I think the new sim engine will increase player and user engagement. With the addition of new archetypes and additional things to spend TPE on, player building will take on a whole new dimension. It will definitely be interesting to see how the new engine will affect the teams, and hopefully, it will result in better team parity across the league. I wouldn’t say that having teams that dominate year after year isn’t realistic, I can imagine that it’s not fun to be on a team that’s always at the bottom of the conference. With that said, I think some changes are coming to the pecking order with the new sim engine and in the new year. I think that the Philadelphia Liberty and the Honolulu Hahalua are at the top of their respective conferences in the coming year and that one of them is able to take home the Ultimus trophy before the end of June 2021 (that’s what, 3 or 4 seasons from now?). In the DSFL, things are harder to predict, as the teams are so volatile in nature with things like call-ups and the size and quality of incoming draft classes fluctuating so much from season to season. I’ll be bold and say that the Dallas Birddogs will win the Ultimini sometime before the end of 2021. Hopefully, it’s while I’m a part of the team, but with a bunch of teams in the ISFL who need TEs, I’m not sure how long I’ll be staying down.
