I've seen this done more than once, but I'm here to set the record the straight and rank and give my unequaled thoughts on the ISFL logos and brands.

New Orleans Second Line - Someone has to be last in every list and I guess that falls to NOLA in this case. I googled what a Second Line was and the meaning of it for New Orleans. Neat idea, but not sure it really strikes much fear or much of anything in the hearts of opponents. Seems to be a New Orleans trait to try to be quirky or unique with their names. Like the NOLA Baby Cakes. Not a huge fan of the colour combo here either. And the logo just has a lot going on all over the place for me. Awesome way to connect with the city and such, but not a winning combo here.
13.
Philadelphia Liberty - Another good attempt to connect with the city, but so so overdone. We get it, Philly has a bell. The colours seem to be pretty similar to Phillies and 76ers colours too. Just needed more imagination from the get go. I feel with such a simplistic primary logo, that a secondary logo is needed here. Not sure what though. That's all I got.
12.
Chicago Butchers - Biggest drawback for me were the red and black colours. They do work for the logo and brand for Chicago and the need for blood on the cleaver, but they aren't my favourite. Butchers is a cool name and a cool profession as well, so marks for that. A secondary logo with a burly Polish guy holding with rings of sausage around his neck or something would be a cool add for such a simple logo.
11.
New York Silverbacks - Was King Kong a Silverback? According to Google he was, so we're good here. Very effective tie in to NY and the use of a font that I connect with old movies, when Kong was at his peak, is pretty slick. This one should be much higher in terms of creativity, but I just have never been a fan of gorillas. Or King Kong. There was a fun house/ haunted house at Klondike Days in Edmonton during the 90s with a mechanical gorilla on top that scared the bejesus out of me every time we walked by. My dad had to carry me past while I buried my head in fear. If that wasn't bad enough, my family went to Orlando when I was 10 or 11 and we went on the King Kong ride at Universal Studios. I don't think I've ever been so scared in my life. He would just appear and roar out of nowhere. The sulphur like smell of the ride has stuck with me for 20+ years since then. So even at zoos, gorillas are still a hard pass. So the Silverbacks, could've just as easily been dead last on this list too.
10.
San Jose Sabercats - This one could be so much better, but it seems stuck in the 80s World Football League or something. With so much creativity in the ISFL and DSFL logos, what happened here? Did the budget money dry up? Still Sabercats are pretty cool and I've always been a fan of the use of the same first letter in the city and nickname. This should be done much much more. So these two things help bring SJ up a bit, but there is still work to be do here in my eyes.

9.
Baltimore Hawks - Cool use of colours here, although the logo resembles the Arizona Cardinals a bit much for my liking. But I guess a lot of bird heads do look similar. So what can you do? Using a bird in the same area with the Ravens and an eagle used in some Capitals logos is very risky, but the Hawks do get away with it. Nothing flashy going on, but a good safe logo. And like the WFT, little chance of anyone getting offended at your name anytime soon.
8.
Colorado Yeti - Solid logo all around. Using the black image of a yeti, big foot, Kokanee sasquatch, abominable snowman, on the Colorado flag is a great combo. Colour scheme is pretty limited cause of said Colorado flag, but that's more than acceptable in this case.
7.
Honolulu Hahalua - Another name I needed to Google it's meaning. Interesting choice for name and logo, I'll say, but I do really like the colour choices. I think they work for Hawaii and they look very sharp in general. Full makes for that. Manta Rays are cool mascots as well, all though when I saw a thumbnail of this logo, I thought it was a man with a big mustache. My bad there. Logo isn't too busy and gets to the point once you know what the point is.
6.
Orange County Otters - How can you can not love a little gaffer like that for a mascot? C'mon! Clearly cuteness was the main goal when designing this guy. Not sure how he ties in to Orange County though. I think of the TV show The O.C. when I think Orange County, so it's an odd mix. Orange is also my favourite colour, so huge plus there. Not sure how you could improve on this logo unless you threw on some big puppy dog eyes. Teams would just hand over wins at the sight of it.

5.
Austin Copperheads - Oddly enough, this brand and logo goes up big on my list due to it's similarity in my mind to the San Antonio Texans of the CFL from the early 90s. Take a look at the main and secondary logo and colour scheme to see where I get it. ![[Image: 1504.gif]](http://content.sportslogos.net/logos/8/105/full/1504.gif)

Cool colour combo, teal and burnt orange?, are a great fit. Snake is very evil looking so that helps with the intimidation factor.
4.
Sarasota Sailfish - I said before that same first letter for city and nickname are huge bonuses for me and here we get another one! Clever as well that you have Miami Marlins and Sarasota Sailfish, both Florida cities and very similar creatures. Luckily Sarasota is on the other side of the coast to Miami, so huge snafu avoided there. Light blue and green as the primary colours are a great mix. This is an all round winning combo.
3.
Berlin Fire Salamanders - When I heard Fire Salamander, I thought that had to be a killing machine from Australia. But no! It's only found in Europe and doesn't kill nearly the amount of hapless fools as I thought. Either way, great logo, slick colours. Love the use of fire around the shield and the salamander "climbing" the shield too. Insert "Take my money" meme here.
2.
Yellowknife Wraiths - No bias here, as I was drafted by these same Wraiths. But maybe some bias as they are the only Canadian team in the ISFL. Big plus that they aren't in overused places like Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal either. Who would think of Yellowknife as a football powerhouse? Genius! Wraiths is a sweet name with lots of mystery and a pretty large pallet of logo and colour choices at your disposal. The designer hit a home run here. Black, grey and light blue are a solid mix, both bold and subtle at the same time. Two thumbs up.
1.
Arizona Outlaws - The amount of times I've created teams using the name Outlaws and or this type of logo, is almost embarrassing, but it's such a can't miss, that there's no way it can't be the winner. Red, beige and black are a super cool mix, similar to how well the D-Backs use it in baseball. So I like that tie as well. Come to think of it, the soon to not be Arizona Coyotes use this combo too. Regardless of the Coyotes tie, the logo and name themselves power this to the top for me.
