With the final two weeks of the preseason now in the books, I thought I'd give a quick update on player performances. This edition won't include TPE or post count changes, due to the short amount of time that has passed.
Preseason Week Three

Preseason Week Four

Note: for some reason, it appears as though Tijuana and Norfolk didn't play in the final week of the preseason.
Final Preseason Totals

Analysis
Given that not every player got a chance to start in all 4 games, I thought a fairer way of analysing our performances would be to compare our stats as a per-game average.

First of all, I don't know how it worked out this way, but not a single one of us caught a TD pass.
Next, it appears that Miller and Catcherman are performing at a higher level than their competition. Despite the field being very close in terms of average catches per game, Miller and Catcherman can typically be depended on to make more happen when their number is called. The exception is, of course, DeMarco, who averaged the most YPC but was an outlier in terms of number of receptions. It must be the low hands rating, Dustin! What did I tell you?!
In reality, it's hard to know how much you can really take away from preseason stats. It seems as though Kansas City and San Antonio have each secured a strong duo of receivers heading into the regular season, while a little bit more work is needed from the guys in Tijuana and Portland.
Regardless of whether you put any stock in preseason results, this has nonetheless highlighted that there is going to be a lot of jockeying for position as the #1 receiver in the DSFL this year, and the #1 receiving prospect for S7 in the NSFL. I, for one, can't wait to see how things pan out!
I'll be back with an update after the first week of the regular season.
Cheers!
