I wish I had 1 NSFL dollar for every time the Baltimore Hawks lost a game as a Vegas favorite or a pick 'em. If I did, I wouldn't need to write another article, hold a job, or collect a contract for the rest of my career. Now, this is before the shocking victory in Orange County, an underdog victory to that magnitude is a true shocker and went a long way of easing new frustrations of season 6. However, since mid season 4, through season 5, and the first half of season 6, the surprise losses have greatly exceeded surprise wins. Over time these things should even out, but they haven't yet. Some might point to season 2 and season 3 as years where the Hawks used up all their luck, but that would be incorrect. Based on the math, they had season winning totals that were completely in line with what was expected. Season 4 was a tragedy, they dropped a game against the Yeti that was about a 91% chance of victory that ultimately kept them out of the playoffs. The team went 7-7 that season, but based on the math that was a 9-5 team all day long. Misfortune has continued long after that into season 6. However, with the win @OC maybe these things will start to improve to the mean. (226)
