Chad's training regiment off the field is honestly pretty par for the course. An hour in the gym minimum, never skip leg day, a protein shake. One thing he figured out that works really well though when he was in High School. Every day he wakes up at 6 AM and goes to the nearby dog shelter and goes for a run with a dog. Some people might ask why that's any different than going for a run at any other time of day with his own dog. But the dogs at the shelter always look forward to their turn getting to run with Chad and the dogs push him to run faster than he would on his own. He starts every day excited to see the animals and it keeps him from sleeping in like some of the other guys like to do after a big game. Since he started running with the dogs he noticed he's a lot faster on the field. So maybe it's a little unorthodox, but it works.
