Alright so here is my hot take. Some might agree, some might disagree, but it is what it is. As an analyst of the International Simulation Football League, I can tell you with my own eyes that Korbin Brown looks to be fucking incredible this season. Bossman called him up. Bossman said "We're gonna give you the ball more. We need to utilize you further in our offense, my good friend". Korbin said "yeah, I got you bossman". Since then, he caught two touchdowns and like 150 something yards. We can tell that Korbin Brown is simply about to explode. We saw him against New York. He came into the game as he would like every other game, but we all knew that something was about to happen. He was about to prove to the entire league that he is the receiver that is to be feared from Honolulu. As we can see, he really proved his point. Will he continue this performance in his next couple of games as the Honolulu Hahalua begin to see signs of life? Who knows. However, we can clearly see that his confidence is up and will continue. He's on a hot streak and has no plans of stopping for anyone or anything.

Jack Banks, star linebacker for the New York Silverbacks, deserves the richest contract in the ISFL and I'll tell you why.
Banks declared himself draft eligible late in the offseason before being drafted in the later rounds by the Norfolk Seawolves. The stud linebacker went on to play two dominant years in the DSFL and was inducted into the team Hall of Fame. Jack Banks slipped in the ISFL draft too, but immediately made an impact for the expansion Honolulu Hahalua. Once again, however, Banks was overlooked and was left unprotected in the league's next expansion draft. The New York Silverbacks immediately jumped on the opportunity to pick up a playmaker by selecting Banks first overall. Bank has rewarded the faith that New York has placed in him. Last season he finished second in the league in sacks and was named Defensive Breakout Player of the Year. Until Banks arrived in New York he was underrated and underappreciated. Echoing the Greatest of All Time Michael Jordan, Banks has been heard reflecting on his perceived slights by saying "And I took that personally". And now, after proving himself time and time and time again, Banks is ready to echo the famous words of someone else..."Show me the money". ![]() ![]()
Early in the season, we can already see the trends that play out through the season. A major overreaction to a trend we have seen is that Berlin is not going to be able to make the playoffs. While they have tested extremely high, they do not have the sim luck required to make up the losses that occurred early in the season. Some might say that is not an overreaction to say that a two win team will not make the playoffs, but once you see the testing numbers that they have from the season, it becomes much more apparent how lucky being ‘good’ in the sim is compared to actually being good. Berlin does not have luck on their side to come back from their early season deficit. There are not a lot of teams that come back from falling to 2-5 and still somehow make the move to the playoffs. Any examples usually are well known lucky teams that follow the typical examples of “well the season tests show that they do well so it will come around.” Berlin, still being a new team, faces the unfortunate effect of some other teams that do not receive that luck regardless of how season tests go out.

Lies? Who lies here? I guess there is one thing that can lie. And that is the league standings. Do not let them deceive you. Berlin being 2-5 is deceiving. The odds of the Salamanders being winless after 4 weeks of games was around 1%. ONE. PERCENT. We were favored to win all of our first four games. The odds of us being winless after 5 weeks of games was around .5%. ONE. HALF. OF. A. PERCENT. Do you know what that screams? ULTIMUS! The Berlin Fire Salamanders are the best team in the league right now. We should be undefeated, with seven wins after seven games. Yet, with how the sim is set up, we only have two wins. You want hot takes, and you may think I am giving you one. But I am not. We are going to win the Ultimus. Do we have the best quarterback? No. Best wide receivers? Again, no. Best O-Line? No. Best Defence? No, again. But do we have the best team all around? Hell yes. And I dare every single one of you to say otherwise. My line is open. Hit me up to talk about it. But write it down. Berlin Fire Salamanders, Ultimus Bowl XXVI Winners, and Season 26 ISFL Champions. The team only works on streaks.

The first few weeks of the season for the Portland pythons has been nothing short of amazing. I am so happy with how our team is performing on the offensive side of the ball and defensive side of the ball. It takes a full team effort to have four wins and zero losses. Our rookies this year have been amazing at earning TPE and being active as users for our locker room. I believe one of the biggest things we did this year was treating for wide receiver Quavious McGrady. Adding another weapon like that has really opened up my game as quarterback. I think right now I am the front runner for the MVP of the DSFL. I hope I can continue this performance throughout the rest of the season and we can win the championship Portland deserves it. As far as the ISFL I believe that the orange county otters will win this year. They have always played good for the recent years that I have been a part of this league and I hope that this year they can win it all. This season has already been super interesting and I can’t wait to see what the end will bring. When or lose I am always proud to be a Portland python and represent this team as a quarterback.
