The life of a RB in the DSFL has a lot of ups and downs. Although the vast majority of my carries have been for something close to 1 or 2 yards, there has been a moment where everything was different. I was just beginning my career and it was one of my very first games, I had yet to prove anything to my teammates to gain their trust. I was a RB2 and had very few touches. But then the great Sirdsvaldis Miglaskems became tired after again rushing for a TD. That’s when I came in, only really to drain the clock with a few rushing attempts. We were very deep in our own territory and it was the fourth quarter, so all we could ask for was to keep a hold on the lead and drain the clock. But as I got the ball and looked in front of me, there was nothing. It was a pitch play, I made sure I had the possession of the ball and once my head turned, there were no defenders between me and the endzone. Seventy seven yards of grass and all that could stop me was me not being fast enough. I ran like my life depended on it. The stadium went quiet, as it was an away game. I ran and ran, hearing people run behind me, but nothing was gonna stop me. It was my greatest run, all my teammates celebrated with me. It was everything. It was my greatest moment in this league.
