Every year there are a lot of promising faces that look great at their pro days and at the combine. But a stark reality is, for every Peyton Manning, there's a Ryan Leaf. For every Cam Newton, there's a Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert and Christian Ponder. In the NSFL, drafts are just as much of a gamble as in the NFL. In Season 4, the Otters drafted a player and then traded him away, ultimately obtaining TE Steven O'Sullivan, the brother of Otters LB Julian O'Sullivan. He was immediately given the nickname "Bro'Sullivan" and the team even shifted TE standout George Wright onto the defense to make room for him on the field of play. But, Bro'Sullivan had a rough rookie year and never really put up big numbers that are expected from that 1st draft pick. One could argue that his S6 stat line of 569 yards and 4 TDs isn't terrible, but if you really look at the production that OC has gotten from first round picks, somehow Stephen is on the bottom of the list. An argument could be made for the first overall pick in the Season 1 draft, J.J. Reigns as the biggest OC bust of all time, but even as an inactive he continued to help the team for many seasons.
