Much like the comic book character he's named after, Bucky Barnes is a true patriot. He has a great respect for any man or woman that decides to go into the armed forces. To him, those people and their families deserve the highest praise; they are the ones that go to war so that he doesn't have to, and he couldn't be more grateful. Memorial Day to him is a two-parter: wake up early and head down to the nearest veterans cemetery/memorial, pay respects, say a prayer, maybe talk to some of the families that are there, and then head back home to start making some food. Every year his hometown in Brooklyn holds a giant block party, and even now that he's in San Antonio, he doesn't intend to give up that tradition. He's going to make his mother's macaroni and potato salad recipe, and throw a block party in his new home. Getting to this point in life it's important to look back and give back to the community. Please, pay no attention to the fact that his nickname is "The Winter Soldier," he promises that he isn't a Soviet Russian sleeper agent created to assassinate and destabilize. He hopes.
