(S7) - PT 4 - Trade Deadline

If the Otters were able to add in a new piece to the team we would look to inject some youth to the offensive side of the ball. Right now with so much riding on our season one guys on offensive and regression hitting next season we desperately need some young talented players to help us continue to stay competitive for the next few seasons. The spot we could probably use the most help in would be tight end. Having been stuck with an inactive tight end for several seasons now just about any active would be a huge upgrade for us. But long-term we need to find someone to replace Robert Phelps and Bradley Westfield at wide receiver. So, to solve those offensive woes the Otters would look to add former first overall pick tight end Carlito Crush.

This guy could easily be the future of the passing game in Orange County. Sure we have to figure out our successor to Mike Boss as well, but whoever ends up taking over the reins from the goat is going to need a reliable pair of hands for the next few seasons as he develops, and a guy like Crush is perfect. Long-term we would look to move him outside where we would be far more effective in the passing game, maybe even getting him to drop weight and become a full-time wide receiver. With that kind of work ethic and the Orange County air raid offense he could easily become the best receiver in the league.
