So I finally decided to let you in on my secrets. Little do people know that the secret to being great at one sport is being good at many. True athletes must have various skills and abilities that you get not only in the weight room or field but from other areas as well. I box to train my hand speed and power. The technique used on a speed or punching bag translates great with my pressing at the line. Ballet is great too. My flexibility has improved drastically as well as my balance. Basketball drills have greatly improved my leaping ability. Soccer has improved my cardio and footwork greatly (watch out, I may play a little kicker pretty soon too). Finally, I live for evenings in the batting cages to improve my hand eye coordination. When I combine all of these skills, I am able to become a much better athlete on the field.
