Why should you care?
1. You get TPE for recruiting
2. The competition of the league right now is just not very good. Of the 147 non bot NSFLers this season, currently 68 of them are below 300 TPE. Even if you think we don’t need more members, we definitely need more active members. It’ll increase parity meaning we won’t have teams like Philadelphia and Arizona who are firmly last in their divisions. Being on a team that you know from the start is going to be last kills player interest.
3. The quality of the league is going to fall hard because of sheer numbers. There are 147 players in the league right now this offseason with regression (3) and self retiring (21) we’re losing 24 players. Next offseason with just regression alone we’re losing 15 players! If the number of self retiring players holds, not even increases, we’ll lose 36 players in one offseason! That means we lose 16% of the league in the first offseason and assuming we replace every one of the those players we lose 25% of the league the following offseason.
4. MOST IMPORTANT: This isn’t something that only affects one team. In total this offseason we’re losing 24 players. Next based on regression we’re already losing 15 players, and you can This offseason we’re looking at teams losing the following numbers of players.
