(S8) - PT 5 - Rebuild

I’d like to think that the Orange County Otters are slated to go on the rebuilding path sooner rather than later. Their core has been aging and within 2-3 seasons from now they’ll be at the point where it would be more beneficial to tear most of the team down and restart from scratch. Guys like Westfield, Phelps, Winchester are all still near, or at, the top of their positional rankings but their dominance has waned and look to slide down. And with how regression is structured in this league, it’s brutal compared to other leagues, it will be hard to compete for more than a few seasons before retooling and/or rebuilding.
The main cause for concern in my eyes for the Otters will be finding a new quarterback to take over Mike Boss when he slows down too much. Boss is far and away the strongest QB around and is setting the bar very high for future players at the position. The Otters will have to go with him until he decides to call it quits or eventually move him once they feel another QB can take over for him and get some return for the future hall of famer.
