No worries, my own update thread is pretty horrible so I deserve everything I get and then some. I believe that the TPE subtraction was properly handled:

I double checked with the big boss man and he confirmed that pre-S6 equipment TPE can't be reallocated so that TPE is, sadly, lost. Let me know if I misunderstood your post.
