Ryan Applehort's training regime is light. When it comes to being a quarterback, it is less body and muscular work, so Applehort doesn't lift many weights. Most of his drills consist of his favorite, the touch drill. The touch drill consists of three stages. Applehort begins at the 5 yard line. He lofts up a pass over a cornerback and to a wide receiver in the corner of the end zone, then takes some steps back to the twenty, finds a receiver on a slant, and then backpedals to midfield, where he launches a bomb to a fading wide receiver. Applehort's set the record for this drill, one previously held by Vincent Draxel. Another drill he does is baseball throwing. Applehort played baseball in college as well, pitching. While it isn't his forte (He can only throw up to 83 MPH), he works on long distance throwing to improve his motion. The big part of his training, however, is the decision making. As many know, the on the field decision making of a quarterback can be the difference between winning and losing in a tight game. Applehort takes part in many training workouts to improve this, such as finding the better pass, doing multitasking drills where he'll talk to a coach in an active conversation while throwing, and finally, watching film. The film room is where Applehort spends the late hours, Studying up on the greats, such as Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and some grainy Dan Marino clips. He then heads to the Yeti gaming facility for some rounds of Fortnite to boost his reflexes.
