(S29) PT 4 - Statues

Honestly, this is a no-brainer. I would have two different statues instead of one due to the fact that the Arizona outlaws' history is so rich and deep. The two players I would have immortalized are King Bronko and Jay Cue. Both of them are clearly the two best quarterbacks that the Franchise has ever seen. King Bronko came to the franchise as their first major quarterback and helped the team to their earliest success. Under him, the Outlaws won 3 ultimus in a row which happened in the first three years of the league. Bronko eventually retired playing only with the Outlaws and was the first Arizona Outlaw to be inducted into the ISFL Hall of Fame. He currently holds all of the passing Outlaw records which will not be beaten for a long time. Jay Cue on the other hand is a fan favourite player. During his career with the Outlaws, the team hasn't gotten much playoff success like King Bronko, but he stayed loyal with the team and won several individual awards which includes 2 QB of the year and one offensive player of the year. He also came close to winning MVP in one of his years. So in conclusion, these two should be enshired in the team history and I believe most will not disagree with my choices.

Sarasota is rather new in the ISFL scene, and doesn't have quite the legacy that other storied franchises (such as the Arizona Outlaws and Orange County Otters) can draw from to create an iconic player statue. That said, if Sarasota had to pick one figure from their history to build a statue for, it would probably be Raphtalia Chan. The Sarasota Sailfish running back was a fantasy football legend, and put together a few productive seasons and big games for them, including the Ultimus MVP performance where she rushed 15 times for 91 yards and one touchdown that established a good early pace in their win of the trophy over the New Orleans Second Line.

Chan was also noted for her sense of charity, donating food and essential supplies to low income households, and fighting off waves of monsters attempting to assault the city of Sarasota, carving them to pieces with her signature katana. Raphtalia Chan eventually had to retire in the Season 28 offseason to pursue other interests, leaving the RB spot to veteran overseas free agent Chizuru Ichinose. However, Raphtalia is still viewed as an iconic figure for the Sailfish, and a statue of her striking a pose in the endzone would be viewed positively by the Sarasota populace.

While I myself have only been in the league for a season and a half, my time at Norfolk has been incredible. A lot of this is because of the person who reignited my love for sim leagues, negs. Even before the announcement that negs was becoming the new co-GM for the Seawolves, they were already making a huge positive impact on the team. They were hanging around and joining in on some bot games that us players were playing, just being an all-around good vibe emitter for the rest of us, and really sparked me to come back and put 110% into this season. In the one and a half seasons I've played, Norfolk has gone 3-19-1 so far. Although they weren't here for all of it, this season negs has always been there to cheer on the big plays we make and make light of the good even in a blowout loss. negs is someone that all the players enjoy and is, in my opinion, the heart of Norfolk, always happy and energetic. Without a doubt, negs needs a statue for their energy, and if we start to win some games, it will solidify negs' (short) legacy as one of the cornerstones of Norfolk's culture.

Multiple Award Winner, Team Record Holder, Pro Bowler, Team Leader & Ultimus Champion. Chizuru Ichinose is one of the easiest choices for one of the first Sarasota Sailfish players so the team and the community have decided to erect a statue on the first game of the first season after the player has retired. The prototype statue is available to see in the team store while the player continues his journey on the football field.

In my own humble opinion i believe only truly great players who are seen as the face of a franchise should be immortalized outside of the stadium, so I will talk about a few Silverbacks; who in the short time of the existence; have captured the hearts and minds of the New York faithful. Firstly I think GM wise; the two founders bwestfield and woelkers should have statues outside the stadium; they managed to build an amazing base for the team; and won GMoTY only a couple years into the silverbacks existance taking the team to the conference finals. Player wise there are so many great players; but I have to list a few people who are the heart and soul of the team; Jack Banks the first overall pick in the expansion draft has broken out as a player in his time in New York; from general mediocirty in Honolulu to one of the best Linebackers in the League once he moved to the big apple. Another name is Jackson Kingston; a big name Wide Reciever who has consistently been the top option and been a crazy threat on kick and punt returns. Finally I think that FB Buster Bawlls has a huge chance; with Iconic Big Plays and the fact he is the only truely great Fullback in the League; Bawlls is someone who has won the hearts and minds of new york and will continue to do so

Your team has designated an area outside the stadium for a new statue but are struggling to confirm which candidate from their shortlist is deserving of such an honor. Which figure from your team, past or present, do you believe is worthy of being immortalized? What led to you choosing them?

I think this is a pretty easy question to answer. Bondi Beach has had some great players in the past, but how many players can say that led a renaissance of an entire position in the game of football? I'd say the answer is Givussafare Rubbe. Givussafare Rubbe was one of the first OL on Bondi Beach when the new management came in and moved the team to the new city.

Givussafare Rubbe spent a couple seasons in Bondi Beach before going to play in the ISFL where he had a career that some people have said is hall of fame caliber. For that reason alone I think he'd be a great choice for having a statue outside of the stadium. With Bondi Beach being such a new team Givussafare Rubbe could be their first hall of fame player in the franchise's history. I'd say that alone is a good enough reason for him to be the statue outside the stadium.

If Givussafare Rubbe makes it into the hall of fame once he's on the ballot that would absolutely seal the deal. I don't think there's anyone else in Bondi Beach's alumni group that really matches up the career that Rubbe had in either the ISFL or the DSFL.

The decided honor of being immortalized outside the Yeti stadium should undoubtedly go to Yeti great Micycle McCormick. As a player Micycle played the two most important positions during his career, kicker and punter. Oh and he also did this QB thing after he messed his foot up pretty good stubbing his toes. During his tenure as an important part of the team, McCormick set the league on fire, becoming the first player to record a perfect kicking season (2022), going 10 for 10 on extra points and 21 for 21 on field goals, although surprisingly didn't win kicker of the year until the next season (2023). He then went on to win various other Player of the Year awards and Pro Bowl appearances as he was good at stuff, but he also was key in the ownership transition of the Yeti from Footson to Mitch McCormick (Micycle's daddy) after Micycle was fired as head coach of the Yeti and  which led to his nepotistic role of Vice President of Football Operations. In that title I'm sure Micycle would have no problem putting himself outside the stadium but really he would deserve it anyway as he was good at football and other things
