run blocking. This is one of the spots the extra couple hundred TPE from a TE went, so I’m hoping this line will be above average. All 5 players, Weezy F Baby, Doctor Carter, Birdman Junior, Young Money, and Rapper Eater are named after Lil Wayne. Hopefully being one person acting as 5 gives them an advantage cuz they should have an innate knowledge of what the other is doing (unless they’re on too much purple drank).
[
DL: Another opportunity to save TPE was how I set up my front 7. Instead of being flexible with 3-4 and 4-3, I decided to stick with just the 3-4. I considered playing a LB out of position at DE, but then I would have to be playing one of the DT as a DE in the 4-3 as well. So, where does that leave me? I’ll have 3 interior rush DTs in Roll Fizzlebeef, Big Box O’Chili, and Dirt McGirt. These are all nicknames of legendary rapper, ODB (Old Dirty Bastard to the uninitiated). Again, maxing speed as this is the most important attribute.
LB: the two OLBs are the 2nd highest TPE players on my defense as I think it’s a very important position. The two MLBs got skimped a bit as the idea is the DTs will eat up blocks allowing easier tackles for the LBs. The naming was just a jumble on my player render Andrew van Ginkel, the man with the best hair in football. Vandrew N’Ginkel, Gandrew Ginkelvan, Ainkel Gan-Vinkel, and Ginkel van Andrew should be great at rushing the passer and stuffing the run.
CB: the most important position on defense, in my opinion, and the TPE shows it. My two highest TPE players are my CB1 and CB2. They are fully maxed (except endurance) and have all 4 traits. CB3 is only at 510, but that should be plenty for slot CB. The three names Barney Cool Breeze, Prince Delight, and Freeloading Rusty are also nicknames for ODB. The plan is to hopefully outspend other teams WRs allowing me to shutdown the passing game, which can be a bit over powered at times.
S: Spent a mediocre amount of TPE on these two players. Not as important as CB, but about the same as LB, depending on how much a team passes vs runs. Both named after Eminem. As Eriksen has proved on Arizona, 600 TPE is plenty good to be one of the best Safeties in the league. Sorry, hotdog, you’re time will come once you start regressing.
K/P: Henry Katleman is the alpha-ist of alpha’s in the kicking game. Seriously, google this man and check out his look. He ain’t no wimping, skinny kicker. This dude is yoked and has the best mustache in the NCAA. My 2nd lowest TPE player behind TE, but I was still able to get a 90 accuracy, 90 power kicker, which should be good for 99% of the situations this team finds themselves in.

Most of what I’ve done with my team is fairly ‘normal’ outside a couple key things. My QB is a Mobile QB because that still appears quite strong in the new sim. For those that don’t know it was totally busted in the old sim, and slightly less so now, because QBs get a speed boost on QB keep plays. This makes them the fastest player on the field by a wide margin. Nothing really special with the running back or fullback. I didn’t really skimp out much here because I don’t want to count on just the quarterback/passing game. Receivers are all fairly normal. Tried to save a bit of TPE down the depth chart but in ways that shouldn’t influence their performance too much. I went with a receiving TE but hopefully their attributes allow them to do some good blocking too. I’m curious to see how an abundance of good offensive options actually helps in the sim. I tried to make my offensive line as efficient as possible. I did a bit of testing here to figure out what really helps. I think they’re high strength, good intelligence, and role model traits should make them low on penalties and plenty effective in getting pancakes. They should be just fine in removing sacks too but with a mobile QB it should be fine either way. I saved a little bit on DT/DL because they don’t seem to be quite as impactful as other defensive positions. Maxed Dline would be nice but with this TPE allocation it should be more than enough to make an impact. I splurged a bit on corners. Perhaps because I am one and am quite confident in the builds. Also a bad corner will kill a team in this league where everyone probably has a maxed QB and WR. Safety builds are pretty similar to CB builds. LB builds aren’t really special either except for my 4th LB. Coverage LB gets the highest intelligence stat so I made sure to get one of those to wear the player radio on defence. Kicker is set at 90 kick accuracy/power. That should be enough to make the vast majority of kicks while making an efficient use of TPE.
Now the weird stuff. I have endurance set at 60 across the board. I’m sure most other teams will have it at 71. The 71 benchmark for endurance has always been a myth/woopsie. Hopefully by the time this is read I’ll have dropped the media piece explaining it but I want the competition to waste their TPE first.
On a similar note I have low hands attributes on all my defensive players. This comes from testing for my own build which found that hands makes nearly no difference in overall win/loss rate. It probably does something but if it doesn’t give any wins after a few thousand games, it’s not worth any TPE at all. I’ll try to get some data supporting this up in it’s own media article as well.
Team Rusfan
The philosophy behind my team? Very simple. Defense wins championships. Oh sure, it’s fun watching teams light up the scoreboard for 40+ points every week, but it’s not how many points you score, it’s how many points your opponent scores. Really if you think about it, you could win every game 2-0 on your way to a championship if your defense was good enough. And this defense should be good enough. Every member is maxed out and is what I consider to be the best archetype for their position, so we should see at the very end of this experiment just how much the sim values a good defense.
The names I came up with were very simple, the Ravens are my favorite team, and I’m very bad with coming up with names.
Now, how do I expect to win games with an offense that would struggle in the DSFL? Well, unlike my real team like the Yeti, I have no desire to yeet my team to victory. I will be setting my teams strategy to as conservative as it will allow. Ideally this means that we will win the field position battle every game, and not waste the defensive effort by giving the opposing team a free start in our territory.

QB: Exo Cortal The legendary London QB who played only a few games but dominated, Cortal comes out of retirement to play a game for this exciting team. He is a mobile QB so i am excited to see how he plays at a cap'd out capasity. And he is hoping to prove to scouts that he can play in the big leagues
RB1: Forest Gump A actual HOF player here; Gump swapped to FB and clearly has been training hard to get to this point. It has been a long time since he was RB1 and now we will be able to see how a Fullback plays as the Main Running Back. It is no secret Gump desired to play longer then he did so he is hoping his preformance will convince HO to allow him to return despite his advanced age
RB2: Mai Fukushu RB2 is a power back who did not last too long in their career; they are hoping to be able to help the run game be solid and show that they still had something left in the tank
WR: Mark Callous My WR1 is someone who was a former Birddog. legend has it he went camping and never returned. UNTIL today. Callous has been training secretly in the woods for like 5 seasons at this point and now is the dominant WR1 i always thought he would be
WR: Kai Marshal and Korbin Brown: two WRs with somewhat similar personalities. they fill out my WR core with 600 and 500 tpe respectiviley
TE: Owmy Back: I picked this player to remind everyone of Frost saying this guys name during the draft stream. Another guy who never made the big leagues, he his hoping to win a spot on a team.
OL: I did not do anything too special with the OL besides giving only one of the tackles tenacious blocking. We will see if any of these OL who retired too early in my own opinion. Including Former Birddogs Bayley Benson Jr. and Dunkin Donuts, Former NYS Bot Funky Kong Still have whats in them to really dominate the other DL
DT: Maui Waialiki I equiped this guys with the Competitor trait. After being banned from the ISFL from severe rule breaking Waialiki is only here for one more shot to show the world his talent and kinda serves as a image of wasted potential.
DT: Sheed Thebaw Another Former Birddog from S25, and a horseman, Thebaw retired surprisingly after his stellar rookie season but is back for one game and one game only to remind the league how great he was
DE: Carolinabbq Isbest Shock!?!? He is not dead?!? Isbest apperently faked his death and has reamerged for this game. Rumor has it that he was hiding from incoming Austin GM Kyle. but now that Kyle is fired Isbest can return to the world
DE: Mike Franchet: Another iconic player, Franch was super well known and was seen as a huge LR presence in his short time in the league, lets see if this guy still has it too
LB: ILoveDallas UnBanZayn: Message remains true, no idea why BBB did not resign this bot
LB: Jaylen Storm: Daybe Smells
LB: Erik Kirkland: Iconic Birddog, but also smells. This is the third Versatile LB on my squad and it will be interesting to see if they can preform well
CB: Zamir Kehla: After bumming out of the league and retiring before achieving anything, Zamir returns to try and get money as he has gone broke CB: Byron Blackwell: Amazing Dallas CB who never made it to the big leagues. I am excited to see him play at this level
S: Milk Man and Lionel Rumper: Two former Dallas S25 Safeties, both failed to make it out of the DSFL, hopefully they can show they have the tallent to one day return to the league
S: Thor Kirkby: Kirkby is back to promote his new Blacksmithing Business he has running in Philly K: Little Edd: Couldnt even make it to the DSFL probably will suck
Team TubbyTim
Offensively we will start at QB. For Qb i decided to go with a Gunslinger QB as both my WR’s are deep threat Targets. I have maxed out the QB for TPE as since its the most important position may as well dump all the TPE into it. Next for RB’s i have a 780 TPE Speed back as well as a 250 TPE Power Back. I went Speed RB because of the difference between 95 speed and 100 speed. My offense is built to go fast including my RB’s. The speed RB will be the main RB used in my OFfense. The Powerback is meant more for 3rd and short or 4th and short scenarios. Maybe line up as a TE in a heavy formation but thats mainly it. As for my WR’s i have 2 speed and 1 slot WR. The 1 WR is 1000 TPE as he will be the main deep threat WR and the 2nd is at 600 TPE. The 600 TPE WR will be a comfortable WR2 in the Offense and can feed off of the attention WR1 is getting. Next i have WR3 who will be a Slot WR who is 550 TPE. This Slot WR has maxed out hands and speed and will be a short range target. All WR’s have max speed as again, My offense goes fast. For TE we have a Vertical Threat, The TE has 880 TPE which is the 3rd highest among the offensive players. This offense is based off of the KC Chiefs offense with the Gunslinger QB and speed skill guys and a deep threat TE. The Offense wont be focusing on the run too much. For the OL, there isn’t anything special about them. I have 2 athletic, 2 Maulers and 1 Balanced. The 2 Athletic OL will be my tackles while the Maulers are my Guards and the Balanced is the Centre. All of their TPE is 550 except the Centre who is 600.
Defensively i have built a 3-4 defense that will be good with pass rushing and man coverage. I have 2 DT’s on the roster both at 300 TPE as a lower TPE DT works just as well as a higher TPE one. And since its a 3-4 instead of having 2 DE’s i made an extra DT and he will be playing DE. With a 3-4 D i wanted a big DL and an extra DT will be bigger than another DE. For LB’s i went with 4 since it is a 3-4 Defense. There are 2 maxed out pass rusher that will play ROLB and LOLB and 2 Versatile LB’s to play MLB1 and MLB2 who are both around 600 TPE each. Now my secondary, The Secondary will have 3 CB’s, 2 Cover corners who are 890 TPE each and 1 slot corner who is 520 TPE. The Safeties will both be 850 TPE Ball hawks. WIth the Cover Corner it will allow me to blitz more and keep good coverage down the field hopefully avoiding any big plays. The Safeties will be ball hawks and will hopefully force some turnovers while the CB’s are in coverage.
Team Modern_Duke
For a long time I have wanted the league to expand it's horizons. As a co-founder of the league's first European team (London), I also want our league to expand even beyond its international borders. So like so many of our ancestors before us, I look to the Moon and wonder "what if?". Despite constant outcry from the certain similarly minded league members, HO has not accepted my numerous bids for an expansion team on the Moon. That's why I wanted to take this opportunity to finally let the league experience the majesty of the Moon Knights (team name trademark in re-application process. Those fools at the patent office previously denied for it unknown reasons).
For my player names, I wanted to honor those who have preceded us. There have been 24 astronauts in history to orbit the Moon. Naturally, I have honored each of them with a player. For the 25th roster spot, I have included Deke Slayton, the Director of Flight Crew Operations for the Apollo missions.
For the actual construction of my team, the idea is simple: as we all know, defense wins championships. So I wanted to make the defense as strong as I could, despite the obvious TPE restrictions. On offense, everything flows through the quarterback. So, I put a lot of resources into my quarterback (Neil Armstrong, naturally) and left the little remaining TPE I had for the rest of the offense. Armstrong will have to carry a lot of responsibility in both the passing and running game. So to summarize: the semi-intentional model for my team is the 2010 Auburn Tigers, who won the college football national championship behind one of the best QB seasons ever (Cam Newton's Heisman season), a good-enough defense, and...basically nothing else.
The other main theme of the team is I tried to give my players as many traits as possible. Obviously this is a risky use of TPE with the limitations in place, but I wanted to see just how impactful these traits can be, especially at mid-TPE level
Team Shrub
I'll start with my team branding and player design. I went with the Presidents because I love U.S. history and figured it would be easier just name the players after former presidents than come up with names myself. Each players number corresponds to what number president they were. I also tried to match much up their positions with what they were known for. For example, everyone knows that George Washington was a general which made him a perfect choice to be my field general QB. William Howard Taft was the biggest president. O-line for you buddy. And so on.
Team colors consist of red, white, and blue because 'Murica (yes I know like 50 other countries have the same national colors I don't care). I also threw in light blue because it's just a cool color.
I decided to build my team upon two premises: to see if some rumors were true about certain attribute within the sim and to have an offensively focused team. Around the time that I was making my team people were saying that 61 endurance was the magic number. Not 71. So all of my players have it set to 61. That freed up some much needed TPE to be used on my defense, which is severely lacking since I basically dumped everything I could into offense. The other rumor that was floating around was that run blocking is essentially a useless attribute. So I didn't add any TPE into that either. Oh and I forgot to mention that I'm fully leaning into the dumb jock stereotype for my team. My players are straight athletes with limited mental capabilities. I didn't put TPE into intelligence for any player save my QB and kicker. So expect the flags to fly when The Presidents are on the field
Now for my positional breakdown: Offense QB: super slow with a cannon arm and deadly accurate. Think Rich Gannon in his prime but better. Smartest dude on the team. Game manager RB: one speed back, one power. RB by committee. Athlete and raw talent WR: 2 speed receivers as deep threats and 1 as a slot receiver. All athletes TE: possession TE as my redzone threat. Strictly a receiving TE and an athlete OL: straight up pass blockers. Had to cut that down to 95 to save teeps for my defense to not be complete garbage. No run blocking whatsoever. We'll see how that works out. Defense I basically got the attributes as high I could without going into the next level of TPE spending. Like I would stop at 80 instead of pushing to 85 so I could share the TPE better DT: fast for a big guy. Pass rushing focused. Just one DT to plug up the middle. DE: 3 DEs. One of which will play out of position as a DT. Again focusing on pass rushing LB: I chose the pass rushing archetype because speed. F speed CB: while still fast, I focused on strength fro them. Was told this is a good thing S: 3 safeties. The enforcer will be playing out of position at LB to create extra speed there. The two centerfielders will play safety
Special Teams K: basically put whatever TPE that was leftover here. Hopefully with a strong offense we won't need him much.
Tean NTG
My plan for this team builder was to put TPE into the more important positions, mostly the Offensive Line. I put over a quarter of my TPE cap into the position as my 5 Offensive lineman took up 4.4 thousand TPE of the 16,800 TPE cap. Similarly, I utilised the major positions with bonus TPE and utilised the lesser positions to balance the TPE budget. I’ll run through each position with my reasoning. For the team name, I have decided to utilise my favourite and best team from the National Rugby League, the Sydney Roosters. Their colour scheme is red, white and blue and their logo features a rooster with a comb shaped like the sails of the Sydney Opera House. The players on the team are named after their Roosters counterparts, with the exemption of the Offensive Line who are named after Bruce Buckley and are named Bruce Backley, Bruce Beckley, Bruce Bickley, Bruce Bockley and Bruce Buckley.
Quarterback: For Quarterback, I pretty much took great use of Colby Jack, I copied his archetype and build for the most part and limited myself to 1100 TPE. Using the ISFL as a guide, a quarterback is crucial for success and as a result I’ve poured extra TPE into the quarterback.
Running Back: I have decided to run 2 running backs, with 1 a starter and 1 a backup. The starter is 1000 TPE and the backup 600 TPE. The starter is a speedback and will be the primary ball carrier where the backup is a power back and will be helping for blocking plays and the occasional carry to give the starter a break during the games.
Wide Receiver: I’ve gone with 2 Wide Receiver for my team, one at 700 TPE and one at 400 TPE. They will be the Wide Receiver 2 and Wide Receiver 3 in my depth chart. The 700 TPE receiver is set up to be a decent WR2 and the 400 TPE receiver isn’t quick but has hands to make up for it which will be beneficial as a dump off route for my quarterback.
Tight End: My final skill position player has gone to the Tight End position so I’m running two in this position. The 1st TE is a vertical threat at 800 TPE who will play out wide as my primary receiver. The 2nd TE is a blocking TE who will double up as a FB in certain times and formations. The combo will be devastating on offence and lead to doubt in the defence as the offence can swap between run first or pass first at ease due to the variety of players I have in the skill positions.
Offensive Lineman: The offensive line was a position I poured a lot of resources into to help build my offence into a dominator. They will be strong at pass blocking as well as run blocking and enhance the offence further.
Defensive Line: I’ve gone for 4 defensive lineman, 2 defensive tackles and 2 defensive ends. The TPE for The 1st Defensive End is 800, the 2nd Defensive End is 400, the 1st Defensive Tackle is 800 and the 2nd Defensive Tackle is 200. I wanted one big player at each defensive line position and as a result of the cap, a lower level player at the other. All 4 of these players will be on the field as I plan to run a 4-3 defence for the majority if not all of the snaps on defence.
Linebacker: I’m running 3 linebackers with my middle linebacker being 900 TPE and my outside linebackers being 500 TPE. The mike will be one of the central figures on defence and I’m hoping for a player who will make big plays on defence as well as containers to stop plays. With all 3 expecting to be on the field, having decent TPE in there is key for the defence to succeed.
Cornerback: Running 3 cornerbacks here but I’m hoping to only see 2 of them take the field. One of them is at 1000 TPE and the other at 600 TPE. Pushing some TPE here is crucial as cornerback play is another spot where I’m seeking big plays on defence. I’m mostly pissed off at the CB1 because his build is at 999 TPE and I couldn’t find a way to sneak in 1 TPE so everything is off and it is extremely aggravating. The third string cornerback is a roster filler and will be used sparingly if never at all.
Safety: Safety was a position I’ve sacrified on with the free safety coming to 700 TPE and the strong safety at 400 TPE. My observations with the new sim have noticed safety’s importance been reduced so as a result, I’ve dropped the TPE here.
Kicker/Punter: I used my final 300 TPE to pour into my kicker and punter as it is a decent level and gives me kicker 85 kick power and 89 kick accuracy. It’s a balance between using TPE and having a decent kicker, I think I’ve found a decent middle ground so I could spread the TPE more to other positions
Team Siddhus
Honestly, I was not sure what to do for the direction of my team, but then after doing the whole team, I thought of something that could be fun. DDSPF 16 is obviously better than DDSPF 21, so going back to those days and not updating competitiveness or getting any traits could be a fun expirement to try it out. Obviously I could not have 0 Competiveness, so it is just set at the minimum for that position. But in general I tried to use as many archetypes as possible, and I went very offense based, only putting the most defensive TP inside of the cornerbacks, since they'd be the biggest obstacle to the opposing QB. Alongside the offense based, I went a little bit more passing focused rather than balanced or running focused, so I'm expecting a lot of 80s in my strats. I think I honestly built a really nice team, that once I start messing with strats should get interesting results. And the names are just all based on Honolulu players, that I switched up the name to whatever I could think of first when I thought of their name. Honestly not that creative of a person, so that was the best I could do.
Team 124715
What's the point of having a team if it isn't going to be fun, right? That was my philosophy for this event, and I'm confident I've come up with one of the wackier team makeups. On offense, my second highest TPE player is a TE (named Owmy Crippling Arthritis, suspected to be a relative of former Kansas City Coyotes TE Owmy Back). So is my third-highest! Both Crippling Arthritis and 845 TPE Luke Landflyer will man my team's WR positions, while 745 TPE Verso L'Alto (NOT) should handle the inline TE spot. That's only 3, so surely a WR will fill the slot position on plays requiring only one RB? Nope! That would make sense, which is exactly what I want to avoid. 644 TPE RB In GLIMS BANK STADIUM has an unusual power back build with high hands and agility, meant to play the slot WR when needed. On 2 back plays, GLIMS BANK STADIUM will play the FB position. And since tyrannical darkness required us to put at least one WR in our lineup, I set out a beastly 51 TPE possession receiver with a blazing 72 speed affectionately named Le 51 TPE WR Has Arrived.
Naturally with this motley crew of weapons there must be a high TPE QB to take advantage, right? Wrong! My quarterback, Four Six, in homage to Kansas City Coyotes quarterback Zero Two that was tragically found missing in the S21 offseason, is only 750 TPE and will be tasked with trying not to mess it up. The goal of this offense was to get as much blocking as I could from the WR positions and then run my RB into the ground. To this end I've set out almost 1200 TPE to my speed back Blimsothy Gankin, enough to max him out and buy all the traits. GLIMS BANK STADIUM should handle the remainder of the carries, and Crippling Arthritis and Landflyer should make a passable running game. The offensive line is solid if not fantastic, with bookend tackles PLZ PLZ PLZ GIVE and ME YOUR TEAMS at 760 and 630 TPE respectively. The interior line sucks lol
The defense is a bit similar to the offense, except the TPE allocation is a little bit more sensible than the offense. There are two 1100+ TPE maxed players - DE Pogyote Pogyote Pogyote and CB Stood On The Cliffside Screaming (who's paired with CB Give Me a Reason to complete a Taylor Swift lyric). Unlike the offense, there are more high level players - 900 TPE DE Purdue OWL for instance, who will line up near LB Noodle Tools. I made my roster while procrastinating a research paper, so, uh, yeah. There's also 985 TPE speedy LB What Kinda Name is Aicholas Nyers, who is mostly maxed but not completely. Hiddhus rounds out the LB corps at a terrifying 400 TPE. In the heart of the defense are two DTs with 395 TPE (No Edd I Won't Name) and 300 TPE (My Entire DL After You). All that just to name half of my DL after him anyways. In addition to OL Big Blockedd, there's a fourth player named after Edd on my team - CB Donte Moncrief, named after one of his favorite NFL players. Moncrief will play both the NB and LB spots for my team when needed. My safeties are Dawn Shawkins and Daniel Lavinge in a nod to Hahalua safeties Shawn Dawkins and Davriel Lavigne (no longer a safety). I opted for a 50 TPE kicker, whom I named Woefully Outmatched (BOT).
The origin of every name on the roster:
QB Four Six (750 TPE Pocket Passer) - a reference to Starboy's QB Chika Fujiwara who was created as Four Six
RB Blimsothy Gankin (1195 TPE Speed Back) - an expanded version of reoccurring Kansas City Coyotes FB Bot Blims Gank, which is in and of itself a reference to Glims Bank Stadium in which the Coyotes play.
RB In GLIMS BANK STADIUM (644 TPE Power Back) - see above
WR Le 51 TPE WR Has Arrived (51 TPE Possession WR) - I just wanted to make it abundantly clear whenever this guy catches a pass that he only has 51 TPE.
TE Owmy Crippling Arthritis (1160 TPE Vertical Threat TE) - the advanced version of Owmy Back as discussed above.
TE Luke Landflyer (845 TPE Vertical Threat TE) - a play on the name of legendary Hahalua/Hawks QB Luke Skywalker.
TE Verso L'Alto (NOT) (745 TPE Possession TE) - a play on the name of HOF TE Verso L'Alto and the (BOT) extension for bots
OL PLZ PLZ PLZ GIVE (760 TPE Balanced Lineman) - taken in conjunction with the three below, the text of a panicked announcement sent by darkness to our slacking group.
OL ME YOUR TEAMS (630 TPE Balanced Lineman) - see above
OL YOUR KILLING ME (490 TPE Balanced Lineman) - see above
OL OVER HERE (490 TPE Balanced Lineman) - see above
OL Big Blockedd (455 TPE Balanced Lineman) - a reference to when Edd posted media saying he was switching to OL and to this name.
DE Pogyote Pogyote Pogyote (1115 TPE Speed Rusher DE) - a reference to spamming the pogyote emoji three times
DE Purdue OWL (900 TPE Power Rusher DE) - a website with information about scholarly writing that I had open while finishing the roster and working on the aforementioned research paper.
DT No Edd I Won't Name (395 TPE All Purpose DT) - taken in conjunction with the one below, a promise I made and almost kept.
DT My Entire DL After You (300 TPE Interior Rusher DT) - see above
LB What Kinda Name is Aicholas Nyers (985 TPE Pass Rusher LB) - a reference to Hahalua RB Nicholas Ayers who had no scandals associated with him at all. Nope.
LB Noodle Tools (755 TPE Pass Rusher LB) - a citation website that I also had open while finishing the roster and working on the research paper.
LB Hiddhus (400 TPE Pass Rusher LB) - a reference to Honolulu mascot Hiddhus, possibly related to Siddhus.
CB Stood On The Cliffside Screaming (1195 TPE Physical Corner CB) - taken in conjunction with the one below, one of my favorite Taylor Swift lyrics from the song "hoax".
CB Give Me a Reason (650 TPE Cover Corner CB) - see above
CB Donte Moncrief (440 TPE Slot Corner CB) - a reference to Edd's favorite NFL player, ex-Steelers WR Donte Moncrief who has hands like a CB.
FS Dawn Shawkins (800 TPE Center Fielder S) - a reference to Hahalua S Shawn Dawkins
FS Daniel Lavinge (600 TPE Ball Hawk S) - a common misspelling of Hahalua CB/S Davriel Lavigne's name.
K/P Woefully Outmatched (BOT) (50 TPE Power K/P) - a reference to the fact that this player is only 50 TPE.

Team Gragg
