6) Expansion
What I would do if I was in charge of an expansion team would depend on whether it was for an NSFL team or a DSFL team. If it was for an NSFL team, my focus would not be to try to win quickly, but to build a strong base so that several seasons from now our team would be a force to be reckoned with. What that means is a lot of young, active players that may not be ready to compete in the NSFL, but they will be active enough to build the TPE necessary to become stars in a few seasons. Having low expectations among the players first and foremost will improve morale as each season the team performs better until the team can consistently make the Ultimus championship game. I would also bring in aging vets that are building up for their next player, because those are the people that can give the young guys advice about builds. If I was in charge of a DSFL team, activity is first and foremost. I would care less about winning the Ultimini, but become the place that the NSFL teams go to when they want quality people. That means TPE assistance, captains that check to make sure the players are active and doing their tasks, improving their players in the right ways, etc. I would want to be so good at raising quality players that I need to restock with new people every season because all of the current players are called up to the NSFL right away. 10) Reform I see a lot of good bones in how the league operates. There are two leagues so that new players without much TPE still have a chance to play and prove themselves. There are systems in place to improve player abilities that are not tied to performance (to avoid the “rich getting richer” phenomenon). There is natural skill degradation so that old vets can’t become gods after 20 seasons. However, the biggest issue I see is with how updates and grading are done. The reason I have an issue with it is because it is not scalable. If the league were to double in size next season the league infrastructure is not very equipped to handle it. There is potential to automate a lot of that effort. What the league needs is a public database. The database would allow players to input updates directly into a queue ready to be verified by the graders. Graders would not need to go team by team, player by player to make updates. Instead, there would just be a long list of updates that can be verified as meticulously as desired. Then once someone is graded, it is submitted to the updaters that will update the player’s stats in the system. The big advantage to this is you can separate the graders from the updaters. If the head office doesn’t trust giving the updating keys to many individuals, that’s fine, their only job is to update the game. You can have a lot more graders without access to the game because apart from verifying what players submit, they have no additional power to potentially abuse. 20) Ultimus Ad The general premise of the ad is to get fans excited for the next Kansas City Coyote season in S21. It will start with normal highlights from S20: a sack by Chip Otle, a field goal by Lefty Louis, etc. But as the commercial progresses the Kansas City players are slowly replaced by actual Coyotes. Now instead of a touchdown by Red Arrow, it’s a ball being caught by a coyote in the end zone. A hard hit from Douglas Quaid is now a coyote pouncing and ripping the poor ball carrier to pieces before a blood soaked snarl looks at the camera. This is where the commercial takes a turn. Fans are no longer watching a football game, it is now a gladiator arena where helpless people are mauled by coyotes. A coyote escapes into the auditorium and the fans run screaming in fear. The coyotes have escaped. You cut to scene after scene where coyotes are hunting and eating as many people as they can in the streets, none are spared. All around you see animals coming to the city, curious about all the commotion that they are hearing. They walk through the streets where people walk no more, drawn towards the stadium in the middle of the city. As the animals take their seats the pack of coyotes are sitting in the middle, staring up at the crowd of animals. The coyotes are wearing the purple uniforms of Kansas City. The screen fades to black and blood red letters display on the screen: “This is our sport now”.
3) Revenge
Written: Write 200 words about a team you’d like to get revenge on next season and why. Did they knock you out of the playoffs? Blow you out? This is quite simple, I would like to get revenge on the Austin Copperheads. I don't know how any Wraith could choose any other team for this task. The Copperheads were on our turf, in our 3rd Ultimus appearance in 5 seasons, and they beat us even though we had about a 70% win chance (I retested it after the game). This is the third time we've lost a home Ultimus with a win advantage and I am really getting tired of it man. So yeah, Copperheads we're coming back for you next season because The North Remembers and we aren't quick to forgive. Sure we lost a few important pieces but we had a pretty good free agncy and scored a great wide receiver to replace our recently retired one. Then we need our defense to add a few select pieces and hopefully find a kicker that can actually score a field goal and we might have a shot at winning next season, but I want revenge dude, I want to knock them out. But I don't want to knock them out in the Ultimus. I want to knock them out of the playoffs entirely with us beating them in week 13. In their house preferably. 4) Rivalry Written: Which team or player would you consider to be your greatest rival? Write 200 words on why you are rivals with them and why you want them to lose (don’t harass other users please). After everything I just wrote you'd think you know what my answer is going to be but you're dead wrong. Our biggest rival is the Otters. Why the otters? Well first of all I played for the Otters for 12 seasons on my old player and I won 4 championships with them. Now I just wanted to win one or two and create a new legacy somewhere else, but they've prevented me from doing that. They had to go and beat us in the Ultimus twice, on our turf no less. This is just downright unacceptable and yeah they're rivals for that. Further consider that to be a rival of the Otters who are easily the top team in the history of tthe league you have to be a good team as well. And in the past 5 seasons we have been exactly that, we have the highest regular season win % of all teams in the last 5 seasons. That makes us worthy of rivaling the team that just can't help but win football games in the postseason, I really wish we could do the same though. It would be great to win the Ultimus next season and do so while facing my old team orange county and redeem these last few seasons we've had in Yellowknife where we have failed to put it all together. 6) Expansion Written: There have been a lot of new players entering the league recently. If you were in charge of a new expansion team for the NSFL or DSFL, how would you go about it? Okay if I was going to make an expansion team the first thing I would have to do would be to come up with some sweet branding. For that I would opt for the old Charleston Ironclads. I think this is a super interesting branding in a new location that most sim leagues don't use. Ironclad is an awesome football brand, hell gridiron is the name of the field. For the colors we have too many teams with actual colors, I want to be a grey or gunmetal team. Grey and black. Like the Raiders. This would be great at helping differentiate our team in the sim and in the graphics department. Next I would need to build a team around this brand. I would retire myself and either find a fresh recreate at QB who I trust or I'd have to make a QB myself. Either way we need a QB. Next I'd go heavy on drafting certain positions highly, namely cornerback and wide receiver. Beyond that I'd try to fill in some positions by trading for high TPE inactives but really focus on only a couple of elite superstars and use the rest of the middling positions to fill it all in. I'd hope to build a culture that can attract free agents as well and get some free talent. 9) Brotherly Love Written: We always talk about what teams and players are our rivals. This season, give me what team or player you have a soft spot for. Man I really want to see the Yeti win something. 3 out of 4 expansion teams have won the Ultimus and the Yeti who have been here since season 1 have yet to do so. They had some really awesome teams at some point but due to timing being unfortunate with when other teams peaked or when expansions happened or when important players went IA they just never seemed to peak hard enough or at the right moment. And now the Yeti are pretty good again but still just can't quite push themselves to number 1. Let's see the Yeti go out and win one once so that we can hopefully stop making yeti jokes. Poor infinite probably cries himself to sleep every night wishing that the Yeti could become something better than the laughing stock of the league for 20 seasons. So if the Wraiths don't win it all next season I wouldn't mind to see the Yeti win, but that would also mean that the Yeti knocked us out of the playoffs (maybe) and I don't know how I feel about that. Either way, go get em yeti dudes, go out there and win one for TheMemeMaestro and for Nick Pierno and all those other legends. ![]() Hank Winchester (S25 - Current) - Scrub

6) Expansion Written: There have been a lot of new players entering the league recently. If you were in charge of a new expansion team for the NSFL or DSFL, how would you go about it? As a Canadian-Scottish guy, I want to go international with an expansion team. That said, we have an NSFL team in Canada and a DSFL team in Britain with the expansion of the DSFL to include the London Royals. So, with my expansion team we’re going to one of my favourite places in the world, and creating the Bermuda Onions. Think of the away games for other teams. Why do people like going to the pro bowl? Because they get to go on vacation somewhere like Hawaii. We’ll be replicating that experience for every team in the league every season. With the beautiful sandy beaches and clean ocean air, everyone will feel nice and relaxed at all times, ready to play their best football. You may be asking, Tom, what about hurricanes? Wouldn’t they pose a threat to games every season and to travel plans for the team? To that I say maybe. Plans for a hurricane proof stadium will be in the works. As for fans, people in Bermuda love outdoor sports. While football might not be traditional there, with a team to rally around, people will be on board no problem. As for the branding, that is non-negotiable as the Bermuda onion is traditional to the island and I will not hear another word on the subject. 10) Reform Written: If you were in charge of managing the league, what changes would you make to make it better run? We all know what the real problem with the league is. At the end of the day, the issue at the core of everything else is the sim. The sim and its rules which seem to change day by other than “OCO is always good”. If I reformed the league, we’d have a sim that makes sense. No more tackles on the 1-yard line on kick returns, no more delay of game penalties for RBs, no more chop block penalties on a running back on plays where they’re carrying the ball, none of it. Now, this isn’t feasible. There are a lot of different reasons we use DDSPF 16 and I understand that. But I don’t run the league. So, this does not have to be realistic. I want a sim that doesn’t roll a series of dice while drunk someone’s basement to determine what happens on any given play. Upsets are fine, I like upsets. I do not like Darius Rush going Super Saiyan against Tijuana for no foreseeable reason. And that isn’t a one off. Sometimes the things this sim does make absolutely no sense. Sometimes a defender lines up well offside and just stands completely still all play. Don’t even get me, or better yet Infinite, started on kicking and punting. A sim that is more enjoyable to watch would make everyone a little happier. 19) OL or K/P Appreciation Written: Write about an active human offensive lineman or special teamer that is in the playoffs, and how they will or did affect the outcome. I love this section of Ultimus week since it lets me give out some fair rubs, and this season I get to talk abou the man himself, Givussafare Rubbe. Rubbe switched positions on the line with fellow lineman Brave Ulysses this offseason, moving from right tackle to left tackle. From that spot all season he was dominant, allowing 0 sacks and having the most pancakes of anyone who didn’t allow a sack this season with 63. And in the first round of the playoffs, he put on an absolute clinic. Not only did he not allow a sack, as a matter of fact OCO was unable to get a sack or a tackle for loss during that game at all, but he put up a staggering 10 pancake blocks during this impressive performance. He lead the way for the running game which put up 167 yards against Orange County, including making enough space for Forrest Gump to put up a very impressive 5.8 yards per carry. The pocket was kept clean for Stan Francisco, who had 44 drop backs despite not taking a single sack. He kept his nose clean as well. Even though he planted defenders on the ground 10 times and certainly riled them up, he never took a penalty. Rubbe is a massive reason why NOLA was able to make it past OCO and prevent them from making the conference championship game for the first time in league history. ![]() [OPTION]===========================================

Tree Gelbman - Ultimus Tasks
5) Armchair GM (307 Words) If I was the Kansas City Coyotes general manager, I’d have several steps I’d want to do to improve the team going forward. Beginning with the most important thing; the draft. Kansas City features to lose several key names from both sides of the ball on offense and defense which will hurt the team drastically. Beginning on the offensive side of the ball, the team will need to address wide receiver heavily. Two of the top receivers, Red Arrow and Chris Kross, are both expected to leave for the NSFL after their draft tomorrow, and as a result the position will have to be filled. The team should spend at least two upper end picks on the position to grab people to try and replicate the production. While not as pressing of a need on offense, the team should also look to address the tight end position as well. Tree Gelbman will potentially make the jump to the NSFL next year, and if so will create a vacuum at the position, but it is not as pressing of a need as the tight end is not as heavily utilized in the DSFL leagues. The defensive side of the ball will be what makes or breaks the draft. Kansas City is projected to lose several key players, mostly notably on the defensive line and in the linebacker position as well. The first pick of the draft should be a defensive lineman or a linebacker based on which position offers more value at the time of the pick, but the secondary is also a concern. While not many names are seriously considered for the draft, the secondary is very suspect and will greatly benefit from an amazing cornerback or safety. The draft will be huge for turning the Coyotes into contenders, and I trust the management to do so. 6) Expansion (239 Words) If I was in charge of a new expansion team, the first step would be a simple but effective one; find a location that would draw fans out in droves to see the teams. My place for this would be Long Island, NY. The island has many sports on it that are at high professional levels, save for football. The community would accept a professional team without hesitation. The next question would be “What do we name the team?” and the answer to that is simple; the Dragons. Dragons are awesome and the uniforms would be a nice black and red to represent the power and passion that our team would bring. Attendance will never be a problem, as Long Island people are always looking for something to do, and what better way to spend an evening with some football and then having a short commute back home after? The next issue would be how to tackle the draft as an expansion team, since you have literally zero players on your roster. The first move is to draft one of two positions, the quarterback or the middle linebacker. The middle linebacker is the quarterback of the defense and the quarterback is well, the quarterback of the offense. Investing a top tier pick in that position would guarantee results and more results equals more people coming out to the games and building a thriving franchise as part of the community. 7) Next Year (220 Words) The Kansas City Coyotes are a team that surprised everyone, as before this last season we were merely a team of bots. This changed with the core group of guys and gals that would make up our dynamic offense and carry the team to the playoffs where we would ultimately fall short. This season was important as it showed the league that Kansas City was back, and that we’re here to stay. The team has several bright spots on it, beginning with the community. The team gets along amazingly with each other and offer each other support and advice about both matters on and off of the field. In addition to just locker room chemistry, the team has several amazing playmakers that will be featured to return to the team in some capacity that kept the offense driving. While players like Rando Calrissian and Chris Kross will have moved onto the NSFL, players like Tree Gelbman, Andrew Nova and Zero Two will stick around and keep the offense charging forward. While the defense is expected to take a hit with several key players leaving in the draft, the team still has a ton of potential thanks to amazing drafting and overall functionality. The Coyotes took the season by storm, and we look to do so going forward in the future. 9) Brotherly Love (212 Words) When you think of the NSFL, you think of rivalries. You think of exchanging blows on the gridiron and engaging in combat to win a game of football. But there’s so much more than that, there’s a brotherhood that forms on the field. There’s one player I specifically want to talk about; Leon McDavid. Leon and I both joined the league at approximately the same time and we latched on together as friends. A mutual bond shared between tight ends, playing the grittiest position and the position with the least sexy stat lines, and we both said sign us up. The trenches were muddy, the ice baths were plentiful, but we always had each other. My journey wasn’t the easiest to the NSFL. There were many bumps and bruises along the way on the training field and off of it, and Leon was always there to hold my hand and help guide me along the right way. He had no obligation to, I played for a rival team at the same position competing for the same draft spots, but he helped me anyway. And for that, I’m thankful. And that is why Leon McDavid is someone I love like a brother, because they’ve treated me like family every step of the way. "You relieve the same day over and over again, you kind of start to see who you really are."

11) Playoffs MVP
Written: Wrote about a heroic performance on the field by any player this playoff season. Why do they deserve to be called the MVP of the playoffs? Easton Cole deserved to get playoff MVP honors for this playoffs because he led the Austin Copperheads. He led the Copperheads to their first ever title which was huge, but also he was the catalyst in the locker room. Cole led the team with a vigor that was unmatched by any other player. Let's not even look at the Ultimus for a second and see how he led the offensive charge in the first two games of the playoffs. Many counted Austin out of these games, but the amazing play by Cole was to mighty to stop. If you look at just the finals you see the real brilliance of Cole. He was able to go 21/31 for a total of 322 yards and 4 touchdowns. This was an absolute show of force and dominance. Also, combined with the fact that he ran for another 71 yards as a quarterback is unheard of in this league. Easton Cole deserves more respect around the league for how good he is and what a leader he is for the Ulitmus Trophy winning Austin Copperheads. Austin with Cole at the helm will not slow down next year, no we will only get stronger, so watch out National Football Simulation League, Austin is here to stay. 16) Dynasty Written: Convince us that your team will be the next NSFL or DSFL dynasty. The Austin Copperheads will be the next National Simulation Football League dynasty becuase we care. We care about eachother we care about how we are doing and we aren't selfish. People have been so down on Austin since our creation and it really has not been fair. Now we are here and ready to win and we are not going to go away. That is going to bother people, but we really don't care. We have drafted for a culture, for a locker room, for a team, and that is what we are. We are a team through and through. We care for each other and we work and do tasks to help eachother out. I would have retired and left the league long ago if it wasn't for Austin. This is why I truly believe that we will be the next dynasty in the league. You can't stop us, you can't contain us, Austin is here to stay and we are happy to be the thorn in the leagues side. Just wait for the natural order, we will win and keep winning and the league will just have to deal with it. The Austin Copperheads are a dynasty in the making and nobody can tell me differently. 9) OL or K/P Appreciation Written: Write about an active human offensive lineman or special teamer that is in the playoffs, and how they will or did affect the outcome. Really can we can seriously talk about this for a minute. We are going to discuss who was the best or has ever been the best at special teams and the kicker is a side thought, not even the main thing. Let me tell you something that pisses me off. Alfredo Crisco is one of the best players to play in the National Football Simulation League, let alone one of the best kickers. This is hilarious that it is a prompt because Alfredo Crisco set a record as a kicker this season and was also in the top 3 all time for a record as a punter. The dude is all world and is worth a lot more praise than he gets. All because he is a lowly kicker, but you know what. He helped to carry Austin to a title, which yeah I know there were a lot of factors but how many teams can say that they love their kicker. Alfredo Crisco was a bit part of our locker room and a big part of our team and we loved him for it. We celebrated like we did when we won, when he got the field goal record. We wanted to win and he allowed us so many times to do that. 20) Ultimus Ad Written: You and your teammates are to appear in a famous ad to be aired during the Ultimus. What is it about? So we just won the Ulitmus Trophy for the first time ever in Austin but definitely not the last time. What do we do? Well, I am really glad you asked that because it is very simple, we are going on the radio and the television. We are going to promote our team and our trophy. How are we going to do that, well it's funny you ask because we love barbecue, so what we are going to do is promote a local BBQ place. Because we are Texans and BBQ is life, we have decided as a team to go on a local talk show and promote a local BBQ joint. Fuck, the famous thing, we want to be locally known as that has always been the Austin way. Franklin's BBQ approached the team and we all agreed to be in their nationwide ad. Which was perfect for the team and perfect for the city. We got to promote our city and promote our team without going beyond our means. So we all lined up for a fun ad. It ended up being Cole on the smoker, Tidwell aloof, Mendoca checking to make sure everything was alright, Law not giving a shit, and Larson being the mom of the group.
[ and Welcome to Ultimus Week in the NSFL Season 19! You will have ten days to complete the Ultimus Week point task so the deadline will be February 27th, 2020 at 11:59PM PST.
CHOOSE 4 TASKS, EACH WILL BE REWARDED 2.5 TPE FOR COMPLETION FOR A MAXIMUM OF 10 TPE Rules: 1) Written tasks must be at least 200 words (No exceptions and no partial credit, not that hard to get to 200 words). 2) You can do any option for any task, they can be a mix, but please only do each task once. 3) Only submit one post in this thread. 4) Graphics must be more than text on an image, it is Ultimus week, show Ultimus effort. It is up to graders discretion to give credit, so don’t give us a reason to deny you TPE 5) We are again keeping the podcast option for topics. Please stay on topic for the task and make sure to include 5 minutes of talk on the task you are working with. Podcast options can be used in place of ANY of the Written options. We will be timing you and pause the timer when you get too far off topic. 6) As it is too hard and complicated to time the podcast for media money and task credit, if you do a podcast it can only be for Ultimus week. Do a separate podcast if you want media credit. 7) You may use a PBE, SHL, and GOMHL PT as credit for a maximum of 1 tasks here. 8) Affiliate PT must be from this week, 2/17 - 2/23, to get credit. 9) Affiliate PT must be the actual task, but not a link for welfare credit. 10) These tasks can be written about the NSFL or DSFL playoffs (With a few exceptions). 1) Playoff Predictions, Reviews: Written: Give a short write up of one or multiple playoff matches. If completed before the airing of the sims, give your predictions; if it is afterwards, give a review of the game. Graphic: Make a graphic displaying the matchups in the playoffs. If completed before sim, predict scores and show stats; if after, give a summary of game showing stats and top performers. 2) League Milestone Written: This year is the 20th playoff season of the NSFL. In your opinion, what was the most thrilling playoff game of these past years? Give a review of that game and why you consider it to be great. Graphics: Create a graphic depicting the major stats and performances of your chosen game. Austin winning the Ultimus game of course. Austin are the single greatest team in NSFL history and its not even close. From beginning to end and right out of the gate, austin established themselves as the dominant team in this years Ultimus. Whether it was the consistency of Crisco banging either a field goal or a long dick bomb punt , Cole being shifty and throwing pick sixes or the Austin god tier defense bailing everybody out again. This years game had fun for all the family. Sadly for Yellowknife fans they never really got their offense going as it just continued to stall out on every drive no matter what they ended up doing. I truly believe that the Yellowknife wraiths are legitimately cursed when it comes to winning a championship. Despite their absolute dominance when it comes to the regular season, when the Ultimus eventuslly rolls around they just cant get it together. Truth be told the game was really over by about the midway mark, on the ground they couldn't really get any level of movement and when Okura was vulturing like he normally does, neither could their air game, Yellowknife was boned. Unlucky one fellas, better luck in next year's game 3) Revenge Written: Write 200 words about a team you’d like to get revenge on next season and why. Did they knock you out of the playoffs? Blow you out? Graphic: Create a graphic on why the stats back up that you’ll beat them next time. 4) Rivalry Written: Which team or player would you consider to be your greatest rival? Write 200 words on why you are rivals with them and why you want them to lose (don’t harass other users please). Graphic: Show the comparison between you and your rival team/player. 5) Armchair GM Written: What moves could your team make to improve for the next year, be it in free agency, keeping players, the draft, etc. (Please be careful to avoid tampering.) Graphic: Show us a step by step plan for future improvement. 6) Expansion Written: There have been a lot of new players entering the league recently. If you were in charge of a new expansion team for the NSFL or DSFL, how would you go about it? Graphics: Create a design for your new team. 7) Next Year Written: If your team didn’t win the title this year, why do you believe they can win the next year (or the year after that)? Graphics: Create a graphic showing the improvements your team could make to win in the future. 8) Scouting Report Written: Write a scouting report for one of the incoming draftees in either the NSFL or DSFL. Graphics: Create a graphic showing their stats or attributes. I think He hate me is in this draft class and truth be told the guy is a mong, I'm unsure of if his player is like this but for argument's sake he seems the type. Now we had a guy similar to this a couple of seasons ago but granted instead he played on the offensive side of the ball at wide receiver , yes folks I'm talking about the man who committed online blackface, none other than sweet motherfucking Jones. Now you see where jones went wrong was that literally everybody knew it was a character, and so did he at the beginning. But after a decent chunk of time things began to change or rather, some things didn't. He eventually couldn't seperate his on field bellend attitude from his actual personality. I guess what I'm getting at here is that he hate mes on field issues pale in comparison to his off field antics because generally he acts like a knob head and nobody really knows if he's joking around. Teams are hesitant to pick him up because of this because it limits their leverage in free agency when you've got s monumental cockwomble on your team like him. In short, his on field ability is fantastic but Jesus fucking Christ is there something concerning about his Antonio brown level braindeadness off the field. 9) Brotherly Love Written: We always talk about what teams and players are our rivals. This season, give me what team or player you have a soft spot for. 10) Reform Written: If you were in charge of managing the league, what changes would you make to make it better run? For a start I would abolish this shitty fucking Ultimus week that offers no purpose to new or old players beyond being a word dump that every user blows their load into for ten shitty TPE. Secondly I would encourage owners of various teams to should they have a straight ripped logo that might cause us problems in the future, to change and rebrand to have original works. From this we could go the route of creating custom merchandise, like your hats, shirts hoodies whatever, since we would own the branding we would be Gucci. From there we can offer merchandise to users who donate out right and allow them to build up credit, the league would benefit from this by using the remainder of the funds to get the site off jcink and onto any other reliable form of hosting such as Invision or maybe. Thirdly, do not fuck up the league by forcing a four team expansion. You will spread everybody far too thin roster wise along with the fact that we don't have eight competent general managers to run the four teams. Stick with two and the following season if need be, expand again beyond it. Finally I would ask to not go the route of cringing a cringe kid CoC like the PBE has where jokes are banned. We already have it in place where verbal attacks that cross the line are punished, don't fuck up our league further by enforcing some PG ass bullshit just for the sake of protecting the leagues oddest people. 11) Playoffs MVP Written: Wrote about a heroic performance on the field by any player this playoff season. Why do they deserve to be called the MVP of the playoffs? Graphic: Create a graphic for said player showing their stats in the playoffs. 12) Interview a Star Written: Interview a player who is in either of the league’s playoffs this year. You must ask at least four questions, at least three of which must relate to the league. YOU MUST POST THE QUESTIONS AND THEIR ANSWERS FOR CREDIT. 13) Get Interviewed by a Fan Written: Answer questions for an interview from a fan. You must answer at least four questions and at least three must relate to the league in some way. Link to the interviewer’s PT to receive credit. NOTE: THEY MUST POST THE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FOR YOU TO GET CREDIT. 14) Hoisting The Trophy Writen: no written option Graphic: Create a graphic of your player hoisting the trophy! 15) Superstardom Written: No written option Graphic: Create a billboard, magazine cover, or video game cover depicting a superstar of the league. 16) Dynasty Written: Convince us that your team will be the next NSFL or DSFL dynasty. Graphic: Show us stats that back up your reasoning. Austin are no doubt the next dynasty around, that's something that they yeti couldn't do in twenty seasons, I know I know low hanging fruit. But seriously, the team has drafted so well to be in the position they are right now , that when every single draft rollsbaround we either have to trade the existing player or the current pick because we have a logjam. I'm sure expansion will fuck us without lube but we have shown ourselves as one of if not the best teams in terms of scouting and drafting while not allowing ourselves to be hamstrung spending time wooing free agents that had no interest coming here in the first place. In terms of slip ups, bar adam having forgotten to vote like twice , there's really only been one fuck up and that's how the butters situation was handled. From the outright , I was against the decision to cut him from the team because I felt at worst he might have maybe a fine or a game ban but we have a Lr strong enough to overcome this. In the end we cut him and he went to SJS on a free and while he does have the odd questionable moment, he is one of the users I enjoy interacting with on site because like me , we are both severely small brained. 17) Robbed Written: Write about why your team was robbed from making the playoffs. How did the sim screw you, and why were you more deserving? Graphic: Explain with a graphic why your team was better than a playoff team. 18) Banner Written: no written option Graphic: Create a championship banner for your team winning the Ultimus or Ultimini 19) OL or K/P Appreciation Written: Write about an active human offensive lineman or special teamer that is in the playoffs, and how they will or did affect the outcome. Graphic: Create a graphic about said OL or K/P and give stats of their season or playoff performances. 20) Ultimus Ad Written: You and your teammates are to appear in a famous ad to be aired during the Ultimus. What is it about? Graphic: Create a graphic depicting this ad. As always have fun with it and please give feedback on the tasks and how I can improve it for next season. Also, PM me with any questions about how this will be graded or what I am looking for with these questions.
1) Playoff Predictions, Reviews:
So the playoffs were recently done and as everyone knows by now, the Austin Copperheads have won the Ultimus. Sadly the playoffs were not a good time for us Colorado Yeti players. We started off strong but when we were met up with the Yellowknife Wraiths, that was our demise and downfall. Their team started really well and scored a lot....and I mean a lot. Our team kind of fell apart and it was really early. Our defense just could not keep up with their receivers or get enough pressure to their quarterback. I think if I recall correctly, we did not really get much pressure on them until the late ends of the third quarter or maybe even the fourth. All I know is that it was too late and we were already prepared that we were going home that day. It is a sad thing to think about, but it is the truth and we just have to keep practicing and preparing for the next season to win the Ultimus. The main focus that we need to prepare for is increasing our eyes and speed to catch the receivers and not let a team players get behind ours. That is just free yardage without them having to earn it. So within a seasons time, I think we will be trained and prepared enough for our rematch once again in the playoffs. I feel that we are just inches away from being an Ultimus winning team. Code: 247 Words 4) Rivalry Oh man, now I am not sure myself if it ties to the other fellow Colorado Yetis with me to decide if they are a rival of us or not, we have not really discussed it as far as I have seen in the locker room, but if it was up to me to decide, it has got to be the one, the only, Yellowknife Wraiths. And I do not think I need to spell out the reason why. I can not count the amount of times I have seen us make it to the playoffs to hopefully get a chance to get an Ultimus under my belt, just to see us get eliminated by the dang Yellowknife Wraiths. Not to get me wrong, I do not hate that team at all, just gets really annoying and wants me to train harder so we can beat them like I know our team is capable of doing. Like we played them near the beginning of the season and won pretty well against them. We need to turn that in to how we play in the post season. Anyway, it is always fun to have a rival in the game because that just makes the league more fun and more competitive. Love playing against that team. Always fun to play against one of the best teams in the league. Code: 227 Words 6) Expansion If I had a chance to get a team to join the league as a new expansion team that would just be amazing. It took a while to think of what type of team name and branding I would use for the team, but I finally came up with an idea. First off, I personally think that the league needs to add another team from the California area. Yes, we have already got the Orange County Otters, but I just think the state is big enough to add another, and probably will at some point. Anyway, I messed around with a few colors and the colors that I liked together that seem nice looking to me ended up being a light type of blue and a dark orange or maybe a tan color. Probably stationed somewhere around central or northern California, but regardless in California. The way I would build the team is to focus on defense. I like a team to stop the other teams and have the defensive side of the ball to take away any type of confidence the other team may have. With either getting sacks all game, or a few interceptions and maybe even causing a few fumbles. Obviously I would like to focus on an offensive line and an running back and quarter back too, but i would be a defense first type of guy. Added below is a placed in logo for the idea. They even gave me a chance to be the co general manager for the team, with now being the prior co general manager, but still I loved this team. That team is the Norfolk Seawolves. The team is run by Scorpxcracker and the locker room is anything but quiet. Any chance that I had any time to poke my head in and chat there was a person there to chat it up, to which in a few moments it would turn to a group of people talking. May it be asking or answering questions for players that do not know what to do for their build or if it was just checking in on the team and talking about there days it was always active. I sadly had to step down at the end of the season just because I do not have the enough available time to be a good general manager there and I think that this team deserves the most active people running the team. So after I stepped down there was an announcement that Juniper had became the next co general manager to the team and that is so deserved. To be honest, he was probably always talking whenever I checked the locker room so he more than deserved to be in that spot. So, that team will hold a special place because I had the chance to be in a lead spot and we even made it to the playoffs that season. 7. Next year is absolutely going to be the Colorado Yeti's year. They have been slowly building towards a championship team and with the additions of a few new rookies this season on top of the seasoned experience of their veteran players like Mo Berry it should be enough to push them over the line once and for all. New kicker Silver Banana has pretty much booted the Minnesota Grey Duck's to back to back DSFL ultiminis with his powerful quads that barely ever miss a kick. As well as this his two season Minnesota Grey Duck's teammate Thor Kirkby is coming up with him. While Kirkby played as a linebacker during his time in the DSFL he is making the switch to Safety to cover a hole in the Colorado Yeti line up and will surely be looking to be a difference maker as one of the higher TPE NSFL rookies this season. Finally the Yeti's are going to win because it is about damn time. They keep getting close to the final hurdle before stumbling or falling and the fans need something to get excited about so for sure this season every single member of the Colorado team is going to go balls out to get their hands on that Ultimus cup.
[213] 9. In terms of players that Thor Kirkby considers his greatest and closest friends who doesn't share his locker room over on the Colorado Yeti would have to be Austin Copperheads Tight End Peter Larson. Kirkby and Larson have been friends for life with both their fathers also being close to each other. Curiously enough Peter Larson's father is actually called Daniel Bischoff so I don't know what happened there but in this modern day who am I to judge. The Kirkby's and the Larson/Bischoffs used to spend every SHL offseason, where their fathers ply their trade, at the beaches and in the jungles of Hawaii. There was an old Scottish bloke who used to run a restaurant there on Maui and Peter Larson used to go absolutely made for Haggis which everyone else thought was pretty gross honestly. Sadly for Kirkby, Peter Larson hasn't been super dedicated to his training and as such it is unlikely that he stays around much longer so they may not fulfill their childhood dreams of playing together in the NSFL and will have to content themselves by eating Haggis on the beach in Hawaii and regaling each other of their various times and exciting stories from their respective teams. [206] 19. By far the best punter of them all is a very special man that has plied his trade for the last two seasons with the Minnesota Grey Ducks in the DSFL. There really are very few words that accurately describe how good of a kicker and punter that Silver Banana is. Starting off with his name. With such a ridiculous name you know that he has to be good otherwise literally everyone, coaches, his team mates and for sure the opposition would take the piss out of him relentlessly. Secondly and probably most importantly is the stats themselves. Without his piston like legs that he only ever works out if he actually misses a kick he wouldn't have been able to dominate the DSFL like he has. He made more extra point kicks than any other kicker in the league and while his percentage perhaps wasn't as good it doesn't matter because he made more. He made more field goals than any other kicker including the most from 50 plus yards and the longest individual kick from a whopping fifty seven yards. As well as this he is sometimes called upon to go out and punt the ball and even though he is basically completely rubbish at punting he will still do it because the team needs him.
