(S8) - PT 2 - Memorial Day

I never really had a Memorial Day tradition, usually working until 3pm or 5pm and then going to a friend's house for beer and barbeque, you know, the same stuff a lot of people do. It's always been too busy down the shore to go there this weekend so I take it easy.

Eight months ago I met my current girlfriend and we've become very very close, and I have become close with her family as well. Well her birthday is May 27, so it falls right around Memorial Day every year. So my new tradition is to spend Memorial Day weekend with my girlfriend.

This year we went into the city to a world-class beer bar and had a few drinks. We then went to a world-class vegetarian restaurant that ended up costing $100 before tax, including a drink, and we got to try 6 small plates of vegetables that filled us up so much that we ended up cutting the night a bit short. I was shocked.

We had a beer afterwards, but mostly took it easy and went to bed early.

We spent Sunday and Monday with her family and time just goes too quick. So that's how I'm going to be spending my Memorial day from now on since I'm positive that she is going to be a part of my life for a long long time.
