The Outlaws had a less than average season, grabbing a 6-8 record in the ASFC, and finishing the third in the ASFC. The Outlaws had average performance from their starting QB and their leading rusher but lagged behind in every other stat to help them not fall behind. Their leading receiver only amassed 933 receiving yards which was the second lowest in the entire NSFL. They also were second worst in both rushing and passing defense and the poor defense showed up in a lot of the Outlaws’ games. To aid these issues, drafting solid defensive players to generate a shutdown defense can help turn the Outlaws to the positive side of a .500 record.

With winning the Ultimus, it doesn’t really seem like Baltimore really even need a lot of positions filled in the draft. The Hawks practically dominated each team they played and had beyond impressive stats in the regular season. Their QB had the most passing yards (4328), their RB had the most rushing yards (1577), but their leading receiver was fifth in receiving yards amongst other receiving leaders (1136). The Hawks defense had the third best passing and rushing defense, so they don’t have any defensive needs. The Hawks are beyond talented and they don’t need much in the way of draft needs.

One of the two teams to only get two wins, the Yeti have plenty of needs on both sides of the ball in order to get more wins and surprise people. Colorado does not have a single player or defensive stat that gets in the top half of the NSFL. However, getting some playmakers on offense and defense will help them start getting into the top half of the NSFL. It may take more than one season, but with more players becoming available, Colorado may not have to wait too long.

This is the other team that went 2-12 that can use help in a lot of positions. The Second Line’s problems are a bit more apparent though with their QB having the lowest passing yards by any other leading QB by 275 passing yards. Their defense didn’t provide any favors either, allowing a league worst 308.2 passing yards per game. Their rushing defense was toward the bottom as well, but a passing defense that bad needs to be addressed.

Another team that really isn’t desperate with positions that need to be filled, the Otters remained fairly consistent throughout the season. It would take a clutch defense to shed off some of their losses with how great the Orange County passing attack is. In order to get to the next level, the Otters will need a little help on defense to get where they need to be.

The Liberty and the Otters share a similar need with having 8-6 seasons. They aren’t far behind in talent, just a little help on defense and offense will get the Liberty to the playoffs. Not much to write for the Liberty that can’t be copied from the Otters’ write up.

The SaberCats had an amazing defense and solid passing but fell behind by a far margin in their rushing attack. The leading rusher for San Jose only managed to get 772 rushing yards. Some might point to a passing attack taking away from the yards, but not having a solid big game runner can make the difference in most games. Especially when there is an Ultimus on the line.

Yellowknife had the perfect .500 season with going 7-7 and only blowing out one team besides the Yeti and Second Line. Most of the games for this team were in close games, or in blowouts where they were the victims. The Wraiths need help on offense to start turning the close games into blowouts and to start getting more competitive throughout the season against the top opponents

Both of the expansion teams have had a shot at getting together a team from the expansion draft, but some positions remained unfilled by players that could get filled in the upcoming draft. Both teams need a proper QB at the helm of the team in order to lead them to a successful beginning and an offensive line to help protect that leader. However, the Copperheads will need to grab some secondary offensive weapons as well in order to take the spotlight from Chicago as the better expansion team in S16. There is no telling if these unfilled spots are necessarily needs, but there's only one way to find out and that is to see the two teams play.
