I know your pain. As a fellow CB, I often questioned why I put myself through the litany of being a decent-high TPE earner when the stats never seemed to back it up. I was never in the top tier CBs. For whatever reason, the sim just loves to ride Dermot, Delacour and Bayley's stats. I always felt like I was the Upper 2nd tier, with Canton, Carter, King and Bly. I know I'm just as good, if not better, earner than some of them. But they got all the stats.
You have second most passes defended in the history of the league, despite not playing in the first season. 24 INTs might not look as impressive but are still 7th best and back on good pace this season.
In your rookie season, you got 2 INTs, 13 PD and Def. TD vs mine 4 PD - yup that's all I got (out of position and all, but no one is going to bother taking that into consideration in the future).
Through three seasons you got 9 INTs and 50 PD vs mine 2 INT and 26 PD.
I'm not even sure how it's anything but comparable, you had decent, even great start to your career not stinking one, being completely useless like mine.
I'm currently riding a streak of 5 straight games as defensive back of only tackles - probably a record too.

But as Crush kind of said in his posts, here, it's all about having fun. You were an Otter during the short time I was absent in the locker room and during that period I was battling for my life, so I didn't get to know you much if at all. And it's a shame because since my return the locker room has gotten a bit more pep to it and I'm sorry your time in OCO wasn't amazing. Also, being the 3rd CB in our roster, behind myself and King, I understand where some unhappiness could begin to foster.
Glad you won that battle! And my reluctance about the otters is more about traitor rank I received after the trade and overall distaste of how it happened immediately after lost Ultimus without even asking me about it - just that it "went quickly" and "there was no time for it".

Sometimes it's just the scheme. And a lot of time, it's the sim. I had to play CB behind Bavitz my whole career. He took all the INTs I wanted to get. We drafted King to play opposite me, and despite me having a lot more TPE, he routinely got 1-2 more INTs than I did per season. I was frustrated by the situation too. CB is a shit position. When we drafted you, we initially wanted you to play Safety or move me to Safety eventually and you'd take on a bigger role. We always find places for actives. Sometimes the sim just shit on you. Ask Jiggly how the sim has treated Atwell. She's lined up a lot. But Westy still gets all the TDs when it's not Crush. Up until week 12, I had the same number of receiving TDs as Atwell did. That's a travesty.
Bavitz got whole 4 INTs in S2-S5, when you got 13 in the same span, so I doubt he took all the INTs you wanted. With King that might be the case, still, you got a healthy dose of deflections and he is back behind you this season.
Glad to know about that plan now, the only thing I was informed about is that I'll be playing SS in S7. Respectfully you haven't found a place for me as a team if you just decided to throw me away in the trade.
About Atwell is it really? A lot of TDs this season is scored by the RB using 1% goal line tactic. Otters have most passing TDs, but is it a surprise that Atwell being 3rd string WR 300 TPE behind both Westfield and Crush didn't get those TDs? Maybe as you are saying really about the scheme favouring those two in the scoring situation since they lead the league with 11 and 17 TDs respectively.

In your case, you have Bayley and Oakes who have more TPE than you with Harrison who, despite a lower TPE, is a Safety which for some reason the sim often likes to prefer. Your player is good. Not far off of mine. I honestly think it's scheme and talent around you.
Fun fact - we reversed roles last sim and I played safety while Oakes took my corner against SJS - effect? I got yet again only 4 tackles, while Oakes got on top of it also 2 PDs and Interception. And sure that might be sim shitting on me as you are suggesting, but why I'd want to continue with that?

Look at the top CBs though. Delacour. Myself. Dermot, Canton, Bayley. We're all old. We're gonna be retiring at some point. This means a new wave of young CB talent will be coming. And soon. If you can stick it out, then you'll be on that wave.
Sorry to disappoint but there is no young talent (S6+) in this position. Also, I'm not top earner in my regression class since you are screwed for not creating in the right moment for 80 TPE as a waiver create and newcomer to sim leagues (it was still possible to double dip on equipment back then too), which is hurting even my case for potential longevity.

^ Those are all CBs from last 4(!!! S6-S9) drafts on current NSFL teams rosters. If it's not a sign of position getting totally abandoned I'm not sure what is. You could argue whether it is due to lack of draftees or prospects going inactive after being CB for few minutes, doesn't change the fact this position is becoming barren.
There are some decent prospects in DSFL (though the same you could say about other people from S6-S9 classes) and GMs (like @Bzerkap) apparently want to play this position, because it's going to be so needed. My sincere condolences, maybe we should just terminate it and replace with bots like with offensive line?

But, like it's been said before, you're here to have fun. If CB is not fun for you right now, and even if you are on that next wave, if you think you'd get more fun by playing a different position, then do what makes this place fun for you. I'm glad you're having fun in NOLA, and I regret that we couldn't be that for you in OCO. Maybe winning a ring this season will perk up them spirits? i think it's yours to lose, in all honesty. Nothing washes out the bitter tastes of shitty stats like the sweet taste of championship champagne. I've sipped it 3 times myself. Trust me, it's way sweeter than you think.
Would be happy to get it to taste, instead so far got two loses there, so I guess it's not making it any better. I talked about the Otters before and don't want to burn any bridges, but I really doubt about my return there ever (unless someone trades me again out of the blue, but I think that would be a very shortlived decision then).
The sad fact is, because of really quick regression and not being able to earn maximum TPE along the way I'm halfway through regression and any chances of building a legacy, gathering pro-bowl appearances along the way and ultimately building HoF case are already out of the window, even if I switch this player won't ever sniff individual accolades or career milestones - I played 1/3 of the games Lavelle, Delacour or you did, while having 1/20th of Dermot's Interceptions or 1/9th of your pass deflections.
Add this to the fact that I'm not going to earn more than a milestone again, man to man archetypes nerfs (that weren't even applied to many players, of course, Fyodorovich got it applied), the new fact of height having an impact (when at the moment of creation I asked about and just went with any value, for my misfortune the quite low one) - welp, that's a struggle to still have a good spirit. But I'm nonetheless trying and thanks for a lengthy message, it was a pleasure reading and responding to it!
