There are a few players I would like to have on my team, really. For various reasons. But really, it's not so much the players that matter for me at this point. I've said it before, and I will say it again, the main reason I was content to remain in Baltimore all this time was my general manager. I don't intend to leave the Hawks -- unless it is in the best interests of the franchise; I'd hate to hurt the team -- so lately my focus has been on who could come in and take over as general manager. Who can we hire, that could come even remotely close to filling the void left my the passing of Gordon Gekko?
The best options are already in positions of leadership elsewhere, it seems. For example, Spike Crown has done great things in Yellowknife, and I'd like to see him take charge here. While Baltimore isn't exactly a "nice" city, it's got to be better than living in the ass-end of nowhere with nothing but snow and moose for company. Realistically, it's not an option. Why leave the Wraiths? And he'd also insist on bringing Mat Akselsen, you assume... but we already have Avon Blocksdale. My only other choice would probably be Rashaad Brooks. I watched him closely in the DSFL and was impressed with his leadership. Also, I imagine he would bring Eli Kamaka with him, which would significantly improve the defensive line (which helps me as a defensive back). I'm not sure we could entice him to make that jump, however.
