First of all, how dare you come at me with this PT title. I sit on a throne of lies? The great Garfield Despacito Jr. sits on a throne of lies? Not a chance buddy. 4 weeks into the season, Despacito Jr. has been an absolute freak of nature defying everyone's comically low expectations of him. He is currently 8th in the league in receiving yards with an impressive 328 yards of receptions, but there's more to it that makes it more impressive. He has accomplished this with only 11 (ELEVEN) catches. This makes his average yardage per catch a staggering 29.8 (what?). And if you aren't already blown away by this fact, there is more to absorb from the Despacito Jr. stat line. What if I told you that on top of these already flabbergasting receiving numbers, he also has 5 (FIVE) touchdowns from the aforementioned 11 catches? That's right, Despacito Jr. averages almost one touchdown for every two catches he makes? How is that even fair? How do you compete with this man? Anyway now that we have the facts and stats out of the way, its pretty clear that if Despacito Jr. even somewhat maintains this pace, he will be an easy shoe-in for offensive breakout player of the year. And not only that, but at this pace which currently is set to break the all-time TD record, he would have to be in consideration for the best offensive player outright. Now that that is said, I am excited to watch Despacito Jr. make 2 catches for 10 yards and 0 TDs for the rest of the season.

I am going with an interesting choice of overreacting here and am going to say that the Honolulu Hahalua season is over and done with. After the first 4 weeks of ISFL football the Hahalua are 0-4 on the season and can not seem to be able to catch a break. 3 home games and 1 away game so far on the season, which begs the question what is going on in Honolulu. They can not seem to get wins infront of their own crown and in the one away game they were also not able to convince. With a shocking 78 offensive points and receive 119 points on the defensive sie, honolulu sits 3rd to last in points allowed and tied for 2nd worst in points for.

Despite 2 games that were within a touchdown, the last two games they played of which both were home the score was atleast a touchdown and field goal apart and lets not even get started on the Otters game.

With a stretch of 3 away games and 1 home game coming up for the Hahalua they will look to try and turn the season around, but know it will be a hard task. Making the playoffs starting off with a 0-4 would be unheard of and Honolulu might aswell look at just trying to secure the 1st overall in the draft. (/s)

I am wondering whether the expansion should have been straight to 16 teams considering just how stacked pretty much all the teams in the league are. As for massive overreactions at the end of the first week...Hahalua, what the hell happened to you? You were a game out of the playoffs last year, and then all of a sudden your QB turned into the worst QB in the league while there are 3 S24 QBs and Easton Cole is out here moving with a walker. Granted, while Podolak is still a very respectable number 1 receiver, Korbin Brown...isn't that respectable of a number 2. Then again, he's been PERFORMING like a respectable number 2 so far. As far as I can tell, the problem can be pinned squarely to your OLine, which currently has one human member-a true rookie, to boot. Meanwhile, in the NSFC, I have a question to ask: How bad exactly is 37.5 points per game? Like, I know this league's had its fair share of terrible teams for long periods of time, the Sabercats, Butchers, and Yeti have all taken pretty long tumbles in the cellar from what I know, and due to how the first seasons worked there definitely were more talent deficient defenses early on, but I really wonder just how bad this defensive start is for a team that many had as...well, not a playoff team, but not in 7th in the league! Seriously, Fire Salamanders, this is a flat out embarrassment, you're making the OUTLAWS D look competent by comparison.

After a lukewarm second year--a sophomore slump, if you will--Wasrabi Gleel made a statement in week one against the Norfolk Seawolves. He led the team with 6 tackles, but made his presence felt with a couple big plays like a key pass deflection and the play of the game: A sack for a safety just when Norfolk was beginning to gain momentum and mount a potential upset. After a season where those splash plays were few and far between, Gleel was elated to be named the player of the game.

    Is this a sign that the now veteran player is ready to take a leap this year and finally be on the awards ballot? Potentially, but it will depend surprisingly on how effective the Minnesota offense as the season progresses. In his rookie year, Gleel made his presence known by ending the year with over 100 tackles. It seemed he was flying all over the field. But one thing to consider about that season was just how ineffective the Minnesota offense was. Unable to sustain long drives, Minnesota punted the ball to the otherside early and often. This gave the defense plenty of time and opportunity on the field to make plays, and the stats show it with Alejandro Chainbreaker also having a great statistical season.

    The Minnesota offense took a leap forward in season two, and spent more time on the field. That, coupled with playing out of the MLB position where the hindrance of Gleel’s lumbering gait can be minimized, Gleel flew under the radar all season. Firmly entrenched in the MLB role this season, and with a new cast of rookies on offense, I believe Gleel will break 100 tackles this season as well as put himself in contention for an award.

Within the first week of the season, one thing is clear: Berlin is performing far worse than they should be on paper. Something in Berlin isn’t working. While it seems on paper that they should be a competitive team, they’re relatively young, (with Asher Quinn being their oldest player, and the only one in regression), they have a good spread of TPE throughout their player base, and their weakest spot is probably due to the fact that they are corner heavy with their defensive backs and their one safety is IA. They actually have an active team that should age well together, with only 2 total IA players, but it still begs the question: why aren’t they able to finish games. They aren’t that far behind New York in terms of defensive TPE (and yet have allowed 70 more points), and are actually ahead in offensive TPE, so why can’t they win a game? Many people simming early put a lot on Berlin to win it all, and it seems that they might genuinely be an all or nothing team. In fact throughout the first week, multiple season sims showed Berlin either coming out on top, or on bottom. There was no middle ground. Is it bad luck? The wrong strats? An unfortunate schedule? What is causing this team to begin the season 0-4. It isn’t as though they’ve been blown out of games, and in fact, they were able to win three of their four preseason games? Is it just a big “heck you” from the Sim? Cos it certainly feels like it's a big "heck you" from the Sim. They're the chosen ones for the unlucky streak this season.
