Here is my pick by pick analysis for the NSFL draft

#1 select Brock Landers

Really solid pick by Arizona here. Andrew Reese struggled a bit last season and now he gets some help in a high TPE active receiver in Landers. He is in the top 5 in this class in terms of TPE and is a very active player on both the forum and the discord. I didn’t have him first in my mock but he’s a very very good player and deserves this selection. Landers will slot right in as the third wide receiver and should be able to catch a bunch of passes right away and I’m excited to see what Brock can do in his first season and throughout his entire career. He is also a grader so that should help him get equipment and earn other TPE, to go along with the TPE from his fantasy skill and the money from his fantasy analysis.

#2 select Quenton Bode

Bode is another good selection by the Second Line. He earned TPE at a ridiculous rate this year and is also an active player, although that should be a given in the first round. Bode also writes media and has posted 2 sizeable articles recently with over 3000 words on each one within the last two days.The Second Line also really needed linebackers and they used their picks to get the 2 best ones available to them. Bode will be an instant starter in New Orleans and their defense is going to be stacked in a couple years as long as they maintain activities.

#3 select Johnny Slothface

Back to back linebackers go off the board here for New Orleans and both of these players are very solid, with both having potential to go #1 overall. However, I’m not sure how I feel about drafting multiple of the same position when you have 2 of the top 3 picks. Linebacker is very versatile but a linebacker unfortunately isn’t going to be able to fill offensive needs. They could’ve used a wide receiver and a QB to replace an aging Borkus Maximus but Slothface is a phenomenal player and I think he is capable of making up for the lack of offensive selection along with the rest of the Second Line defense.

#4 select Nero Alexander

I disagree with Vander Jones here, I think this is a great pick. Alexander actually has more TPE than Landers and the defensive line is at a premium, as 3 d-lineman went in the first round. The Wraiths could’ve used a runningback but they picked one up in the second round with Morgan Marshall. Nero Alexander was a bit of an under the radar prospect, at least in my limited knowledge but he’s a guy with a lot of TPE who can slot in at DT which is one of the rarest and most valuable positions. Solid pick by Yellowknife, especially in hindsight.

#5 select Chase Jensen

Chase Jensen is amazing. I’ve spent time with him in Palm Beach and he is a great leader and locker room presence. The Copperheads are getting a high TPE max earner who has GM experience. This is the guy who they’ve decided to build their franchise around and it’s a great decision. AdamS made a really smart pick here and this offense is going to be very strong if they can pick up a QB in season 16. Dick Wizardry can come in and run with Jensen as a blocker and have Jensen be the primary pass catcher. I’m excited to see Austin in season 16 when everyone has had a season to develop.

#6 select Lightsout Lewis

The Butchers decide to make their first ever draft pick a linebacker in Lightsout Lewis. He has a lot of potential to be the cornerstone of a defense. They are already getting Kazimir Oles to head the offense and now Lewis will be the guy on defense. The Butchers strongly emphasized defense in this draft as a whole and of everyone they drafted, Lewis definitely the best as of now. 273 TPE is very good to start out and he’ll definitely be ready to start once the Butchers and Copperheads begin play in season 16.

#7 select Ricardo Morris

Good pick. Solid defensive tackle here from an active recreate. The Outlaws couldn’t really have made a better pick. Defensive tackle is a need for just about every team in the NSFL and Colorado just picked up a very good one. This pick nets you a guy who is active, fills a need, and has experience in the league. What more could you possibly ask for from a first round pick. Arizona saw this guy on the board and knew the value they were getting. They traded up and now the defensive unit in Arizona is shaping up very nicely for season 15.

#8 select AJ Lattimer

This was a bit of a reach here. He has 222 TPE which is very solid but I just don’t get the purpose of drafting a player who’s not an immediate need in the first round, especially when you know going into the draft that an active guy like Leaf will be going in the third or fourth. I know Leaf can be considered a bit of a locker room cancer but he’s worth it in a late round. I think the thing that puzzles me the most about this pick however is that most of the Otters defensive line isn’t all that old. If I’m the Otters, Morgan Marshall is the best player available and he’s my pick. While I know that Orange County doesn’t like the run game, I think Marshall has the talent to make them utilize the run more. Lattimer isn’t a bad player, on any other team except the Otters this is a great pick but the Otters just don’t need the services of a defensive tackle.

#9 select Richard D’Attoria V

I don’t know about this one. The Liberty don’t really need safeties but it’s a versatile position that can slot in anywhere from linebacker to corner depending on the set. Bucky Barnes is also about to start regressing so RDAV can be his successor in Philadelphia. But right now the Liberty don’t really need defensive backs, they have 2 actives in Vander Jones and Emondov Emoji at corner and 2 very high TPE safeties. The needs of the Liberty weren’t filled and they definitely had the chance to do so. Mo Berry, Lanzer Greivous, and all of Palm Beach Penetration™ were on the board. This is a similar situation that the Otters had last pick, good player but a bad pick for the team.

#10 select Ahri Espeeyeeseetee

Ok we’re back to the good picks. In Ahri, you’re getting an active player who is earning all of the TPE that is available to him. I don’t know what more you could want. And guess what’s even better? The Sabercats actually got a player that fills a need!!!!!! Espeeyeeseetee will probably slot in as the #3 wideout on the team in season 15 and once he hits his prime he will be the #1 guy when Xavier Flash regresses. Kazimir Oles is also moving over to Chicago so now there is a replacement in town for S16 when that happens. Brock Landers and Espeeyeeseetee are very close in terms of activity and TPE so in theory Ahri has the talent to go #1 overall, making this pick a huge steal for San Antonio.

#11 select Mo Berry

This is a pretty good pick from Colorado. Berry is at 279 TPE and is active on the forum and Discord. With the size of this class, forum and discord activity seems to be a common theme throughout these first 11 picks. Mo Berry is a first round talent in my eyes, so the trade down with Arizona isn’t that much of a loss. Colorado may have had their eyes on Berry the whole time and they realized they could get him later than pick 7 and add some value. Great job by the GMs if that’s really what happened. Maybe I’m just pulling things out of my ass and I have no idea what I’m talking about. Somebody tag the GMs and they can say if I’m right.

#12 select Fatih Terim

Yet another good pick here from Baltimore. Fatih is an active guy who was always getting his updates in.Terim didn’t have a lot of money throughout the season so he was at a similar TPE to a lot of the players that went before him, just without having equipment. I believe that terim can afford his equipment now, as he’s doing graphics and a presser. The biggest element of this pick however, is his innovative programming. He’s made a much better TPE tracker than the previous one already and he’s working on something to grade twitter faster. This is a really good pick for Baltimore and Terim deserves this selection.


#13 select Forrest Gump

I have nothing against Gump, I actually really like him, but why don’t you go with Morgan Marshall here. Outside of TPE, these players are very similar. But Marshall has almost 30 more TPE. I would just like to see the thought process behind this pick. Gump is a good player and should’ve gone in the second round, possibly even at pick 14, but Morgan Marshall is going to contribute more right away when both of them are earning just about max TPE. Forrest Gump must have really blown away the Second Line in his interviews to have them take him over Marshall.

#14 select Morgan Marshall

See guys, it’s not that difficult. Best Player Available. The Wraiths had a really strong draft and they got a couple steals(see: Ryan Leaf Jr.) and Morgan Marshall was no exception. They picked up an early first round talent in the middle of the second round. If that’s not value then I have no idea what value is. This is one of the best picks of the draft so far. He has the same amount of TPE as the #1 overall pick and some people had him mocked very close to there, as high up as pick #2. A+ pick here from Yellowknife in my opinion and Marshall will be one of the league’s best runningbacks within 4 seasons. <<Quote Me

#15 select Rod Tidwell

The Copperheads are going very offense heavy so far. They are yet to add a defensive player to the roster but the guys they do have are very good. Tidwell will add another layer to the offense and open up the field. In the locker room, Tidwell shows a strong commitment to his character. He is constantly talking about the kwan. Rod Tidwell has very much of the kwan. He is active on the forums and has earned a boatload of TPE in his relatively short time in the league. If his pace of earning TPE continues this pick would be absolutely phenomenal for the Austin Copperheads, as they’re going to get a guy who is an instant threat to opposing defenses who have less kwan than him.

#16 select Xerxes Ridley

Whenever I talk about Xerxes Ridley, I always have to talk about how good of a writer he is. When he first came into the league he wrote a story about his journey to the league and it was phenomenal. One of the best parts of being a good writer in this league is the money it will earn you. Ridley will be making quite a bit of it to go along with his 288 TPE. This is another guy with first round talent and it was a pretty solid pick by the Butchers, who have gone defense on both of their first two picks. I personally like what they’re doing more than what Austin is but that’s just my opinion.

#17 select Walt Green

The second safety goes off the board. After an amazing DSFL season where he was a contender for several end of season awards, Green goes to Baltimore in the second round. I believe that he is around 280 TPE which is first round caliber. Walt Green may have been the best safety in this very strong safety class and he goes to a team that is coming of a playoff disappointment. He will be a send down this season but when he comes back up he should be ready to make an impact in the secondary for Baltimore, who I believe doesn’t have an active safety as of right now.

#18 select Lanzer Greivous

Really good pick as Greivous was rated as one of the top linebackers in this class and he is the fifth one to go off the board. He should be able to make an impact in the Orange County defense because there’s only two linebackers there who have more TPE than he does, so he should get playing time right away. The defense, which was already second best in points allowed, should be getting a boost next season from the young guys they added. As if the Otters needed to get better. This is a great pick for Orange County and maybe they will win another Ultimus in season 15.

#19 select Emondov Emoji

The Liberty have to take their GM here but it’s no problem because he’s one of the best players in this class. Emoji may have been a top 3 pick if he wasn’t a GM. The Liberty don’t really need secondary members, as I talked about with RDA5, but Emoji is going to still be an instant contributor on the field. As far as picks that you’re forced to make go, this is far from the worst player you could get. Emoji also has $92,000,000 stored in the bank. I can’t really evaluate this pick very well because there was no choice to be made, but Emoji as a player is very good and the Liberty should be happy to get a future star.

#20 select Cameron Olsen

In my mock draft I actually had Olsen going to the Sabercats in the first round. Getting him here is a bit of a steal, he’s already at 270 TPE. San Jose also desperately needed a tight end, so if Olsen was off the board I could see them maybe reaching a little bit for Dan Wright or another 200+ TPE guy. Olsen has a league job and is a GM in the DSFL so there’s a bit of extra assurance that he will remain an active player and keep earning for you. San Jose is coming of their first ultimus victory and now they get a boost to an already solid offense. Joliet Christ is coming off a season where he won the offensive player of the year award and now he gets another really goo target to throw to. Excellent selection here by the Sabercats.

If I remember correctly from the other draft reaction thread, NOLA wasn’t really looking at all for a RB in the first place (which makes sense, given that they have a young, active, and established starter in Tyler Swift). They picked Gump because they were incredibly impressed by him during their interviews and wanted a DSFL co-GM and locker presence for the Second Line, and they believed that he wouldn’t be there by the time they picked again. Gump’ll do great as the backup for the Second Line and I hope we can continue a good rivalry for years to come (although, being biased, I’d like myself to win lol)

Also you stated earlier under the Nero pick that the Wraiths would later pick up a running back by the name of Forrest Gump. Now that’s just insulting.

Yeah very much what Enfy said. Was just blown away by the interviews with him and had great conversations with him. He impressed me more every time we talked. I think either RB would have been a great pick and I think they will be very similar all career long. Will be interesting to look back to one day to compare. But we are happy with the pick we made.

As part of Colorado (but not a GM), I can confirm, Colorado had their eyes on a few guys for the #7 pick. Mo Berry was up at the top of the list. They knew it was likely he could fall to them. With the depth of the class, we would have been happy with any of the guys on our list at #11.

Can confirm. I was honestly afraid that the Otters were gonna take him at 8, but I was happy to get any of the other guys on our big board. But Berry was our #1.
