Robbed: Write about why a team that failed to make the playoffs should have over somebody else. Can be completed at any point
Without a doubt the Baltimore Hawks easily should've made the playoffs ahead of the Yellowknife Wraiths in the NSFC. Yellowknife limped to a 7-6-1 record while Baltimore slumped(choked) to a meager 7-7 record which made the arse drop out of their season late on. Amazingly, come the end of the regular season, both teams had an identical home record of 4-3 and Yellowknife's saving grace was the embarrassing tie earlier in the season to the New Orleans Second Line which at the time, and presently is still ridiculed. Ironically this tie with New Orleans is amongst other things what spoiled Baltimore's season. Baltimore slumped to a 2 loss streak to finish the season while Yellowknife finished hot with exactly the opposite, 2 wins on the bounce to head into the playoffs. Baltimore boasted a stronger offence than the spooky ghosts, outscoring them 397 to 385 but the ice men had a more stout defense, allowing 339 to Baltimore's 351 in what many speculate to have been the red flag of the derailing of their season late on. Baltimore will bounce back though, a strong core does however get another year older and many of their players will begin to lose a bounce in their step, next year will be all or nothing for the NSFC outfit.
Sit-down with a star:Interview a player from a team that is not your own that is in the playoffs. You must ask them four questions and at least three must relate to the league in some way. YOU MUST POST THE QUESTIONS AND THEIR ANSWERS FOR CREDIT. (Can be completed at any point)
Brad Pennington, Kansas City Coyotes.
1. How has your time been in the DSFL (and the NSFL as a whole) ?
2. There has been rumblings about a possible shock retirement for Brad Pennington on various social media sites, can you address these claims?
3. You and your 2 other identical brothers have made quiet a splash in the league since joining, what would you say to critics that your "bark is worse than your bite" ?
4. Have you eyed up any potential NSFL team in the future? If so what draws you to them?
5. Your brother Chad Pennington has been quite vocal in recent media interviews, he claims that he's the "momma's boy" of your family. If that's true, what does that make you ?
1. Aw man, well I really love the support that I've received form my teammates and the front office staff in the DSFL. The Coyotes are a fantastic group of guys and I'm happy to have been a decent addition to them this late in the season. For some people it's hard to get attached to a team, but I think that perspective is what matters here. I'll enjoy my time with Coyotes, and if the road ends against the Pythons and if I do not have the opportunity to join them next season, I won't cry about it. The NSFL seems nice, although there may be a snake or two in the grass.
2. There's some truth here- I do plan on changing my career path, but I'll be here for quite some time. Not in a way Adnation may expect. All I can say at this point is wait and see.
3. 3 games, 25 tackles, 3 sacks. What else do you want me to say?
4. I'd like to be the guy who brings everything together a team to win that sweet everlasting glory that follows a championship. If a GM ever hears this, you better know that when you've got that first pick you have a pivotal choice to make. You either make or break a franchise by selecting the Ads.
5. The wise Ad of course. I'm the eldest and the most intelligent obviously.
