Hello everyone. As is tradition, somewhere along the lines of doing awards I screwed something up and have to correct it after the fact. This was brought to my attention this morning.
Pete Miller was listed as a nominee for S25's Defensive Tackle of the Year award in the Awards Show. He was not nominated for this award. When posting the ballots to the GMs, I accidentally included him in the ballot and not Daymond Brooks. When I was notified of this, I quickly corrected the issue, removing Pete Miller and replacing him with Daymond Brooks and making sure the check the votes that were already put in - but a team was already filling out the ballot at that time. That team ended up putting Pete Miller in first place - giving him 3 points - but meant to put Claude Miller in first.
At the end of voting, Pete Miller erroneously received 3 points while real nominee Goat Tank received only 2 points - and since I only include the top 5 point recipients in my awards slides, Goat Tank was erroneously removed from the slideshow.
I have since corrected the public ballot (which you can view HERE) and would like to extend my most sincere apologies to Goat Tank (@Eldorian) and the Orange County Otters organization as a whole for the mistake. I would also like to apologize to the ISFL Awards Committee who put together the nominees. This was my fault for not being more diligent in checking the ballot results and I will do my best to keep this from happening again.
