Pythons - Pythons got an amazing start in this season. It has already got three wins over the past three weeks, against London, Buccaneers, and Kansas. The three opponents are very strong since London Royals and Buccaneers were the first and second in the last season. The games against the two teams were indeed very close - we beat Royals with 27-13, and Buccaneers with 17 - 16. Our wins can be attributed to a stronger team this year, as we already got six players capped at 250 TPEs, and the other 9 players earning 100-250 TPEs. All the new players in Pythons are very active.  Of course, any win in the Sim league relies on luck. London Royals have 8 players capped at 250 TPEs, and other 5 players at 100-250 TPEs; Buccaneers have 5 players over 250 TPEs and other 9 players earning 100-250 TPEs. The three teams are somewhat similar in terms of TPEs. We had some sim luck, for sure. Messi - Mario Messi also got a very nice start. Within the past three games, Mario Messi got 15 receives and 207 Yards. Hence Mario ranks as the third in terms of receiving and fourth in yards in the league. Mario got a very strong build with speed = 89, hand = 80, and endurance = 70. This year, Pythons got another great wide receiver McGrady. While Messi's individual stats might go down because of the shared receiving between Messi and McGrady, it is much more likely for the team to win games with two strong WRs. Future looks bright for Mario Messi and Pythons.

After the early success of this year, I can say my player is absolutely 100% over the hill and might as well be buried. Through 6 games I'm averaging less than 3 tackles per game with only 2 sacks. TWO! Last season I had two sacks in my first game. Last season I thought I had a conceptual case for being the best DE of the year (though I think I played outside of the DE position too much to qualify for voting), but this year just seems like a bust on the personal stats side.
The upside that's very different than my personal stats, though, is that the team is doing great. We've had shockingly good offense, with Cole seemingly remembering how to throw the ball better than last year despite his advancing age. I'm hoping it's not just good luck and that we're actually building a sustainable team, but I am worried. We're currently tied for 2nd place (abliet with lower tiebreakers) with Orange County which is decidedly better of a position than we've been in during recent years. I think our 4-0 home record vs. an 0-2 away line shows that we're not quite as strong as the record looks, though, and so I expect us to have some issues later in the season. I think we can still contend, but I'm thinking our upside is 3rd in the division (or maybe 2nd with good tiebreakers) while struggling to actually make it to the Ultimus.

Time to overreact or…underreact? I don’t know for sure but with 4 weeks of sim time in the books the Norfolk Seawolves are in the bottom of the SFC South at a 1-3 record. The team is second to last in passing offense and our quarterback Rune isn’t helping things. Rune is god awful and I mean god awful with the lowest QB rating and getting beaten out by rookie quarterbacks from Tijuana and London. Rune is tied for the most interceptions in the league with Peterson from Kansas City and they are doing just slightly worse than Norfolk. I guess it’s not an overreaction to state that Norfolk is doing really bad and their quarterback just isn't cutting it. The team needs some real goddamn quarterback play from an active user and it’s a shame that we, the active players, have to put up with this bullshit. We had a winnable game at home against Minnesota in week 1 had it not been for the 2 interceptions Rune had thrown. And the last week 4 game was the worst I’d ever seen in the DSFL with Rune absolutely being outclassed to the point that London brought out it’s rookie quarterback for snaps and they even did better than Rune. Am I overreacting? I sure hope so because Norfolk doesn’t have a goddamn hope for the playoffs at this rate and Rune is hot garbage.

Borgo San Lorenzo, Tight End turned Wide Reciever for the Dallas Birddogs, will win offensive rookie of the year. Not only have the Birddogs started the season 3-1, but San Lorenzo (12 Catches/174 Yards/0 Touchdowns) has led the team in receiving yards in 3 of those 4 games. While he has yet to catch a touchdown pass, if this trend continues, San Lorenzo will pass the Birddog’s overall leading receiver Mark Callous (17/239/0) in yards over the next few games, as he’s only currently 65 yards behind with five fewer catches. The Birddogs do have a run-heavy offense behind stud Cobra Kai and a rookie quarterback in Joliet Christ Jr., but if San Lorenzo can continue to develop the chemistry he’s created with Christ Jr., then it’s possible that his first score will come in the next few games. San Lorenzo is currently sitting as the 3rd best rookie receiver behind Eleven Kendrick-Watts of KC (18/277/1) and Tsuyu Asui of LDN (20/214/1), and he’s technically being built as a Vertical Threat TE. San Lorenzo also has the third-highest Average Yards per Catch among rookies at 14.5, behind only Eleven Kendrick-Watts and Quavious McGrady, who is a S26 Player who is still listed as a rookie in the index (likely went undrafted in his DSFL draft). With these stats, you might think that Kendrick-Watts might have a better shot at rookie of the year, but Kendrick-Watts plays for a currently 0-4 Kansas City, so while his stats are better, he’s not really helping his team win, whereas San Lorenzo is quickly becoming an offensive force to be reckoned with in Dallas.

All the sets the London Royals are currently two and two on the season after starting the season 0-2  and seemed to be riding the ship as they say I think that will be challenging for the playoffs again this year and hopefully we'll go deep into the playoffs and have a chance at winning the Ultimini.  now I feel that my player has gotten off to a strong start he's leading defensive tackles and sacks and is probably about top 10 in sacks for every player and I'm leading defensive tackles  in tackles and tackles for loss so as it sits here I'm going to go ahead and put myself on top of the list of potential defensive tackle of the Year Award winners and I don't even think it's really all that close this point.  there is no other defensive tackle in the league that is putting up the numbers that I am and at this point they might as well just stop counting the votes and just hand me the award and we'll just move on with our day but overall even if I win defensive tackle of the year and he'll maybe Defensive Rookie of the Year it's not going to matter unless we end up winning a championship ring in the end.

Look im not even going to hold back (I don't think i have for a while now) that I think that the san jose sabercats are overrated. Two Ultimuses in a row for them is two too many. And really the least convincing reason of all is probably that they were the away team and therefore at a disadvantage to start. My apologies to the team, but they just aren't that good. Maybe this is me going back too far and being biased from my time in Baltimore where San Jose got their first W in a rather unconvincing fashion (Hawks later went on to smash them the next year in the S15 Ultimus which was the greatest Ultimus rout ever), but its not like their team has changed all that much since them from what I can tell. Anyway, as a Yeti its just frustrating to put all this work in to make it to the Ultimus (deservedly and on our own merits as the unquestioned best team in the NSFC) and then only lose to a scrub team which we had an 80% chance of beating. I get it, I've lived with this sim long enough and maybe the next one will be better. And any sane Saberkitten will agree we got gypped. So its at least at least a little encouraging to see them sitting at 2-4 with a mountain to climb to get back in the playoff hunt. They've scored the fewest points in the league and let in the 5th most. They haven't beat a team that's better than .500. I think this is a greater representation of the San Jose Sabercats than whatever team won the last two Ultimuses.

Six weeks into the season, Killian Chambers and the Philadelphia Liberty have gotten off to a slow start. Killian Chambers is the definition of a boom or bust player. There are weeks where he excels, such as week 2 against the New Orleans Second Line where he caught a 59-yard bomb for a TD. This play is currently the 6th longest passing play of the season. Chambers’ performance against New Orleans helped propel Philadelphia to a win despite being heavy underdogs. In fact, even though the Liberty have a 2-4 record, they are the only team that has defeated the 5-1 Second Line.

Despite Chambers making big plays, he has also had quite a few bad games. In week 4 against the Sailfish, he had as many receiving yards as the Philadelphia Liberty had points. Meaning, he had 7 receiving yards in a 37-7 loss. In week 6 against the Hawks, he had 0 receptions for 0 yards. This is awful in a game where Philadelphia passed 40 times. Chambers couldn’t manage to haul in a single reception on 40 passing attempts. The Philadelphia Liberty ended up losing this game 20-15. One thing is clear, if the Liberty wants to win games they need to pass Chambers the ball more. The Liberty have won 100% of the time when Chambers has scored a TD. So, if Chambers can score at least 1 TD a game, the Liberty will go undefeated the rest of the season. 100% guaranteed!
