Back in North Florida, specifically Tallahassee, hunting is a prominent interest. Bailey Cook is one of many people from this area who enjoy it. He loves the wilderness, a love that is not limited to simply hunting. Cook is also an avid hiker and fisherman, but for the sake of this story, we are sticking with hunting. After a long Friday at the Maclay School, the receiver and his friends would take Tannerite, a reactive rifle substance, and go hog hunting. According to an interview for a high school magazine, Cook was quoted that the hogs "just go flyin' like forty feet in the air".
With the move to San Jose to join the Sabercats, it is only natural that fewer opportunities to go hog-hunting presented themselves. But one day, Cook decided to bring the hogs to him, more specifically, to the locker room. After practice one day, he was the first off the field, and went to the crate he had brought with him to the facilities. After bringing the crate into the locker room, he let two hogs run free. The hogs, presented with an unfamiliar environment, truly went "hog wild" and ran in every which way. Cook's teammates were shocked to find hogs in the locker room, and everyone already knew the person responsible for this. Linebacker A.C. Hackett said, "Here we go again with Bailey and the hogs and all the Tannerite."
Only time will tell if this was the final hog related incident in the San Jose Sabercats locker room.
