Robbed: This is an easy one to write about considering how close the NSFC playoff spots were. Although they were the champions from last season, it was no guarantee that they'd be able to replicate their success again and the Colorado Yeti snuffed out Yellowknife's candle of hope this season by going 8-6 to edge them out of the playoffs. The Yeti won a pivotal game in week 13 against the Wraiths in Yellowknife which prevented them from making the playoffs. Not only were they favorites to win that game, but many people still believed they would be able to win the Ultimus again. Should they have made in the playoffs over Colorado? Were they 'robbed' of that opportunity to do so? Probably...even with an aging Akselsen and cast, the Wraiths were still strong in the passing game and still had a top secondary with Lavelle, Taylor, and Hardrool. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to stop the rising Colorado Yeti who were struggling in the middle of the season but hit their stride towards the end. Applehort was simply unstoppable for the Wraiths that game and he solidified the team as a playoff contender going 28/37 for 367 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Championship Game Recap:There are always a lot of great plays in the Ultimus so it's hard to find the 'one' moment that really helped tip the scale in a specific team's favor. This year's Ultimus was even more special because we saw 2 teams that had the potential to win it for the first time in their team's history. Baltimore was always on the outside looking in and New Orleans was making their first appearance in the Ultimus hoping to redeem the former Las Vegas franchise. The best play of the game came in the fourth quarter when New Orleans started their drive in the 9:36 mark. After a series of completions to Savea and Smallwood, the team was looking to get their 3rd down off a Smallwood carry. At around the 7:44 mark, we saw Maximus make a massive completion to Mayran Jackson for 46 yards which gave the team their 3 yards and some. After that, Baltimore's defense appeared to be mentally defeated and another rush by Smallwood followed by a completion to Evans put New Orleans up 34-24 and saw them take the lead again after having an unsuccessful third quarter. Those 46 yards were the key to winning the Ultimus for New Orleans.

Sit-down with a fan: Answered @`Fire-Bred` questions:
1) After taking a brutal lose to the Hawks in the playoffs how does Kamaka feel?
It wasn't a brutal loss in our eyes. It was a great chance to show the league that we could compete with the best and we were close to beating them. It illustrates how close we are to becoming a championship caliber team. Kamaka is feeling optimistic about the next season.
2) With the Hawks gaining speed what are the Yeti doing to keep up and try to get past them to get an Ultimus win
The Hawks will be hitting regression soon and with a few of their key players retiring I think we have a chance in the next 1-3 seasons to take the NSFC by storm.
3) When do you think Yeti will find themself winning the Ultimus.
The next 1-3 seasons. We're only a few key pieces away from making it happen.
4) How many holes does a straw have 1 or 2
1 long hole....
