Memorial Day is another outing with the family. It’s a time to reflect on the people and loved ones we have lost in battles outside our land. We owe something, anything to these brave men and women who have risked and in some cases given their lives so that we may enjoy what some people call freedom. The old saying goes “Freedom isn’t free”. I couldn’t agree more. We pay a hefty price. In this day and age we have a thin veil of freedom as the government seems to overstep their boundaries inch by inch, day by day. Brad and his family like to go and visit memorials around the city, place flowers on graves, and just live freely. If he had not been drafted by the Orange County Otters Brad would most certainly be a military man. Brad has always seen himself as a true patriot even if he doesn’t believe in the current government. He is a man of the land and of the nation. He trusts the people and understands that more than one opinion can be correct. May the future babies of our nation know the injustices we have ourselves committed and learn from them and live full and rich lives in our great nation.
