Jaylin Hobbs Grew up in Detroit, his father was a huge redwings fan and as soon as Jaylin showed any athletic ability his father enrolled him in hockey. while that was something he did well in it wasn't until early high school when he tried out for the high school football team. He instantly fell in love with the game. Deep down he knew if his father found out it would break his heart so he keep it secret as long as he could. He played another season and a half before his father would find out his secret but by then Jaylin had already started making a name for himself.

Jaylins father had a hard time coming to terms with his son loving Football over Hockey, until one day there seemed to be a revolving door of recruiters coming to talk to Jaylin about possibly playing for them. Ohio state, Texas A&M and Purdue were just some to name a few. All were great schools and great options but the thought of Mr. Hobbs being so far from his son Jaylin made it really tough on him until one day The Michigan Wolverines came knocking. Jaylin had fallen in love with Michigan and the fact that he could stay in Michigan made him happy. Seeing his son happy made Mr. Hobbs decision to continue to let Jaylin play easy. It became the turning point in their relationship as father and son, as they now love the same things.
