From the Desk of Tsuyu, written from the perspective of my player Tsuyu Asui
"I'm actually extremely happy today! I have managed to finally set up an offseason trip to Tokyo with my teammates! It will be my first trip to Japan in nearly a year and I am pretty sure it will be thier first trips ever, though I cannot confirm that. Jimi and Matt seem the most excited though Negs seemed excited to try out the food. As for what is going on in the meantime we have done a couple of charity events to raise money for many great organizations!
First thing we did was that we did a meet and greet with some excited kids. The most notable thing that happened was that one of them kept tugging on my tongue due to his curiosity but I cannot be too mad at him for that honestly. Hell I'd be pretty curious myself if I was in his position! But still it was very fun and the kids were mostly very polite. Another charity thing we decided to do was do a signing in Love park where Jimi seemed to attract some girls to him and it was pretty funny seeing how flustered he was!
There was this one guy there that had a collection of cards that he wanted signed but we only had time to do a few before the organizers shooed him away. I still think I could do a better picture for my card but I hope there is a better picture for my captain card when it eventually decides to come out. I an actually really excited to see that card and maybe it will be out when we get back home from Tokyo. Actually speaking of which, I wonder if Tokyo has Japanese ISFL cards. If so, I will absolutely go looking for some to buy!
After the first batch of charity events we decided to go get some lunch at a local Cheesesteak restaurant where I had my favorite American sandwich with my friends. CJ sometimes mentions Ckam Crowder back in Boston so maybe I should try some when I am in the area. While we ate the local sports news mentions that Jimi was going to try leave in Free Agency before canceling that. He looked embarrassed at the news but I comforted him because I understand his frustrations about our lack of success. I was considering leaving for a bit but I came back because I wanted to lead this team to greatness and only this team.
He seemed extremely happy that I did that and he must have felt relieved that I was not angry at him so I hugged him to let him know that there are no hard feelings. After lunch we headed to another charity event, this time at Taco Bell Stadium nearby. We held a skills challenge for anyone to try out and see if they could get any specific awards. One of the awards, in fact the Grand Prize, is a football signed by everyone on the team along wuth free season tickets. The person who won it in the end was a former power lifter who could run pretty fast. Man if he was not 45 years old we could ask if wants a try out. He does give me hope for keeping my athletic abilities when I get older however.
When he won the grand prize to celebrate he held me up above his head! I can only imagine he did that to prove that he could. Damn 45 years old and he seems as strong as ever! Either that or I am not as heavy as I thought. I am hoping for the latter, though I am planning on doing a long jog later either way. You know thinking about the power lifter he may have been a former player who switched to power lifting. A weight lifting competition between a younger him and All-Might back home would have been extremely interesting.
Man now that I wrote that I cannot wait to see all my friends back home again! They have all been extremely supportive of me and all my endeavors and I can't wait for them to meet all my teammates! The plane ride will be draining however though I survived plane trips to London and Yellowkinfe so I will be fine as long as I have my antacids. My stomach sometimes gets very upset when I am on planes so those pills are a godsend. That was unpleasant to discover on my first plane trip when I did not have those pills.
While I am in Tokyo I'll also visit my grandmother in her nursing home. Hopefully she remembers me as her memory isn't that good and won't be getting any better. Honestly losing all my memories is a big fear of mine so I really hope that is not able to be passed down to me or my mom! I love those memories I have of my friends and my teammates and my favorite moments in the games I go to or play in. Maybe that is why I take so many pictures of everything anywhere I go. Maybe I just want those memories to be physically with me forever.
CJ told me that I should take up professional photography so I have decided to set up some social media's to show off all the pictures I get with my phone and my cameras. I know how to print off all my photos pretty fast as well so that is good. Man now that I think about it I am approaching 4 seasons in Philadelphia. That is a lot of memories and a lot of friendships being made. I feel myself getting stronger everyday so hopefully I can take the next step soon! I just really want a 1000+ yard season in this season and maybe some more touchdowns then usual. Ether way this season is shaping up to be extremely interesting and I hope it will be both fun and fruitful!
Alright I think that is all I have for you today journal. This has been a good writing session but I have to go take some more pictures!"
And thank you for reading! It has been hard for me in the media side so honestly this has been extremely healing. I hope to see all of you on the field!
