Howard Miller kept his nose out of trouble his entire high school and college football career, obeying the rules and restrictions of his specific teams and coaches to a fault. Some say he might have had a better rapport with the guys throwing him the ball if he actually went to some post-game celebrations or hung out after school. But instead, Miller was straight from class, to practice, and then home. It kept him on a pathway toward a professional football career while some around him had their hopes and dreams go up in flames due to poor decisions made while under the influence.
With that said, there are reports circulating that after the Kansas City Coyotes selected Miller with the first overall pick in the S6 DSFL draft, he more than made up for his lack of shenanigans throughout this younger years. Some claim to have seen Miller dancing shirtless on the roof of a Chicago nightclub, others claim Miller offered to pay for the next bet placed by every single guest in a casino, and there are even reports of Miller being arrested by Chicago PD, and his manager Ben Longshaw having to fork out an exorbitant amount of money to not only bail him out but keep things on the hush.
The rumours remain unsubstantiated, but it is no less entertaining to imagine the typically softly spoken Miller gallivanting around Chicago in the wake up of his draft selection. If the rumours are true, he'll hope his long-delayed hangover is cleared up by the first game of the preseason.
