In the DSFL, I think my boy Saleem Spence has a great shot at the receiving title, with 700 yards through the first half of the season putting him on pace for the DSFL receiving yards record in a single season.

For MVP consideration though, it really should be LeBron James III. The Portland Quarterback so far this season has a 63.6 completion percentage, 12 TDs, 4 picks, close to 2000 yards, all really, really good numbers. IF QB carries a team as much as media narratives lead us to believe, then James is the pick.

Of course, one could look at it as an award where the winner is the biggest contributor to the best team, thus being more valuable than anyone else. In that case, we'd look to the 6-1 Birddogs, and where they excel compared to the rest of the league is rushing offense. Running Back Sirdsvaldis Miglasķēms is carrying the mail for the Birddogs, with 178 carries for 764 yards and 10 touchdowns in 7 games. However, he is only averaging 4.3 yards per carry, and the league-leading Dallas rushing attack is augmented by his understudy Erik Gaare (41 carries, 262 yards), and a hard-working offensive line led by Duncan Donuts. Overall, I'd still be inclined to favour James for Most Valuable Player.

I'm looking at my boy Andrew Witten @mithrandir for CBOTY at a minimum, but I don't think DPOY is outside of the realm of possibility. He is Shutting. Folks. Down. First of all, as a cornerback he is 4th in the league in tackles, on pace for 124 tackles this season which is just a boatload from the cornerback position. Second, and I think much more importantly, he's been a turnover machine. He leads the league with 6 forced turnovers, 4 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles, and I don't need to tell any of you that the turnover ratio leads to more wins than just about any other statistic. He is buying NOLA more possessions nearly every single game. Unfortunately, what may cost Witten the award is the rest of the team around him. As far as points allowed are concerned, NOLA has a very middle of the pack offense, and a pretty bad defense overall which has led them so far to a 3-6 record. In a season where new teams seem to be taking the ASFC by storm with Honolulu, Arizona, and New York all fighting to knock out slumping Orange County and NOLA, Witten's performance may be overlooked. However, I for one wanted to point out that he's killing it. Keep it up, friend!

Well, I can say that one award is almost entirely locked down by two people. Raphtalia Chan and Tatsu Nakamura are in a dead heat on who's going to win Running Back of the Year. By all accounts, they're neck-and-neck, Chan having a slightly higher YPC stat and about 11 more yards over Nakamura. Tychondrius Hood has WRoTY locked down so far, with an astounding 19.2 yards per catch and 8 touchdowns, most in the league on both accounts. While he may not measure up in raw yardage to William Lim, he was way better efficiency metrics and 3 more touchdowns, so my pick right now goes to Hood.

Let's look at some defense, to balance things out. I think Douglas Quaid has LBoTY locked down pretty tight, with all the stats he's been able to record. He leads the league in tackles at 83, has 7 TFLs, 2 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries, 5 sacks and 4 pass deflections. The only thing missing for him on the stat sheet is a pick, but other than that, he's been a monster up in Yellowknife as their defensive leader. To round thing's out, let's look at CBoTY, which I think also has a clear winner at the moment. Desmond Scarlett has had an absolutely bonkers season at CB. With 27 deflections, not only is that the most in the league, he's well on track to absolutely demolish Mervin Leonard's single season deflection record, which was set at 34. He should have that award in his trophy case, no questions asked on my part.

Dexter Hall should win DRotY for the DSFL. With a stat line of 41 tackles, 8 tackles for a loss, only 3 missed tackles, 1 sack, and 1 passes defensed, Hall is only getting better as each game goes on. While his tackles and sacks will not impress you, Hall is doing more on the field that you see in the box scores. Multiple times a game Dexter Hall is chasing down a runaway QB, RB, or WR and bringing them down to save a would-be touchdown. What praise does he get for this? Just a single tackle in the stat sheet. In other situations, Hall has made key 3rd down tackles to force a punt or field goal in key moments. His heroics have not gone unnoticed however. Per Agent Tesla's DSFL highlights, Dexter Hall has been recognized in two games, which is tied for 1st. Hall is also tied for 2nd with 8 tackles for a loss. Finally, Hall has had to step up for the Coyotes defense. This year KCC's defensive TPE is made up of rookies by 52%, almost 10% more than the next closest team. Linebackers traditionally are the leaders of the defense, and being the only non-bot linebacker on the team, Hall has had to step up for the team.

For the DSFL MVP I have to go with CB James Gath. I have to pick a Grey Duck. But really he has been dominating this season, flying around the field to make plays. Get it? He's a duck. Duck fly... Anyways he has the third most tackles in the league, which is pretty amazing for a corner. I believe that he has had the most dynamic performance out of the tackle leaders: he's forced the most turnovers with four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. That's enough to make him the league leader in forced fumbles. And he's a corner! Come on if that's not enough to get MVP then I don't know what is. Grey ducks represent!

I can't deny my love of Star Wars for this pick. Even so, Baby Yoda has put up the number to put him in contention for the ISFL's best RB award. He's currently third in the league in rush yards and fourth in rush touchdowns. Throw in some decent receiving stats and he definitely has a chance. I sense a disturbance in the force though. Baby Yoda is going to have a killer second half of the season. He's just begun his training training with Luke and that will pay dividends. May the force be with you, Baby Yoda.

Y’all are probably getting a load of users predicting the more convention and famous awards, so I’ll try to predict some of the lesser talked about or less-existent awards. (hopefully that’s within the parameters). Starting with one that does exist and that I will be campaigning for once discussion about it starts. DSFLGM or the year: RussDrivesTheBus. I’m not saying that to butter them up cause they already drafted me anyway. From what I understand this is their first season. I’m not entirely sure what state the franchise was in before them, but I do know this rookie class has been earning incredibly well and are a lot of fun to hang out with. They’ve been active and helpful in the locker room and really made my time here a blast. I know I’m not the only rookie on the team that will say that. Now that I’ve used up most of the word count, I’d like to nominate another teammate for an award. Jacob Raske for benchwarmer of the year. In high pressure situations in 2 minute drills, they’ve shown generational talent at spiking the ball. That’s not all they can do though! They also have the 3rd highest passer rating in the DSFL as a secondary QB. Oh damn, I’m over 200 words already. Guess it's time to start writing a media on this prompt.
