*Horne not attending S8 NSFL Draft

Luchadores Linebacker Ben Horne will not be attending the NSFL Draft, and instead will vacation The Galapagos Islands after a stunning loss in the S7 Ultimini. Due to this, he would like to answer any potential questions from NSFL GMs before he leaves for travel.

Thoughts on your first season in the DSFL?

While I am sad we cannot hold up the Ultimini Trophy, it was a great season for the Luchadores and myself. We all made huge strides to improve this season. I had my best games in the playoffs: 45 tcks and 6 sacks in the regular season, 15 tcks and 2 sacks in the playoffs. It may be the only season this Lucha team is together and it was a great one. I also feel fully prepared to be a dominant force in the NSFL.

What are you looking for in an NSFL team?

First off, I want a solid locker room. A locker room that is both active and works together strategically to win games. Second, I want to win championships. That doesn’t necessarily mean I need a team that “wins right now” but one that is working hard towards that. I am totally okay being a building block for a team in the rebuild stage.

Have any teams reached out to you about being drafted?

I have had 4 teams reach out already, but I will keep those conversations private.

Is there a team that you want to be drafted by?

At the end of the day I am going to play my heart out for the team that drafts me, but I am not going to lie, playing with Brian Mills, Blackford Oakes, and that stacked LB core in NOLA or playing with my guy Verso L’Alto in Baltimore sounds pretty awesome. I could see myself moving to DE to play with either of those teams. I would also like to be a primary LB in a place like Colorado or Yellowknife.

How active will you be in the league moving forward?

I am and will be very active as long as this league exist. I am pretty obsessed with football to be honest. (and this is way more fun than Madden)

Any players you want to play on the same team as?

As I briefly mentioned, I would love to play with my guy Brian Mills in NOLA and Verso L’Alto in Baltimore. I would also love to play with any of the guys on the Luchadore Defense: Chad, Thad, Vance, and Omar. If someone wants to bring the Ciudad de Sack to their city, lets make it happen.

What are your long-term goals as a player?

Win Championships and do what my team needs me to do to help win. That being said, I am a power rusher, so I will continue to push my skills to getting to the QB.

Are you willing to switch positions?

Yes, but I prefer to stay on Defense. At the end of the day, if me moving positions makes the team better, I am all for it. It would be very easy for me to play DE as well as LB.

What are your plans for the offseason?

My plan is hit the weight room (aka work hard for TPE) to max our my strength and speed. I will easily be above 150 TPE before the S8 season starts.
