Being on the Philadelphia Liberty there did seem to be a sense of imminent doom coming to the team. There only seemed a few years left for the team to truly compete and the fact that they won a year prior really gave a sense that at least for now the objective was met. With many of the players in their downside of their years it was a matter of time before they either retired or the team dealt them for draft picks. Eventually the day came. With Tyler Oles retiring, and Philly management trading all the original players to almost everyone and anyone that would accept. With Dimirio going to the New Orleans, Marmeladov going to the Baltimore Hawks with Cliff Rove. Philly was banking on getting picks and tanking to get a higher pick in the draft. Well… they got the picks they were looking for but strangely enough they did good for a little bit and are second in the NSFC. While the Hawks who many were expecting to make a big leap have struggled ever since the trades. Eventually though many of these teams that have been the top dogs in the league will eventually have to face the retirement and the curse of the tail-end of careers of their players. It will be interesting to see how the managements are able to refloat their ships.
