I did see the context of the conversation, because I watched it happen live, and I still don't think it was constructive or well-intentioned. Maybe next time try, "Talk to the GMs if it's not something you want to do, they'll understand", rather than "demand a trade" and a tirade about how bad the team is right off the bat.ugh I need to sleep because I'm waking up four hours to run a 5k...yay...
Look, I personally have nothing against you. And I think there's room in this league for making fun of other teams. But when constant negative talk about our team is peppered throughout the forum and discord, it makes league fatigue much more pronounced. It's not conducive to securing and maintaining new members, either. What if someone is trying out the league, gets drafted by the Yeti and is then humiliated constantly by association? Not great for retention. It has its place, but there's a line.
I take part in this league for fun and to try and help others do the same. It would be nice not to sign on and see the equivalent of "you're wasting your time" plastered wherever we look.
You're not enemy #1. You're not an enemy at all. Yes, we'll see you on the field, and honestly, I hope you have a great game and great season with your new team because this is meant to be an enjoyable pastime and my hope that everyone here is having a good time extends to you, too.
ok fair, but I assume that if he's being asked to switch positions and he's apprehensive a conversation with the GMs happens. wasn't trying to mean any ill will there but having been asked by a few teams in the draft before I was picked if I would switch to o-line and then being asked after to switch, I made an assumption that it was something he felt pressure to do and felt like he had to do it. it's tough to tell a team no.
you really can't complain about the negative vibes. you left the sabercats high and dry during a historic collapse in s2. you don't get to sit through the bad for one team after bailing on another without warning. mind you that bailing without warning caused a few draft picks to say "your team is inactive and a joke, I will not play for you and will hold out". some currently on the Yeti roster.
all that said, I will be more cognizant of the words that I use and what i say.
