We run a slower tempo ground attack system that makes us win. You run a system that makes you pass a lot as a mobile QB and run a high tempo, and admittedly it sometimes makes you win. I have no doubt you'd have been 3 seed in the NSFC. But if you and Amrstrong run the same strats with the same defense with the same opponents over the same season, Armstrong might beat you with the slower tempo ground attack and you might beat him with the high tempo air attack. Unfortunately we aren't in a vacuum and thus are unable to exactly compare. But I do believe Armstrong had an edge because of efficiency and wins. Quote:First of all, you can't just assume a player maintains that rate of efficiency the entire time through. With more attempts, Armstrong's averages could have fallen off. I'll take volume over efficiency any day of the week. can't assume makes an assumption. ![]() Quote:Yeah, let's ignore team record Yeah we should, what Outlaw wants to be reminded of their terrible record? That they missed the playoffs yet again? Quote:Cause Cue and Armstrong have no control over their defenses, only their offenses. Oh wow, would you look at that, Arizona has the best offense in terms of PPG. They also have the best passing offense in terms of YPG. Cue had the 11th best rushing offense in terms of YPG and still carried his offense to become the best offense in terms of PPG. Armstrong had the best rushing offense in terms of YPG on his side, and yet the Otters finished behind the Outlaws in terms of PPG. Otters had the 5th best passing offense in terms of YPG. Since when is PPG an individual stat lmao? YPG is also not an individual stat, and is also very attempt based. They're also context dependent. This says close to nothing about Cue's MVP status. You were the one that brought up our record and how FA had led his team to more wins and stuff, and now you're backtracking on that and saying that its context dependent and irrelevant? ![]()
Go Nola amiright?

Arizona's offense scored 392 points. Orange County's scored 398. Just to be clear on that one. Also there's a bunch of talk about volume being better in here, and if that's your cup of tea then by all means. But you can't just ignore that that argument also means you have to acknowledge Cue threw five more interceptions on just 94 more attempts. Armstrong would have had to chuck a pick once every 19 pass attempts to do that on the same number of attempts starting from his current numbers. So the sum of Cue's volume "advantage" is 599 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions. Those aren't exactly stats I'd want to add to my QB's numbers. Ultimately people are going to have their preference on what set of numbers is better and I can live with that personally. What's silly to me is that people who voted Cue didn't vote Armstrong and (potentially) vice versa. There's no logical argument I can see justifying that sort of decision making. ![]() (07-27-2020, 03:36 PM)TubbyTim69 Wrote:Like idk why they're fighting over who MVP is on the pro bow voting.... pro bowl votes arent MVP votes.
