This is a great idea.
I've basically signed the minimum contract ever since I've joined and it's because I want my team to be as competitive as possible. Money doesn't really matter to me. If I needed more money, writing 600 words a week isn't challenging for me, and I know that my team will be more competitive for it.
Also, at the time my team was doing fairly poorly compared to the rest of the league.
I think if we implement this, it will fix the salaries for the elite players. This could have the effect of dispersing elite talent among different teams since no one team could budget for all of them and create better team parity among the league.
