This is done annually on the 25th of April, with many attending services of remembrance throughout the day, though Miller favours the dawn service in particular. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australians and New Zealanders, though also broadly commemorates servicemen and servicewomen.
With that said, having moved to the United States, and even regardless of the fact, Miller deeply appreciates the sacrifices of the military personnel and civilians who have fought, suffered, and died for the freedoms enjoyed by those who remain. He doesn't party or go away for the long weekend, despite being given the freedom to by the Colorado Yeti coaching staff, but rather takes the time to reflect on what was given up so that he could be here to make that choice. With that said, he doesn't think there is anything wrong with taking the freedoms we have been provided with and using them to enjoy fun times with friends and family - in his opinion, it's what those who serve would want.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them
