To clarify in the money. Pens came in and wrote a couple of GIANT articles. He then got paid a salary of 5M this season. I think 2M is a drop in the bucket for someone with his activity.

In that context, yeah I can see it. I know I'm keeping only moderately afloat having come along a season earlier and written a bunch, and 2m would be a significant penalty for me, but then again I've gone out of my way to be paid in smaller deals so the salary also helps him. I just don't want to drive a new guy away over nonsense
